Anyone play TDU2 anymore?

I was exploring more of Oahu (Hawaii) last night. Just when you think you've traveled every road, there are several roads and onramps you've missed. I am now at about 80% complete of every road in every area of Hawaii. Someone said I should try to concentrate on Hawaii Area 4 just to be able to modify Bugattis and such. However, I am somewhat concentrating mostly on Areas 2 and 4 of Hawaii. I am concentrated on Hawaii Area 2 primarily to get the Shelby Cobra Daytona (one wreck left for me). I eventually want to find all the wrecks in Hawaii Area 4 to get the AC Cobra (one or two wrecks left for me).

The Enzo is capable of around 217-220mph, but your point about many cars being capable of only 204mph still stands.

I know on my RS6 it's limited to 155MPH even after engine stage 1.. I mean wtf? I cant even use my 7th gear because of this

Latest update from me is that I am almost done with exploring all the roads in TDU2. Here are my stats as of this post: 100% complete with Hawaii Area 1 roads, 99% with Hawaii Area 2 roads, 99% complete with Hawaii Area 3 roads, and 98% complete with Hawaii Area 4 roads. The next Wrecks I find in Ibiza Area 1, Hawaii Area 1, Hawaii Area 2, and Hawaii Area 4 will be the final ones I will find for each area.

I was curious about an island I found while looking around Hawaii. Since I was so used to the TDU1 for the PlayStation 2, this "Eden Island" is in TDU2. It is an island that looks like a race track on its own island with a yacht around it. If you want to go by area, it is in Hawaii Area 4 around the easternmost part of Southeastern Oahu. If that island can be driven on, I'd surely love to drive around that island!

Nothing new on the car front. Since I've bought enough cars to get that "One of Each" trophy, I can now somewhat consider selling some of my cars to possibly score a faster auto than my McLaren MP4-12C. I had the urge to exchange my Tropical House in Hawaii (Area 4) for the Loophole Haven of Peace. BEAUTIFUL house! I sure want to get a 4-star house once I clear one of the Hawaii cups. There are some lovely ones in Hawaii (and I think Hawaii has the only 4-star houses among Ibiza and Hawaii in TDU2).

I think you could get to Eden Island on TDU 1, but there was a glitch in TDU 2 that allowed drive over the water to the island and drive on it but it was patched, look it up on YouTube

TDU2 would be perfect to me if the handling wasn't so sensitive and it provided more grip.
Also the voice acting gets a little annoying after a while.

I was able to FINALLY get the Shelby Cobra Daytona! That Cobra Daytona is very quick for a Classic-class car. Not even my Ferrari 308 gets up to speed quite like the Cobra Daytona. Also (with a little Internet help), I was able to get hints as to where the remaining Hawaii photo locations were. So I'm done with Hawaii for Photos. The final one was a tough one for me to find- Observatory Under a Full Moon. It made more sense when I found what appeared to be an observatory in one area, all to find out there is another observatory perched atop a hill. The key is to always seek for any hidden roads. You may never know that a certain road not listed on a map can lead to a Wreck or a Photo location. I was paid handsomely for my work. Now all that remains are all the Ibiza photo locations. I have about five or six I haven't snapped pictures of yet in Ibiza.

Three wrecks down, three to go!

The D-Type is fantastic fun. Had a lot of fun finding the hidden circuits and having classic races with friends.

You know, I'm starting to be real disappointed that most of the fastest cars that top out at 204 mph. I did some test drives in TDU2 of a number of cars. The only car that isn't a Veyron or the CCXR that goes north of 204 without fail was the A1-class Pagani Zonda cars. My runs have taken the Zondas to a top speed of 208 mph. Now you can upgrade speed and everything for cars that can be upgraded, but it's sad many of the fastest cars (including some A2-class cars) top out at 204 mph. I actually wanted to trade some of my cars for a Pagani Zonda F to be my new flagship car. The Zondas, however, are tougher to drive than the MP4-12C I have presently.

Speaking of the Veyron, I did some test drives to see what's the big difference between the 16.4 and the Grand Sport. Someone is seriously going to disagree with me, but I didn't notice anything real different between the two except that the Grand Sport is all a one-color deal compared to the two-tone 16.4 Veyron. Both cars get up to 266 mph in this game. I think the Grand Sport got up to 266 mph more efficiently than the 16.4 Veyron from my test runs. I recommend doing test runs with faster cars around Oahu (Hawaii) rather than in Ibiza, unless you're testing for handling. The Koenigsegg CCXR still has somewhat better control than the Veyrons, although the CCXR is tougher than the MP4-12C to drive.

Last night was the first time I had EVER invited someone to any of my houses. This was a nice bloke whom I encountered. He first invited me to his Hawaii yacht with a bunch of high-end A1 and A2 cars. His current car at the time was a dark blue Ferrari 458 Italia. We had a little voice chat and everything. He was a cool guy! Couldn't tell where he was from, though. The flag icon was green, so I was either thinking Brazil or Saudi Arabia. But still, I invited him to my Loophole Haven of Peace house and shown him some of my cars.

The final note I want to make is that the Shelby Cobra Daytona is a great-sounding car that's a handful to drive! This bad boy gets up to 191 mph. That's WAY faster than my Ferrari 308 GTS (as far as C-Class are concerned). I might upgrade my Jaguar D-Type and try it out in the C3 High Championship in Hawaii.

Word of advice to new TDU2 gamers... when you make your way into the A5 championship, win the Ibiza Cup. (That car you win), even untuned, is the only car you really need when doing the A5 races. I won the A5 and A5 High championships easily. My tuned Jaguar D-Type lacked top speed and acceleration, but I did just enough to win the C3 High championship. One key factor was changing the driving settings to Full Assist. The big problem with racing any vintage car is that they are fragile to try to handle properly. So you have to be real careful handling these cars.

I saved up enough money to finally get a four-star house in southwestern Hawaii Area 2. I'm trying to clear that "Subprime Crisis?" trophy. So now, all I have left is to get a five-star house, meaning I'll need one of the two yachts. And no worries- I'm trying to get the one in Ibiza because it's cheaper ($5M compared to Hawaii's #7M yacht). I REALLY want to get one of those beautiful four-star homes in Hawaii, like the Mineral House.

Finally, I had an interesting Instant Challenge against one driver in Audi R8 convertible. My car was the McLaren MP4-12C. That R8 is quick! I was fortunate enough to beat the R8 in our heads-up showdown. He declined my Co-Driving request but accepted my Instant Challenge. And so I won.

Just scored 30 million in two hours or so by doing the Ibiza Cup money glitch. Should tide me over until I possibly take it up to 100 million when I reach the Hawaii Cups.

Ready for the motorbikes now, Eden! Casino time!

I won the A4 Championship using an Aston Martin DB9 Coupe. It wasn't easy, though. The Aston Martin is a bit tough to handle. Never in a racing game have I struggled racing an Aston Martin. I still managed to win every race.

My finances has given me the opportunity to purchase a new car. And that car is... the Ford GT. This A2-class car is currently the fastest car I have. The Ford GT in this game tops out at 218 mph. All I would need to do is upgrade the car's acceleration, and I may use that car more than I do my McLaren MP4-12C. Not even the A2-class Pagani could do north of 204 mph. I was actually torn between getting the Audi R8 or the Ford GT. I may eventually get the Audi R8 since I have just enough to get it. I am also considering getting the Ferrari 458 Italia or the Ferrari 599 GTO. Since I can't paint them up, I have to find a Ferrari I can be proud of owning in a certain color. I usually prefer red Ferraris as I do silver Mercedes-Benzes. But of course, blue is my color. Only other considerable car for me is the Ruf RTurbo.

I think when I win the Hawaii Area 1 Cup, I might use that money to get me either a Veyron or a CCXR. Hawaii Area 2 cup winnings will probably be spent on the yacht in Ibiza.

[UPDATE] I HAD a Ford GT... until I traded it for the Ruf RTurbo. Despite having a better acceleration figure than the Ford GT, it's also more fun to drive than the Ford GT. Mine is silver with a black interior (I was torn between red and blue). Same top speed as the Ford GT, but much more fun.

What's this glitch?

Had a good deal of fun last night while also learning something. But before that, here's another idiot I want to talk about...

One guy invited me to a race in Hawaii. I came in with my Ruf RTurbo going up against this guy's Mercedes-Benz SLR duel car. Every time I have tried to pass him or hold him off, dude punted me off the road so bad that I would lose by at least seven. I accepted THREE of his races. I lost the first one by a good distance. I then lost the second one by a long distance. So in my third challenge, I brought my McLaren; he was smart- brought a Pagani. And guess what? Punted again. Lost again. So I not only reported him, but I declined any of his other races. Who the hell accepts a race against someone who'll punt you off the road (intentionally or semi-intentionally) just to try to win?

Now the fun begins! I intercepted a voice chat session with a bunch of guys while in Hawaii. I learned of a tip to increase my F.R.I.M. money. I heard it called the "Golf Trick." It's where you go into this golf course and just drive around randomly. For the first-ever time, I had learned and seen my FRIM get maxed out. In fact, I did so about four times last night. It was good enough to finally get that "Hard-Earned Money" trophy. I randomly hung out with these guys, and I earned their respect. One of them even said something like, "this dude (me) is cool. If I could give him a million dollars to get him a Bugatti, I'd do it." The club they were a part of is a Level 2 club. Considering I was somewhat becoming a free agent, I could jump from my current team to join this other one.

Finally, I learned of some glitches with the yacht. It was myself and five others who were invited to the Hawaii yacht. People were talking about some of the glitches when you fool around the yacht. Once I finally learned of some of the different glitches when you walk around the yacht, I noted the glitches and where I could actually end up. I was actually foolish enough to go into one area... and I fell off the yacht and started falling endlessly! I basically had to leave the yacht and then join the friends at the yacht.

Fun with friends. Fun with meeting new friends. THAT is what gaming should be about!

I've just gotten this after being told its a better play than on release, So far I'm enjoying it, just wish I could listen to my own music, as after 5-6 hours play yesterday, I'm getting tired of the in game radio. Anyone recommend a mature UK based club that does cruising?

I've gotten this on playstation 3.

Oh, I don't listen to music (in the game) at all. I usually connect a cord from my stereo to my PC's Line In to hear the game on my PC. And sometimes (especially when in Ibiza), I usually listen to my PC music or Internet radio.

Here is another flaw of TDU2... some of my cars that I upgraded don't have their upgrades saved. Sometimes, I go to Ibiza to fully upgrade my cars because I haven't yet unlocked the Level 4 upgrades in Hawaii. I am not sure if my cars don't have the upgrade settings saved, if I'm doing something that may prevent my cars from staying upgraded, or what. I have a Lotus Evora and my Mercedes-Benz ML63, both were upgraded, and neither has their levels saved. I upgraded my ML63 last night to do the frustrating B3 Time event in Hawaii Area 1 Cup. It's f:censored:ed up in any racing game where all of your upgrades for a car, when they're supposed to be saved, are gone. If and when the PS3 updates for TDU2 are available, I hope this and a lot of other issues will be resolved.

I am currently focusing on the Hawaii Area 1 cup. I'm struggling with trying to remain fast and making as few mistakes as possible doing the B3 Time event. This struggle has been the same struggle that I faced in the B4 Time event of the Ibiza Area 1 Cup. After winning the A4 High championship, I had enough money to exchange my lovely 4-Star mansion in Hawaii Area 2 with the beautiful 4-Star mansion "Falls House" in Hawaii Area 4. I still wish you can do much more at home in TDU2 than just walk around and check out your cars.

I won the Hawaii Area 1 Cup! I finally figured out how to clear that B3 Time event. A big part of passing that one was on making up your losing margin in the second half (as you enter the only asphalt portion of the course. I ended up building up my winnings to $3,000,000. So the first place I ended up after that? The Spyker/Koenigsegg/Bugatti dealer in Hawaii. And it's official- I will no longer be the b:censored: of Veyrons because I got me...

...a Koenigsegg CCXR!

This car is about as close to a race car as you can get in TDU2. Both the Koenigsegg and either Veyron get up to 266 mph in this game. The Bugattis are more beastly in getting up to its top speed. Trust me- I was unsure whether to get the CCXR or the Veyron Grand Sport. I wanted to get the Bugatti so that I could also lay claim to having a coveted Bugatti Veyron. I even did some test drives to be absolutely sure what my high-end supercar would be. In the end, I eventually got me the Koenigsegg. And also, I just wanted to be different. Who wants to be a "me too" kind of person a game like Test Drive Unlimited 2? "Oh, I have a Veyron." "Oh, me too!" You know?

I'm now trying to raise enough money to eventually get the Grand Sport Veyron. I'm about a million dollars light of the $1.9M car.

[UPDATE] Here's a dark secret. I joined something I like to call... the Bugatti Brigade. So yeah- I have BOTH the CCXR and the Veyron. My Veyron is the 16.4 base model. I painted it in a two-tone red. Because of its devilish acceleration and speed, I have officially called my Veyron as the "Red Devil." I prefer my CCXR, but am glad to have both the CCXR and a Veyron.

Two quick things to chat about...

I accidentally whacked some guy, and in a voice chat, he said something more along the lines of "some douchebag/douche bag just hit me. I was in my CCXR as he bet $50K against me. I respected him because while he rammed me afterwards, he challenged me to a straight up race. I won nicely against his Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione convertible/roadster. I needed that win because I was on a losing streak in Instant Challenges, and I HATE having a losing streak in anything.

Also, I had finally gotten around to getting the Audi R8. I had it in that Sepang Blue with the gray sideblade. I have since replaced it with a candy blue color. I also placed lots of little gold stars across many points of the car. Anyone who sees my online content know that I am heavily influenced by nighttime. So therefore, I had to make my Audi R8 a celestial masterpiece.

I wish TDU2 was better-designed to take and share photos because I'd love to show you my cars and other things. A lot of the voice chats I've been in have been about the lag in getting the latest updates to the PS3 version of TDU2. Perhaps out of conspiracy theory, I was in this voice chat where talk of the slow process in the downloadable pack for TDU2 for the PS3, when for the first time since moving over my PS3... the game froze. Ain't that some s:censored:?

Sorry to keep posting here... just sharing stuff.

I won the A2 Championship earlier today. I had just enough Competition experience to get Deluxe F.R.I.M. Regular FRIM caps at $4.5K; Deluxe FRIM caps at $10K. The money I had was enough to get a stilt house in Hawaii Area 2 around the other airport. I then tried to build up my money to get myself another car. That latest car to my garage is... a Pagani Zonda F. Initially, I had intended to make that my new flagship car, but I still love my McLaren MP4-12C that I decided to just get the Zonda F without needing to exchange. The Zonda F is my top car that isn't the CCXR or Veyron. The Zonda F is a great-handling car. It doesn't have the great acceleration of my McLaren, but its handling is incredible. It feels as much like a race car as my CCXR. The only modifications I've done to my Zonda F was paint it in a crimson bi-color scheme with gold graphics.

Oh, and I used my Ruf RTurbo to win the A2 Championship. The only problem with it is that despite the fact it has 4WD, it can be a bit unstable at times when faced with switchbacks or corners that just suddenly come up. This car is otherwise one of the fastest among the A2 cars with a top speed of 218 mph stock. I actually admit that I am starting to like the A2 class because it's so deep with good cars to choose from.

Thanks to YouTube, I was able to find all the wrecks I was missing. I have used these videos as a checklist for certain locations. I almost feel guilty because I needed only one wreck to find in all the locations I was unable to find that final wreck for those areas. But when you've found just about all the roads but not all the wrecks and photo locations, you feel like you haven't FULLY explored certain locations. Like you haven't mastered the given areas. You have to know not only the roads, but some of the off-road areas adjacent to given roads. It's really frustrating often times. I have all the wreck cars now.

The next thing I'm trying to do is find all four remaining Ibiza pictures I'm missing. Just want to know from you all... using YouTube to find remaining wrecks after you've exhausted all of your efforts trying to find all the wrecks: should I feel guilty for using YouTube to find these wrecks, or should I feel happy that I was able to find all the wrecks at long last considering the difficulty in trying to find one wrecked vehicle in these massive areas?

I have only 1 wreck to find and am thinking youtube but want to just hold off for a bit.:boggled:

Enjoying your posts JohnBM01 i got this game about a month ago and its nice to see how others are doing. 👍👍

Also enjoy your posts JohnBM01, and I have just got my second wreck car, now have got the Beetle and the offroad buggy :)

I enjoy driving the RR Sport but it does seem slow compared with the real-life one and I only have the TDV8 not the supercharged one that is in the game (real life one also has an 8 speed gearbox).

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I do what I can to try to keep threads moving. Going to get another house or two to expand upon my collection in TDU2. Still also unsure whether or not to ditch my current club to join another, or just to stay with my club (unless dismissed). I'm not worried about clubs much anyhow at this point.

I have finally completed my Photo collection in TDU2! I found the ones I was looking for in Ibiza and was able to clear both of the ones I had left. The money I had was enough to get me another house. It was nothing special- just got a two-car house in Hawaii Area 2 within distance of the British Cars (West) dealer in Hawaii. I'm still trying to enhance my Hawaii Area 1 discovery just to finally be able to use the European Tuner's Level 4 upgrades. The most recent car I've bought was the Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series. I got it in Silver. I just wanted a lovely car to just cruise in rather than have something seriously powerful all the time. I actually wanted to get that Ferrari Dino car just to add to my collection, but I didn't have enough money at the time. So I'm just building up money to eventually add to my collection.

So I went from finding all six Wrecks to completing the Photographer missions. I think I basically want to try to complete the Championships and the remaining Cup so I can finally get that yacht in Ibiza. I am also leaning more towards ditching my current club to find a fairly good Hawaii club. Just not really ready to leave my current one despite the fact we're not really doing much of anything ("we" meaning the current club I'm in).

A final note I want to make is that the game has started quicker all of a sudden recently. After the driving disclaimer, it usually would tak about a minute or two after that driving disclaimer to load the game. Now after the driving disclaimer, it goes right into the Atari and Eden Games logos. Maybe something's been sorted out perhaps? Still enjoying my TDU2 experience for the most part. It is VERY far from being totally amazing (if for a few tweaks to really make this game stand out), but I still enjoy playing this game and experiencing all the different nuances of this title.

JohnBM01, I was reading a few of your posts and I'm surprised to have learned that the House invites actually work now... lol... I'm on PS3 as well and I'm wondering if all the server issues have been addressed yet?

I'm pretty sure they are resolved for the most part. The process in finally patching TDU2 for the PS3, though, is disappointing. When I was voice chatting with someone recently, I mentioned that Eden Games has been pretty poor with TDU2. I remembered that it was Melbourne House (who helped in making the classic "Le Mans 24 Hours" game) who did TDU1. I mentioned to someone that I wouldn't be surprised if a third team was behind a TDU sequel if we were to get a Test Drive Unlimited 3.

I just wanted to post this here since I picked up the game yesterday for a whole 20 dollars including some code for a caterham. Anyways working on the championships in Ibiza currently doing the A7 High I think. I own 2 houses the caravan and the 1st four car garage available I think. I own a Lotus Esprit, Range Rover, Alfa Romeo Mito or something like that and a WRX STI.

I had a good laugh at how I found one wreck by more or less rolling into it while driving around and got a little to agressive with the STI smacked a bus and ended up rolling into it
