650PP Circuito de Madrid 5 Laps Help

When people say what car they won with, we really need to know the tires they were using too.

Also, if you win with a weaker car, please let us know what car was 2nd.

I hope this race sticks around for awhile, as it seems it will be the go to grinder/test race.

Won with the Zonda R on RH. The F1 was 5 or 6 seconds behind.

Since when (GT5 version) does the tire compound not influence the PP? Using softer tires than stock makes the latest seasonal events a bit too easy to my liking (while having maxed the PPs for the events). Thus far, I've used the stock tires on all cars, but I just couldn't win these latest events using those, not within a few runs anyway, maybe a few more efforts can help.

Usually they tell you what opponent tires are, but for some reason they don't for these A-Spec "Challenges". Both events so far have been 400pp/CS, 500pp/SH, 650pp/RH.

Hehe, I figured so much.

But I do feel proud for having won all (?) those other races on stock tires.

But, it does make me wonder, why do the tires' compound no longer have an effect on a car's PP? In my humble opinion, they have a very profound influence on a car's handling.

They do, but I think in a lot of cases you want to race on same tires (online especially) and including tires in the PP calculation made sorting and finding cars by PP a nightmare.

But I agree I think they should have left in another option where you could take tire performance into account, though I don't know how accurate it was...

Theres no mclaren or ford gt lm in your grid and judging by your finish time youd finish about 10 seconds behind the ford gt had it been there.

True but its still gold, the fellow that did trial mountain in the stock corsa in the last seasonals, his best lap was 1:48 something due to the opposition being lame.

I think everything should affect the PP, the gearbox doesent and that is a massive boost, same with the suspention again a massive performance boost. Another odd one is turning the aero DOWN reduces it, i don't get that. If you have max aero on a car its a handicap surely?

You could take a stock car change the gearbox, tyres and gearing and still be on the same pp. Don't change the oil though

I did it with the GT LM in pole, finished a bit less than 5 seconds behind him. I was continually making up time, but an Integra is just too gutless to win it. Keep in mind it's heavier than anything on the grid and is short by hundreds of horsepower.

Edit: And my point was... It's an easy win. Even if you have ****** cars waiting for a good (slow) grid will allow easy victory

Been grinding all morning this event. My hardest grid was with
1. F1 gtr
2. Zonda lm
3. Ford GT

However it wasnt that hard in the f1 gtr.
My best lap was a 1.15.2xx

Once you've got the grid you want you can just keep starting the race again without exiting and grind away till you have 20m. To be honest with the right setup it is a cakewalk. (Except some people don't like/can't do the corners on Madrid... I'll agree, I didn't like them at first, have to let them grow on you).

Point taken though. Drive well and use the right weapon for the job, and it's easy as pie

Surprised myself getting a 3rd with an maxed out Enzo! Looked like it had the pace but alas was still down nearly 20 seconds. Nice thing about this race is missing a win still pays nicely, all the better to experiment with various cars.

Just buy a Mclaren F1 GTR.
It wins every time so easily pays for itself

The positive thinker knows that when you do something well, you should be able to win at that challenge again and again. With me, it seems like I can win the 650 PP race... then NEVER win it again.

McLaren F1 GTR - failed (another F1 GTR was in the race).
McLaren F1 that I used to win it for the first time in my first run - failed.
Audi R10 TDI - failed twice.

I may just stick to the A-Spec 500 PP races as my maximum. This 650PP s:censored: is ridiculous for me. It's like I can't win a certain 650PP race again even after winning the race one time.

No offence but you must be driving badly. Now I'm not the best driver but I still manage to catch F1 GTR by the 4th lap if it is in the same race. I'm always using F1 GTR as well.

This event is quite manageable in the Toyota GT One, as mentioned previously in this thread. I think this is the best handling LMP car in the game. I just have to drop down the maximum speed to around 180... that gets you shooting out of the turns quicker.

I used almost all Race-Cars for this race and for the one at Spa.

My favourite was the 350Z LM Race Car.
It´s the weaker one (Fairlady Z M Race Car has more power and therefore more pp) and with 616pp it´s quite a challenge if your against the McLaren.
First try with RS´s won with 4sec over the F1 and passed him 2 turns before the roundabout.

The Ford GT LM Race Car spec II is a good choice if yoiu want an easy race.
Passed the Leader mid 2nd Lap.
