For those of you interested in inverting your Clubsport pedals (and I highly recommend you do), I have released a "how to" guide which can be found here:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3955508#post3955508

This is what you will have when you're finished:

Enjoy...

Is there a button on the PGT3RS V2, which has the same function as the PS button on the DFGT (brings up the XMB on a PS3)?

Looks good!

The only problem no matter how you do is that 1 or 2 pedals is always wrong.
In your example you want the gaspedal to stay on the ground but the brake and clutch upside down like this.

since it´s impossible, your way is the best and planning to do it myself in the future. Thanks for the DIY m8!

????

Do you mean the standing accelerator pedal.
A lot of cars have a suspended acc. pedal. So it's 3/3 that are correct. Just need to change the plate (big one to a little one) like DR showed it in it's own thread.
The problem is the travel of the pedals (degrees, angle of travel are not 1:1). don't know if you understand what i try to say....
The arms of the pedals are slightly inclined and the CSP are strait.... that changes a bit.... And you would need to measure how to mount the CSP (angle) to got it the closest to the real thing.

But it's the closest you can probably get

Thanks DR:tup:👍👍👍

When i get mine i will do the same :dunce:

Thomas: If you read this, can you please do me a favor?

Could you find out the precise dimensions of the mounting holes for the wheel?
I´m planning to change the wheel to one of these in the future so if you could help, please do.

Thanks for the guide DR 👍 may look at doing this if I get round to making a cockpit, and when I actually get my wheel of course

Next week is now what I've been told, although to be honest I'll believe it when I have a wheel and pedals in my hands. 👎

Don´t know how much iof this was for me but i know alot of cars have gaspedals hanging like the brake and clutch.
I think having the gaspedal on the floor is the best and most comfy, you can see it in probably all premium cars (not GT5) and probably all supercars around the world. But as i said, it´s impossible to with the CSP´s.

Yes a standing gaspedal is for comfy reasons and more and more cars getting those. Partly due to electronic gaspedals. Most wired gaspedals are suspended

But i don't like them as much. And 3 suspended pedals are more beautiful to look at (symetrie).

It's like a clutch and 6gears in supercars = race in extinction :(
BTW nice steering wheel

As some have said, 3 suspended pedals is way more common than 2 suspended, and a floor gas pedal.

I've never been a big fan of floor mounted pedals, hence why I made the guide. I imagine others might feel the same.

The angle of the pedals is just about perfect as well, and due to the angle of the pedals themselves (angled spacers behind pedal faces), the travel feels damn near close to the real thing.

To be fair though...

My pedals have quite a different feel due to using different springs, foam, longer brake bar, etc...

When the tuning kit gets closer to release I will release a full review.

;)

Cool thanks

Tuning kit for CSP now online quick quick

the dongle for wireless is not essential??

Isn't heel-toeing weird with brake pedal hanging and accelerator floor mounted?

The wireless dongle is for the Turbo S on PC/PS3. The Turbo S can connect to the X360 wirelessly without a dongle. You do not need it if you want to use the wheel wired because the wheel has a USB port as well.

If you get the shifter clamp be sure to get the longer cable as well:
http://www.fanatec.de/webshop/new_e...id=46&osCsid=9f151e1f2581b374feb8e613e8e7d3c9

The cable that comes with the shifters is only long enough to reach from right next to the wheel.

As Fanatec are using the Porsche name, it would be nice if there was at least the option to get extra kit to remove the gas pedal from the common unit with the clutch and brake pedal and mount the gas pedal on a separate base unit (on the floor of a cockpit) and the two other pedals inverted on the standard base. That would be a nice accessory (not sure if the Fanatec Clubsport Pedals tuning kit offers this, as the pics of it on their website don't seem to open).

Afterall, the 997 has that set up and it would be nice to be able to get it right

There's nothing stopping anyone from doing that. You would have to buy a few pieces of bar, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

To be honest, though, it seems like a lot of faff for a slightly less ergonomic setup... at least as far as heel/toe is concerned.

If you want a floor mounted gas pedal, just don't invert your pedals.

I think the best and easiest solution would be to buy another set of pedals. So you have one pair inverted without the gaspedal. And one with the brake and clutch removed but normal.

Maybe not the cheapest but the best solution and easiest to do.

Thanks.
The xbox wireless is cool because it's the farest away from my rig. I already took 2 of the longer cables to be sure
I already got a part of my order (shifter, colour pedals, carbon shifters) i saw that the standard cable really is a bit too short.
just to ask to be sure : the wheel can be hardmounted without additional gear??

Like the others said it is possible. But you need to mod a lot. Maybe flexsaw the gaspedals?? as i don't have my pedals yet i can really say. But i would not recommend to do it. Heeltoe is not confortable with it.
As i said the manufactures make standing gaspedals, because its more comfy for long rides (highway, motorway, autobahn). With suspended gaspedals and 3 hours on the autobahn you get a hard leg (cramps), this is why they floored the pedals.

What setting are you using in iRacing? I just got it too (could not pass up the 3 months for $14) and the Fanatec wheels are amazing with it. It is crazy strong, I am going to have to get used to the pain :)

I use these settings in the drivers :-
900 degree rotation
0% dampening spring
drift mode 2
autocentre off

I then use FFB of
9 with Skip Barber
8 Star Mazda
6 Late Model
Wll check setting for Legends car / Solistice.

I was using a Fanatec GT3RS v1 which I used to prefer to the Turbo S but after the 669UE update I think I prefer the Turbo S now. I believe the electonica are the same in the Turbo S and GT3RSv2. The FFB is a little stronger on the Turbo S and I have to have the lower settings as above. On wheel FFb 100 Sho 100 (Lin Dea Drift - all off on wheel).

GT5P is so much better with the Turbo S after the 669 update - I really didn`t like it before - the GT3RS felt much better - now very similar although I think a touch better on the Turbo S now.

Cheers

I`m brand new here and I apologize if my question is answered already in this post. I`ve tried to shearch but with a thread of 100 pages it`s not very easy to find :scared:

I`ve just bought my Fanatec GT3 RS v2 wheel and CSP. As someone published a guide to the best specs for the sim games like GTR2, Race 07, rFactor?

Thks

Thanks DR.

Vitor has a good question there i think. Maybe it deserves it's own thread pinned down in this section, cause this questions get asked quite a lot. So everbody can submit there settings for the wheels with specific games? We have those threads for TV settings, Home cinema setups,.... why not one for wheel settings ?

Vitor: There are mods for the config of the fanatec for GTR2 and Race 07 (on site like nogrip or GTR4U)

But I want a floor-mounted gas pedal and hanging brake and clutch!:D

I like to have an exact copy of the real car's set-up.

My Exige Cup had hanging pedals,

so that's how I modded my G25 pedals

Now that I have a 997, the Fanatec pedals would be a better base to work from, but you shouldn't have to buy a whole extra set – just invert the pedal set, remove the gas pedal and mount in an optional, additional, small base supplied by Fanatec* to allow separate floor-mounting of gas pedal. Then the realism would be more complete.

* It doesn't exist AFAIK, but it would involve very little effort for them to knock something like this up - and it would be an extra product to sell 👍

I suppose you're right. However, I still don't much see the point, seeing as the inverted gas pedal provides better ergonomics, in my opinion.

Not to mention, most of us would rather Fanatec put their efforts towards continuing to improve customer service, and working on the CS Shifter/CS Handbrake.

;)

That and imagine the cost of R&D and you need to produce a certain quantity say 10000 min. Don't know if that much people are eager to get that.

But you can surly mod it with a little work. Can't be that hard, you have all the electronics needed in the CSP. "Just" need to cut the gaspedal off and refix it on the floor. And as you already mod a bit and have a nice rig you have surly the knowhow to do it

It is possible to do yourself but it probably would not look pretty and would probably take some time to do well (have to be patient). I do not think the CSPs are made to be taken apart into individual pedals so I do not know if it would be so easy for Fanatec to make a kit for hanging pedals + floor accelerator and it still would not be easy to do for the end user.
