I like how Jackson went out last lap on Fp2 did the fastest S1 and not even his fastest top speed in V1 and decided not to complete the lap. From what I seen there the Ford is atleast 1.5mph faster than the next fastest car in a straight, if not more. Then you look at the poor BMWs 4-5mph slower and nowhere as a result.

Jackson did did a 58.2 with a 138.3 mph on the V1 split... Next fastest is 135.5.. Sure the Ford doesn't need a deboost..

The fact still remains if the focus was all conquering then Cole would be up there aswell but he isn't he's no where so you have to give credit where credits due Jackson can drive and had the talent.

if you don't like that then there's an ignore button there for a reason, make use of it like I do.

When he got that pole at Knockhill it was running more than 400rwhp

You miss the point. Totally. A quick driver doesn't magically add 3 mph to your top speed.

Just got back from the circuit, Titch even said Jackson will "be on pole obviously" a couple of minutes into the session.. He went on to break the lap record. It's a fast track, they might not be that much faster through the traps, but with few twisty bits at this track, that small advantage is going to add up over a lap, and over a race.

Also, Silverstone, you are taking the 🤬 with you food prices now... I'm not going to pay 7 quid for a manky bit of bacon in a bun.

BTCC seems to have high enough quality drivers that I wouldn't expect one to pull a 3mph advantage through skill alone.

But it's not a drag race, theres braking areas and corners too like i said if it was all done the car then Cole would be up there too but he isnt, if people cant give Jackson credit then they don't know talent when they see it.

He's good but not as fast as the other drivers. Silverstone is 3 long straights in effect.

The Focus isn't that much fast when you look at the average over the 3 sessions

Quick drivers in certain disciplines yes but not Mat Jackson in touring cars.
