Will i ever get the hang of this track?

A juiced up TVR V8S '91 was good enough for Gold, but since i tuned it myself it was just that ;)

Brands Hatch - TVR V8S.jpg

Enjoy this one ... and again thanks to @nowcontrol for setting up the thread!

EDIT: Was trying the Stock TVR Tuscan Speed without success :banghead:, took a break, came back and no Rocket in the line-up :) - felt like cheating

550PP at Brands Hatch:
500PP
- 1:39.832 - 9:15.939 - TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00 - SH - FR - 360bhp - 1100kg - Seven Fireblade '02 - 9:22.008
(Wheel, MT, ABS1)

Mediocre driving didn't stop me - without a Rocket in the line-up again, on purpose, as the Elise was Stock ;)

550PP at Brands Hatch:
440PP
- 1:41.478 - 9:26.669 - Lotus Elise 111R '04 - SH - MR - 194bhp - 860kg - Seven Fireblade '02 - 9:28.242
(Wheel, MT, ABS1)

At this PP it doesn't feel like cheatin' anymore - still doesn't feel like racin' either ;)

First attempt a win the the MP-4C and I was determined to beat Mr. Pap in the prize AC 427. With a little help from part of @GhostRider65 tune and part of my own which I have been learning from @skeagracing I got Pap on the last lap. The only performance part on the AC was the supercharger. Did my own tranny but used @GhostRider65 LSD settings. The McLaren at 550 PP was a fun race. The race in the AC was a challenge as I spun out twice but running a 4.11 final drive and all that torque was more than enough to overcome my spin. I am determined to lower my lap times with the AC. I love this car and it is one of the few that actually sound like a real car.

Can't believe how many times I posted in the wrong place today. I have definitely had the brain fog today.

Papp turned up in my race too. I used an Elise111R, which was pretty hairy at 520pp. I don't know if it goes higher, I didn't check, it just happened to be the first eligible car that popped up in my garage. Starting 51 seconds behind irritated me, then it was a balls-out smash and bang fest to get to the front, only to have Papp pretty much give up when I got close.

Ended up posting in the wrong place twice today. Brain fog is a terrible thing.

This couldn't be the same D.Pap as the previous event or I'm a much better driver than I was the last time this event was run. I took my '04 Elise 111R at 544PP and with the exception of getting in the dirt right after I passed Pap, I was able to easily catch and pass him again for the win. The '04 Elise is from a previous event because when I got in it it had comfort softs. I put sports hards on it and just went on. Not my tune but one of @shaunm80 tunes. I also have been watching the YouTube video of Brands Hatch by @Tidgney. I'm getting through the first turn much better and after I passed Pap at the end of lap 4 I just over drove the corner and got in the sand pit. I figured I was done, but was able to catch and pass him again 2 turns later.

Edit: Has Pap been in every race that everyone has entered? Please let me know. I saw that @Baron Blitz Red used the Spitfire to win. I bought one and tuned it to the max so it has 502 PP. I entered the race and Pap was in P2. Before the first lap was finished I was 48 seconds behind. I finished P2 nearly 18 seconds behind. I added ballast which lowered my power but the car handles very well. Now I'm a bit confused.

I tried very hard to match your time last night, but it wasn't to be. Not like it matters, had I beaten it you would have certainly beat my time again by several seconds lol.

How many AI cars did you lap ?, I lap 3 cars and I was amazed how easy this expert race was. I am going to test others cars with a lot less PP.

I never look at the names unless one of them acts weird, or is ultra competitive. I didn't see either in this race, I passed all the cars in the McLaren like they were sitting still. But I'll look next time.

I think 3 as well. I'm going to try my favorite Elise tonight, I think it's 507PP.

Thanks to all who let me know about Pap.👍 I've run this event 8 times and Pap has been in every one. I have beat him every time except with my Spitfire. I guess I'll just keep entering until he is not there so I can run my Spitfire. @coryclifford, you are right about the Elise 111R, it is a blast to drive.

I tried 8 times to try and find a no Pap race:confused:so the Spitfire will go back to the garage for the time being. I didn't have many British cars kinda like my lack of Ferarris at Ascari. I bought 2 TVR's. A '91 V8s, an '02 Tamora and another Lotus, '09 Evora. Won every race against Pap. I used @shaunm80 tune for the Tamora with tweaks of my own and man what a fun race. Caught Pap in lap 4, lapped an Elise on lap 5. Brands Hatch was another track I previously struggled with but now it's fun at this PP level. I only took one picture and that was with the Tamora. I tuned my TVR's and the Evora, but used @shaunm80 LSD setting and added rigidity. Really fun car to drive. Pay out should be more but with the 200%, 1 Million credits per race and on top of that it's been fun. I guess I'll go to Rome and buy some more Italian cars.

Every race but the first one where there were two Caterhams.
