Bowyer just went for a hell of a ride there. He is done, Kurt Busch is done, and both Jones and Jamie Mac got involved as well.

Shame for Trevor Bayne. Trying to pull an Alexander Rossi and had a really good shot at the win. This caution ruins any hope of him winning.

Online NASCAR lobbies are more authentic than I thought...

Anyone know if there's a curfew time for this track? I don't believe this place has lights.

Edit: TV may have just answered my question. Probably about 40ish more minutes, and it looks like we're gonna need it.

Interesting to think that the last man standing from the Hendrick camp this race is Kasey Khane considering he's been the weakest driver on the team for the past few years.

I think it's the 2nd. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's the second time.
To be clear, I mean a wreck happening before they even take the green for the restart, a la Harvick at Talladega a few years ago.

The cars are moving again... It's quite late already...almost nine o'clock?

I heard NASCAR said they could call the race because of darkness - since IMS doesn't have lights, unlike Daytona...

Caution #14. Denny Hamlin smokes and crashes...and Kasey Kahne steals the win from Brad Keselowski - as the caution comes out AFTER Kahne crosses the overtime line.

A record 14 cautions. But congratulations to the man from the Seattle area on his first-ever Brickyard 400 win after a great restart!

NASCAR totally swallowed the caution flag there. They clearly had enough time to throw the caution before he got to the line. I'm sure the impending sunset impacted their choice, but it still feels so inconsistent from race to race how they make these decisions.

Can anyone summarize the messiest Brickyard 400 we've ever seen? What happened - a whole lot of crashes today, not to mention thunderstorms!?

This. Have been noticing this since I started watching in '08. This time they had a good reason to be inconsistent, I give them that.
