JJ didn't earn that win. At all. 🤬 stupid OT rule and GG NASCAR for cleaning that Speedy Dry you 🤬 IDIOTS!! :banghead:
For once, I pin that loss all on Larson. The kid just cannot handle late race restarts at the front. Even when he won in California, he was botching them and got lucky no one got around him.
@outlaw4rc I'm surprised you didn't post the Larson losing flowchart yet.
Shame on me.

Now I can finally download it.

As upset as I am that the race had to end the way it did, I'm actually happy for Jimmie Johnson.

On a serious note, I hope to see him win a few more races this year and capture his 8th championship, with everything that's been going on with NASCAR the past couple of years.

I wasn't the biggest fan of his growing up, but damn it, he knows how to get the job done, and I have a lot of respect for him.

Danica Patrick finishing in the top 10 on a non-plate track can only mean one thing, time for an overused but still classic meme:

Right after the announcement RFR announces that they are suspending all operations for the #6 Xfinity team but keep Darrell Wallace Jr around for any future opportunities. Good for Bubba for his shot at the 43 but looks like he won't have a job after it's all said and done.

I am really happy to see what Bubba can do in such an iconic ride as the 43. I'm elated to see him get his shot at Cup, even though I'm sad to see his Xfinity team shutting down after Saturday.

I'm waiting to see it again on a ticker because Jayski doesn't seem to be working ATM, but apparently because of the tire coming off the 18 at Dover, Kyle's crew chief and two crewmembers have been suspended for four races...What...the 🤬?

That is correct. Checked Jayski this morning.

Why? Does NASCAR believe they did it on purpose? Is there a rule in the book covering it? I can see getting a message across about lug nuts, but this seems excessive a bit.
I would assume it's severity could be contributed to the fact the wheel came off on track. I do agree with you that is seems a bit excessive since it happened during caution and not when other cars were at speed.

While the penalties may seem excessive, I believe it that the action NASCAR is taking is ultimately for the better. I hate the way pit road operates in NASCAR. There are unsafe releases on every pit stop, crew members losing tires, and ultimately things like we saw last weekend at Dover creating extremely dangerous situations for the crew members and drivers. In my opinion, there is much more emphasis on speed in the pits than safety. We are extremely lucky injuries sustained on pit road aren't greater in magnitude and severity. I am not saying that we should make fast pit stops redundant and not offer any incentive for crew members to work fast but I think there needs to be harsher regulations and penalties for teams who compromise the integrity of their car or personnel safety (on any team) for a faster pit stop.

They mentioned those same penalties coming to the #18 team during the race Sunday. DW said it was a rule put in place back when they didn't have the 5 lug nut rule.

Seems it was purely an accident this time, but could have been disastrous.

I can't get Jayski to run right on my phone or my laptop, and the room I'm staying in is TV-less at the moment. What's going on with the trucks and Cup?

Crash coming to the white flag in the Truck race. Peters flipped onto his roof on the front stretched after digging into the grass. Bell beat Briscoe to the start/finish line (which would end up being the last scoring loop) by inches due to the caution.

My understanding has been that NASCAR uses video evidence instead of scoring loops if they have to decide the final order. To me, it looked like Briscoe was neck to neck or even ahead of Bell when the lights turned on. I don't quite get the call.

I think even the announcers were slightly confused.

Wait...who picked up Peters after Red Horse closed shop?
