That depends entirely on which ones you look at.I'm plainly proving that the standards don't look like garbage. They look pretty good.

They're definitely not comparable.
That dude posted this http://www.forzacentral.com/forum/a...0794803-gt5-standard-car-pics-only-hu0cjt-jpg
and said this, so I posted all of those standards. I'm not a biased "butthurt" fanboy. I'm plainly proving that the standards don't look like garbage. They look pretty good.
That's where I usually see them. I watch replays all the time. I have little problem with most of the standards. They look good to me specially during replays but some do look messed up. I'm just glad we have more cars to drive. 👍
Comments like these, we do not want.GRAN TURISMO TO THE DEATH![]()

ESPECIALLY, now that PD made it possible for us to freely CHANGE weather and time change settings.
TT3AZ, choo like?
Damn GT5 looks so realistic, My brother cracks me up when he watches me play my racing game (FM GT5) The biggest difference he says between FM and GT is with FM he knows I'm playing a game, with GT he has to give it a couple looks to realize its a game.![]()

I won't miss the F1 cars, because they just don't interest me that much in GT (I'm more interested in road-going cars and the road-based racers, with the occasional romp in a prototype), but that said, it is disappointing FM4 doesn't have time of day changes, even if only on the 'Ring. When I'm not playing online, or doing photomode stuff, the vast majority of my free running in GT5 takes place there![]()
Sounds, cars, and customization please.Thank you for showing these videos. The Nordschleife is miles ahead in GT5 than FM4. FM4's version is much flatter, less elevation changes, and of course wider. Only thing GT5 really needs to learn from Forza are the sounds. Apart from this, Forza is still behind GT5.
Oh no, I was comparing the The Green Hell. The Zonda R isn't an exotic, I have to say. Help me out guys, what is it?I don't get this, people who like F1 cars should not have them because of exotic cars?
haha It's what Shift 2 tried to do with their tracks. PS3 let's us run any track without making it seem like we're driving in a light fog. Instead, PS3 let's us race in a light fog, sometimes. PD, you did it again. Well, they KEEP doing it.Wow. Love the fog on F4's 'Ring.
/sarcasm
Sounds, cars, and customization please.
If GT5 had all this I would never stray, I might even be prompted to blow tax refund money on a T500RS, and a new giant Sony TV.
I can't say for certain yet, but I am disappointed with the way the physics appear for FM4.
This may make you grit your teeth in frustration, but I couldn't care less what you think. The only thing, and I mean the only thing that makes me want Forza 4, is the Livery Editor. I just don't think Forza has enough awesome to make me want it purely on the racing. I say this having no idea how F4 feels, so I'll grant it that. But to be honest, if GT5 had a Livery Editor, I wouldn't have bought Forza 4 until it became a Platinum Hits.Second, no one can justify the standard models, they are not comparable to forza 4
If ForZa 4 is loaded with racing personality this time, I'll be tag-teaming with GT5.
I was eager to see how much improved the tracks are in FM4, specifically NURB, but I can confidently say, "Mehh." I expected more from what Turn 10's been releasing. This may make you grit your teeth in frustration, but I couldn't care less what you think. I raced for about a half hour in the Nismo R33(?) Skyline today in GT5, trying to get the feel of the car so it wouldn't spin out with ABS disabled, and admired it through three replays. I couldn't believe it when I realized it was a Standard!
Yes, nice big 47" LED TV, sitting fairly close, and my glasses make me not blind, so don't even go there. Engine sounds, all cars looking great - with cockpits, crazy modification, backgrounds with visible detail for virtual miles, all that takes a back seat to how the game feels. And yes, I like all those Skylines.
If ForZa 4 is loaded with racing personality this time, I'll be tag-teaming with GT5 - and Battlefield 3, but that's another story. If it isn't, then it's going to be a very good race car builder for me, as long as the file system and photo sharing behaves itself.

I'm hoping that Kaz feels the need to bless us with a separate Season and Career Mode in GT6 that has a lot of PC sim flavor in it. It won't hurt the flavor of Gran Turismo at all to do this, because it'll be something alongside the old school GT and Arcade Mode. I've been asking for this for six years now, as have a bunch of other people. I think GT6 should be the game to do it, and do it right. It's a "pure" racer really. It may not have flags and penalties everywhere, but that's the problem with having appeal to the masses. Sacrifices need to be made, and like you said, "This is what people dont realize."
I'm the same way, although I'm more like 90% Standards, having a bunch of Premiums yet to buy. Good post, by the way. 👍I like that as my garage is 80% standard against 20% premium...
I'm with you on the A-Spec game, unnecessarily short in my view, and poorly planned out.People who play FM play an exotic version of GT (in my mind), using its own assets they manage to get a superb game(according to a lot of people, which doesn't includes me). What I don't understand is why I don't like it and why is it so popular. As I see it the game itself doesn't use its assets correctly, in GT series there are a bunch of races starting old cars emulating old school races, specialized racing on some area and so on, but FM have these assets and they don't build career races on them(i.e. 1980's Le Mans prototypes races and there was the Porsche 962 to fill that role properly, but such race is absent), it just specializes on a single area of cars than latter become super cars challenges and races than latter become racing challenges with racing cars to latter use prototypes, GT does the exact same thing but I still don't like FM(or at least FM3 and what I've heard about FM4).

However my greatest and perhaps most inflating gripe with the latest FM instalments is the career mode which denies altogether the concept of levelling up for harder races(and by that I don't mean that GT5's is good, because it also is dreadful), FM2 did this almost perfectly by giving you nice challenge to progress and significant gaps within levels to keep you testing the physics and the cars themselves and making you good at driving to take on harder cars, in FM3 the events became literately a check-list of different events, there are still experience levels but they are not correctly planted, endurance races are a joke(I known it doesn't have time changes, but the maximum endurance race is 2:20 hours at top, and that says a lot) and the features like endless rewinds have a significant impact on how the races are driven(its unlimited, and for me at least it should be limited to maintain the psychological pressure of racing and maintaining car control, which is one of the main reasons of why is limited on Dirt and Shift).
This. This is what people dont realize. GT5 is more of a racing game than Forza 4.
And you have access to the entire event list from FM4 do you?
Even FM3 had class specific races like Australian V8 Supercar series, DTM series, rivalry races i.e Dodge Viper vs Corvette and many many other races for specific types of cars.
Last I heard FM4 has over 300 events to chose from (up from around 200 in FM3) so I doubt you will be stuck for choice.
How can you possibly like being forced to drive cars you don't like as opposed to always being able to drive what you want, when you want?
I'll still reiterate my point in the thread earlier - why drop either game? They both excel at different things. Reviews are starting to roll in for FM4, and sure enough, they're glowing. If you have the ability, and own both systems, it'd be silly not to play both 👍
Stating you personally don't mind the Standards, or even like them? Cool. Saying they're comparable to modern-gen models? That's a pretty strong set of blinkers you'd have to be wearing.
Fredde_sweSeriously, who cares about sinleplayer events in a driving game today? The AI isn't good in any of the two games.
If you want some competition, online is the only way to go.
