Anyone play TDU2 anymore?

I don't play any more, Driver: San Fran kind of killed it for me by being similar but more fun, and the story behind the whole thing, while cliched, didn't make me want to pull my eyes out, turn them around and put them back in like TDU2's did.

After DLC2 and update, Seriously more online traffic from players, especially in Hawaii, With all the new car sounds and the revised paint shop etc, TDU2 is definitely back on the map.

Good car sounds pave the way for a good time.

Plus ive made like 8 anime itasha cars in the last few days...

I agree on how it's back on the map. I made a replica of a 555 WRC Impreza. I'm enjoying the fatboy lo, the Ducati RR, and the SL65 AMG Black Edition.

How do the cars sound after the update? Do the Ferraris still sound like mosquitoes?

Edit: Just gave the new updated TDU2 a try. The sounds have much improved, but there is still room for improvement. The force feedback, as usual with this game, is crap. Furthermore, I don't understand why the steering is limited to 180 degrees only. I would be playing it a lot more if the FFB could be improved. At the moment, I cannot feel any sort of road feedback at all. Steering wheel support really seems like an afterthought.

Perhaps this game is more enjoyable with a DS3.

Yea.. there is a glitch with wheels which surfaced after the last patch..

It seems to be only PS3, and affect Logitech wheels.

What FFB was there before has been removed now. Workaround is to go to controls and set FFB to default (far right option).

Just now, I tried out some of the newer features of TDU2. I was VERY pleased about the ability to change the place of certain cars in certain garages. Really refreshing to know I could get certain cars at certain places just with some menu options. I even noticed certain new cars in the shops that can be downloaded. For example, that Synergy Green Camaro was at the US Cars South dealer when I was fooling around in Oahu (Hawaii). So it's nice to know you can purchase cars available on PSN to download so you can buy them in TDU2. I haven't yet attempted this. I have NO DLC of any kind in my copy of TDU2.

I even tried out motorcycle riding in TDU2. I rode on that sexy Ducati Desmosedici RR just to play-test the bike riding. It was very cool. Just wished I was in Ibiza to do the riding because I think bike riding would be more fun in Ibiza than in Oahu (Hawaii).

I am basically playing TDU2 to mostly set up a blog post. Just thinking about all that can be changed so that if there's a TDU3, what HAS to change for the next TDU to be better by leaps and bounds over TDU2.

Not sure which update it is, but I think there is now a Version 1.07 version of TDU2 for the PS3. I've been looking around and noticed some new car dealers and seeing a new clothing shop (Brand Name). As far as car dealers are concerned, there are now these newer cars you can get from the PlayStation Store, but there are also other places. Like I noticed this Ferrari West dealer when I was scoping around Oahu (Hawaii).

I have never downloaded ANY DLC. However, I seem to be tempted to buy me a Ducati Desmosedici RR and rip up Ibiza (a motorcycle isn't really fun for me around Hawaii).

Agreed.

I've never played the first TDU, but I think it could use a couple more updates before this surpasses what TDU1 was. And judging from the amount of time between the faulty launch and this update, Eden looks to be sending things in the right direction. I'm looking forward to the future for this game.

TDU1 on PC was amazing hardcore mode at Oahu raceway was hours of fun :D.

TDU2 was a disapointment out of the box on the Ps3 but I have been meaning to find time to update it but due to my GT5 series I have never found the time to. With a summer break in my series I'm updating it overnight and eagerly wait to play it again tomorrow :).

I just finished downloading patches 1-6. Took just over an hour. Using a PS3 with a G27. I had finished Ibiza, and had Hawaii half done.
So now - it's a whole new game? I'll be playing soon to find out.

Edit: Okay, who drained the power-steering fluid. First thing I noticed was that my steering was shot, so a bit of a fiddle till I got it to feel like a car again. Was tooling around in a GT-R; noticed improved sound, though the grip seems to have disappeared; feels like I am riding on steel studs.
More later.. . .

Yes I still play TDU2..

TDU1 was super fun for the old PS2, hours of fun. Loved that Racing Mustang Concept.

There is still room for improvements as far as TDU2 can go.

But after the newest update I really liked how they fixed the off-road feature. Now when the AI cars force me off the road I don't go from 190-50 in 2 seconds...

I'm glad I took the time to hook up my PS3 to download all the patches - and also get the exploration pack - the bikes are awesome - loving it!
I'm back to playing the game now, albeit offline, but the DLC Missions are great, and
as for the latest cars in here --- wooooo -----I'm in an altogether different car heaven.
Also got to explore the yacht - as well, I think the physics are vastly improved. Maybe it's only me - but the real 'feel' of driving hits quite often (until the unreal crashes, of course.)
However if it got any more 'realer', then we'd be wiped-out with the first crash - so the convenience of invulnerability goes hand in hand with the unlimited supply of fuel, and futuristic tires that never wear out. Makes for endless hours of grin-faced, high speed cruising. And when one can FRIM to 1500 in a matter of minutes - then you know you can pilot something at high speed though obstacles, if not actually drive a car through traffic or a spacecraft though the Asteroid Belt.
Also - compared to Version 1.0 - I think the cops have got a lot more smarter. And faster.

Despite what many people I know say, TDU2 is a great game. I actually go back to it once in awhile, not as much as I used to, but it's still fun to cruise about.

I still haven't collected all the cars yet, or own one single yacht. The Casino DLC is something I've been thinking of getting so I can earn money quicker, or so I've heard.

Maybe you need to lose two wheels:

I've recently bought it. It is indeed a very good game, within reason. They got some things so right, so prefect, then screwed up so hard on other things. I have never, ever, seen worse voice acting in any other video game. Ever. Ever, ever. It is atrocious. Other than that and the equally atrocious story line, the game is great.

Played today just tired of the rammers. Mostly I just like to paint and drive. But the rammers trash your car. Should be an option so they can't to do that. Great game nice job on the scenery. Rammers seem to be moving into the PC game now too. PC players had more respect for fellow gamers. PS3 TDU2 is not enjoyable to play now. Oh well i've wasted money in worse places.

Welcome to GTP! Ok just pause the game. It works every single time

At that time I was really looking forward to this game but it was crap. Multiplayer wasn't working properly, no clubs like they promised. I am not sorry there won't be any more TDU from Atari.

Damn. Shouldn't have read this. Now I want to log off GTPlanet and go cruise at lightspeed.

Forget real world physics. Just master the 'game physics'. It's a blast when you get it right.
