Brad's side draft kept Kyle from taking the lead and probably winning on the next to last lap.

Kyle, being a good teammate to Hamlin, kept side-drafting Logano to keep him from getting a run to push Brad.

Hamlin won all three segments. JGR was also strong at Daytona last year, with Kenseth leading a lot of laps (JGR cars were running 1-2-3 for a while last year, too...) before blowing his engine.

Although it would be unlikely, this race brought up the subject of what would happen if the entire field crashed and was unable to finish the race. Would it be like the 2001 The Winston where NASCAR would allow backup cars to resume the race?

This may be one of the most wackiest Bud Shootout/Sprint Unlimited races I've ever seen.

Nope. It's only a shortsighted race director and an act of mother nature happening at the same time that allows for such a thing.

He's already loaded up the trailer though! Gonna take too long to get him off there.

My guess is that someone would repair their car enough to finish the last few laps, even if it was at very low speed. In order to win, someone has to complete the full race distance, barring a weather event shortening the race.

I am not exactly excited about much this year in Nascar, just kinda blah over the last few years.

Not gonna lie, I actually was interested in this race and that hasn't happened quite a lot with Cup lately. I may be swayed, but I can't promise I'll change mah mind.

It was more or less chess at 200 MPH. The white king got trapped and his queen got beat by the black king's Buschob on the backstretch. I enjoyed it for what it was.

Easy money. $30k for two laps is hard to beat. Terry has a guaranteed entry until they change the rules.

You should be excited. Last year's major protagonists, JJ and Kenseth, both made major unforced mistakes. Plus, the new anti-Jimmie rule will ensure a dramatic finish to the season.
