I wouldn't prefer to leave this

for this

ESPECIALLY, now that PD made it possible for us to freely CHANGE weather and time change settings.

TT3AZ, choo like?

lol that is really horrible, why would anyone play Forza. Also it looks more like a fantasy location and real life. That is not how it is suppose to look. In overcast condition it should look something like this:

It's not a drug, cocaine is.
Erm... I have had paranoid, droopy eyed, snack addicted friends who confess that it is, and of course we're talking about the THC involved, just like the tars and nicotine in cigarettes, but enough of the yucky off topic.

As for Forza's version of the Green Hell, yeah, it's still off. It can't be patched without T10 knuckling down and doing it one day, and frankly I'm amazed that they haven't seized this opportunity to finally fix it once and for all. But oh well.

Another thing I find strange is why T10 have only had night racing in Forza 1, even if time transition is troublesome to code.

Awesome video, haven't seen that one yet.

But what is going on with the steering animation? The driver is hardly turning in game.

That's because GT5 like most driving games or sims with driver's hand animation, doesn't do full rotation. Neither of Simbin's GTR series sims have it (unless modded to remove the hands entirely) and nor does Forza. SHIFT2 and Live for Speed being the only two exception.

That explains it then.👍

Well, in Driver San Francisco the steering wheel/hands animation its really nice... unbelivable for a "fun" driving game, not a serious one.

Anyway, AI in the arcade mode is head and shoulders above the A-Spec counterparts.
It's not a drug, AS MUCH AS cocaine is lol

It's so great that PD's adding difficulty settings for arcade mode. That's one thing I didn't expect, even though GT5P had it.

I've been waiting very long to be able to compare FM4's version of Green Hell and I was expecting much much more. It helps me a little knowing that I won't be able to get FM4 due to lack of wheel support. Maybe if we say it enough?

Ewww, why is the GT5 cockpit so wrong? The angle is nearly the same yet you can see the rev meter and wheel are much lower then the real thing.
If you think that's wrong, don't even mention Forza.

EDIT: The only things I'm jealous about in Forza 4 are the choice of muscle cars and drag racing.

Why would I? People are a little too sensitive around here.
Nah, I'm not sensitive, and I agree the cockpit in GT5 looks a little bit different, but I thought this was one of the many 'Forza vs GT' discussions.

I can't really tell which interior I prefer.

The lighting helps me choose, I choose GT5.

I can't believe I said that. FM4 gameplay visuals really failed to meet my expectations. GT5 looks a lot more natural and not Shift 2-like. After all, didn't Turn 10 got help from the almighty Hollywood. Where things like to blow up.

"Certain cars have been rendered so specifically that players in a new Autovista mode can enter the vehicle and check out its interior. The intricacies is so precise that it looks accurate six inches from the actual surface."

Yeah, but only 25 cars! GT5 does that with over 200. It's too bad there's only the glitch there to let us "explore" the interior.

No, it doesn't...

Forza cannot even get pitstops right. Forget their lighting, car model and track authenticity issues.

Look here at 2:40.

Compare it to this.

The more i see things about forza, the more i realise the only thing going for it is sounds and sounds alone. And even that gets beat if you use a surround system with Gran Turismo

So a glitch in a demo compared to... GT's pitted cars constantly just driving straight through each other as if they're ghosts in the pits?

Mmm hmmm.

Also, I wouldn't mind the magical surround sound system that improves GT's actual sound samples. Comparing both games on the same sound system, GT just doesn't come out ahead. I can't entirely blame PD - there are a lot of cars to record. But some just sound completely off their R/L counterparts. Nevermind what happens when, for example, you toss a racing exhaust on a Z06.

Still not heeding moderator advice grammar and punctuation, I see...

However you put it, Pit stops are disappointing in Forza.

Looks more like sweet love making in that car then tire and fuel changes going on.... LOL

LOL. It's simple things like these that show the gulf in class between both Developers

Scaff

Forza 4's gameplay just looks wrong. The sense of speed, how the car behave, the track design and the lighting all looks to be behind GT5 in my opinion. Oh and I just looked around at some Forza 4 screens and quickly realized that many cars are still the same unimproved Forza 2 models. I wonder how many cars that are on par with GT5's premiums. I'd guess around 100 - 150 tops.

EDIT: Still jealous about the drag racing though...

Same for me. I'll not drop it.

And maybe I'll play a bit of FM4 too. But watching those nordschleife videos make me puke. It's that wrong? Why they didn't fixed it? :(

So people say bad stuff about GT5 and its "old" content and FM4 do the same?

It'll be a great game, I really want to try it. But drop GT5 because of it? No way.

Time will tell...

That's what outsourcing and borrowing does. Inaccurate tracks and inaccurate car models

Maybe because the position of the wheel and speedometer can be changed to your liking. Japanese people are generally smaller, so they might have lowered the steering wheel as they were sitting in the car taking pictures. The speedometer and the wheel are connected, so if they can change the position of the wheel it will change the position of the speedometer aswell.

I watched 5th Gear and Top Gear and they appear to have different positions of the wheel. I guess Tiff Needell is not as tall as Jeremy Clarkson, at least thats the impression i got, even though the camera angles have nearly the same minor difference like the GT5 vs real life one.

I'll bite: So what is the cause of the inaccurate tracks and inaccurate car models in GT5?

GT5 Premiums aren't all one quality tier either.

I don't have an Xbox but if I did I wouldn't drop GT5. I played Forza 4 at the Baltimore Grand Prix because they had a lap time competition. It wasn't a time trial though it was a race and if you think GT5 AI is bad you haven't played Forza 4. The AI spun me out on turns twice it was just dumb. Also I don't like the handling at all. The demo had a BMW M3 GT2 and it was like I was driving it on GT5 comfort tires, so I prefer GT. Better graphics, physics, and from my experience, AI.

I have to agree with viper. AI will never hit you in the back in GT.

Unless you get a puncture of course.
