Set down the Fuel Mix to 2 or 3. To safe some Fuel... you can make that, if you follow an other car for a while. You got his Slipstream and can go with 2-3 his Pace.
My M4 needs minimum 1,5 full Rounds at Fuel 2 to get the Full Race without Pit.
Mazda is pretty good. I only needed two laps of mix 2 for half the lap each and short shifting was enough. Most the race was just normal driving mix 1

Good to have some GT Planet company on track. Congrats on the podium

I couldn't see the contact even on the replay zoomed right in but alas, I will trust in the system and assume it was there. At least one of us had a good run anyway.
I’ve just quickly remoted into my PS5 now and watched it back. Yeah your right I don’t actually think you touched the car infront. Was onboard with the car infront and they never even made any corrections to the wheel. Very harshly done there I think.

Really struggling at Fuji. The wrx feels so slow and understeery

Edit; oh damn, I was running on inters haha
Haha I had same issue in warm up. Couldn’t understand why the car had no grip.

Sorry. I meant fuel map mix 2. If you go through the MFD using the DPad you’ll see a green fuel map option. It goes from 1-6. Default is 1 which will give the most power but using the most fuel and pressing up or down will change it, 6 being the most economical with a big loss of power. Mix 2 will be all you’ll need in this race with the Mazda.
The fuel map will also show your fuel percentage and how many laps left with current usage uonto that point in the race.
Race C this week being 10 laps makes it easy to work out as aiming for 10% a lap will get you home. I say infield to mean the sections between the straights. You want to try to keep it in mix 1 for straights. Just remember to short shift when you can and you’ll save a lot anyway.
Hope that all made sense.
Thank you sir! Will try it out tomorrow.

It may have been clear of contact on your console but not theirs. You can get done by netcode depending on another's connection.

My race was another frustrating one thanks to the uncompetitive Gr4 car. But I like Fuji so may that would make up for it.
Qualified P14 in the end. Got a decent start and made a few positions thanks to errors by others. On lap 2 a VW which had served a penalty lap 1 murders me at Dunlop. Almost last and seconds off. I manage to catch up and get past some of the slower drivers in the lobby. After their umpteenth penalty the VW quits. I end up 12th in the end, but it could have been more if not for being unceremoniously spun.

I went into today's race with zero expectations as I have a strong dislike for this track. I just wanted to get the race done and write this race off as one of the bad ones. I almost didn't want to enter as I dislike this track, but you never know what will happen.

I enter the 19:00 slot and manage to qualify P20, a half second behind P19. Not off to a good start, but whatever, I'm just here to gain experience ultimately. The race starts and I gain a few spots up to P16. I make an accidental dive-bomb on lap 8 as the 2 drivers I was tailing were on the brakes way earlier than I anticipated going in to turn 1. Thankfully I only took my self out and fell to P18. Despite my spin and two off track penalties, I did have some good battles in the back of the field and that lands me in P14 somehow.

I found it interesting all of the different lines people were taking. It looked like a dirt race with all the entry and exit angles people were taking in the corners. I'm shocked there wasn't much contact with drivers all over the place. Hopefully, we can all survive turn 1 Monza next race and get some good points.

So, after missing the last two rounds of the manufacturers, I entered today the first slot in Fuji (looks like I got in a lower lobby).
Did some practice before, and was able to do around 1.48.xxx (my best was 1.48.1xx).
Qualified on pole (1.49.0xx) and was able to create a gap after something going on behind me on the first corner, but the car felt so weird during all the race, sliding a lot, and I never got close to my pace of the practice session or the qualifying. I did one lap in the 1.49.xxx and all the others were 1.50.xxx or 1.51.xxx. Ended up in second somehow. Just 61 points, but did not want to try another time.
I'm with Peugeot, btw.

Manufacturers race at Fuji, total last min decision to race, not even enough time to do a practice lap...

Decent qualifying run for P4 behind a meta Mazda another Subaru and a Viper. So not a bad start, knowing that the Subaru isn't great in a straight line this could be an interesting race.

Lap 1 and Subaru and the Viper have a real ding ding battle through the first lap while I get close I don't stick my nose in...till the long straight where I get the slipstream and get the viper under brakes and get alongside the other Subaru out of T1, two wide through T2 and the inside for the Sweeper sees me get 2nd. Meta Mazda has gone out front and won't see him for a while.

Get about 8 laps in just edging a gap on the Viper, (first few times he could get a slipstream but thanks to 4wd I always had a better run) and then I make my first error T2 taking too much out of the curb and picking up a 0.5 penalty, usually it's not bad but Fuji straightaway punishes you more. So we get to the penalty zone and I shift into way too low of a gear and punish myself more erasing a 3s lead down to a .7. Then I start to build up that gap until lap 14 AND I DO IT AGAIN!!!! This time he's closer and gets me on the straight while I psyche myself up to make a pass later in the lap...we both brake too late into T1 him defending and me following him in...chop down the gears buzzing the limiter, get it around and hammer it squeaking by them as we exit the corner. Knowing I had to put together a fast last sector to negate his straight line advantage put a bit of pressure on as well but I kept it clean and kept him behind on the way to the flag.

So 2 manufacturers races 2 2nd places...makes up for the disaster of the last Nations cup round

Had a real crack at Fuji yesterday... gt2 league. Entered free practice 1hr 30mins of free practice really learning the track. I learned that the 2 most crucial corners are the first and the last so worked on perfecting those.

I qualified 6th which was expected, worked my way up to 3rd and had a bit better race pace than the others. Lap 3 12 to go, guy in front STIV absolute legend. Just had me on overall lap pace, however 1st and last corner I was faster than him. So stuck behind him for 6 or so laps getting closer and closer.

I knew the only way to get past him was to dive into that first hairpin, decided I wasn't going to do that and risk wrecking both our races so stuck it out and kept the pressure on late braking into most corners, that's when STIV made a slip-up and i snuck past 3 laps to go he reeled me back ut had enough to hold the line. Very happy with 2nd.

Poor qualifying as the car had no grip, the Alfa is a pig and BOP, yeah right, not even close. Could only muster a 1:56 while the leaders were doing 1:46’s. The Alfa only had 295hp and the field was blowing its doors off everywhere. This is just garbage imo. I can’t wait for actual racing where you can make adjustments to the car just like IRL :)

I can’t bring myself to spinning up the GT4 Alfa. I’m not strong at Fuji, I’ll have no power down the straight and no grip in the final sector.

Pass.

GTWS Manufacturers Cup Test Seasons 2 - Round 6
McLaren GR. 3 - Fuji
GT1 League - A+/S room

Slot 1
- Got home just in time for slot 1!! Lobby opened and it was top split. BAH. So much for any points. I just don't have the pace yet for those guys. Regardless, didn't expect a world finalist to force me off track in qualifying. After appropriate retaliation, I settled in and put in my Ok lap time and started in p15. Shortly after the race started I picked up a few free spots, lost 3 spots, then had 30 minutes of sweating and managed a couple overtakes> When it ended, I finished one spot up in P14. Only 170 points though. Boooo.

Slot 5 - Figured the aliens went back to their part of the galaxy, so gave it another try after cutting up some video. I'm glad I did. I got to race with a few familiar faces including @GTWolverine Had a good qualifying after locking onto another McLaren. Started in 11th and had a great race with all the folks around me. Good solid clean racing. NO exciting overtakes, but almost got around the BMW in p10 after hanging onto his bumper for quite a few laps, but he managed to hold me off. Finish p11. Only 201 points, but a fun race.

Breaking news: The Gr4 Lambo is still a car that merely exists. Only did one race and I ended up being chased by a golden car from the very start. Fun but challenging.

Fuji was a frustrating experience…

Slot 1: Qualified 8 and got up to P5 on Lap 1. Got rearended in the schicane on Lap 2 and continued from last position. Finished 11th.
Slot 2: Had 1/3 DR B and A Drivers with SRs of B to D (Lobby ist DF/SR: C/S in general). Those are good enough in ramming that you always loose more time recovering than the are loosing to penalties. Qualified P5. Finished the complete carnage in P14.
Slot 3: See slot 2 … Q: P10 R: P15
Slot 4: — (drank a beer. far better fun than those races)
Slot 5: Only C/S in the lobby. botched the qualifying with P10. finished P8. Could be worse…

Thats a day that seriously dampens my enthusiasm to engage at any kind of Championship In GT7.

Again I was put into a A lobby as a B driver. Started 4th and was 2nd for the whole race, almost caught first place on the line. Overall was a great race with him. 0.02 difference View attachment 1136958
Lul, I was in 3rd ^^
Was a great race, thanks for the slipstream on every straight for a few laps 😂
Unfortunately I cutted a corner too much and got a penalty. From that on I had a fight with the V8 Vantage. Last lap was intense with a great undercut at the second last corner (he turned in on me 😁). A little bit of weaving on the finish line and P3 was secure. After watching the replay I realised, that he used TC1, which slowed him too much, otherwise he would have been 3rd.
The Genesis is just soooooo f..... slow. I barely managed 230kp/h on the straight and you guys even increased your lead, even though I was right behind in the slipstream... 😡 Out of the corners and in the corner sections at the end the Genesis was a little bit faster, but not enough tbh.

Fuji was better than expected. I did around 40 laps before the race. Nailed a pace with 1:48,5 up to 1:49,0 constantly. Felt slow, but was exactly the right pace for my lobby. Entered in the first slot, qualifying was dificult. in the first fast lap, first and second sector very weak, but nearly a perfect last one. The next laps good in the first part, but lost much time in the last one. Last fast lap, being an idiot in the first sector and being 0,3 seconds of the time I managed to receive a better better and gained half a second in the last one, but don‘t know how I did it.

So the race is a short story. Started P5 in M4, P6 another M4 and P4 a Nissan GT-R. After few laps big gap to the guy behind and always 1 second behind the Nissan. After ten laps he made a mistake, I overtake him and now I am 1 second in lead. Same pace, last lap he began pushing and surprised me in last turn. Side by side to the finish line, I missshift my M4 and lost by 0,030, my bad. Boring race with 134 points. Best result this season.

I had no pace at Fuji, always around the back of the pack in my races.
Either me or the Supra with an awful performance...

For some reason it felt like I had a lot more grip and pace in slipstream, even in corners

Yes we had a really great battle for a few laps. Once I was in front I couldn’t shake you off until you got that penalty. I only managed to increase my gap on the straights

GTWS Test Season 2 - Manufacturers Cup - Round 6
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final GR. 4 - Fuji International
GT2 League - B/S Lobby

I like Fuji, usually go pretty good here, Qualified 9th with a 1:49:7 just a tenth off my practice times, so quite happy with that.

Unfortunately got over confident, passed a couple of cars early on, who made mistakes, then get a penalty for cutting a corner & with the penalty zone on the long home straight, I drop back a couple of places, back into 9th.

Picked up more spots from cars with penalty's & battling, and the Evo is really fast in a straight line & we start catching the guys in front.

Lap 6 & we're in P6 chasing down the 2 in front, I go for a move at T1 for 5th, but brake a tad too late, can't hold the line & slide out into the guy in 4th, 3 second penalty & deservedly so, terrible driving I feel embarrassed about it (So sorry to Jon59jo if your see this).

The penalty is served on the straight & were back to P8, half the race gone but I know I'm fast here, time to settle down & drive consistent laps.

The remainder of the race goes smoothly managed to catch a battling group in front at the end of lap 9, then have a great battle with a German guy (eiLupoDX15) in his Genesis fighting for 5th place.

Thankfully the Frenchman Jon95jo, who I'd try to murder earlier, was now safe in P4, so we race to the finish.

The Evo is faster on the straights than the Genesis, but he's good on the twisty bits, we finally get him at the end of lap 12 and manage to hold on for a P5.

Overall happy with P5 & 92 points, but embarrassed about that attempted over take at T1, I can drive better here, but pushed too hard on this occasion.

Cheers see you for the next one

Baggio :)

FUJI; my first race in GT7.

I had decided to start the game from scratch so got in the GT3 league, in an all E lobby. I was curious to see if there were others like me starting again. Would i get good competion or was it the chance for a somewhat hollow victory?

I signed for Chevrolet and the Corvette is not the best car for this track. The last sector is especially difficult, getting that vehicle through the corners.

After qualifying I knew that there were others that were not E level, i qualified 6th, had i done the same time in practice I would have been fourth only. Behind me was a bit of a gap though but i had at least five that were equal or better then me, based on that qualifying.

start went okay, one car tried to Bottas everybody but thankfully he ghosted in time and went straight through us. (real F1 should implement that ghosting in my opinion, would have prevented all that mayhem in Hungary! 😁 )

at the end of the lap I was battling for third with a rather wild driver in a Lambo and a spanish fellow in a yellow GTR. the fight with the GTR was clean but after a few laps he suddenly rear-ended me and i went off. I got back behind the pair but both had 4 second penaltys so assume that the Lambo hit the GTR and because of that he had contact with me. so as they served their penalties i got back in third.

the rest of the race i battled with the Lambo as the GTR felt back. I do not know if the Lambo was a bit aggresive or lagging a lot, or perhaps both, but it was not a very relaxing fight. on the straight and the first sector i pulled ahead every lap but in the final sector i lost all time gained. He was rather ambitious sometimes with his overtaking attempts but in the end his final attempt was a good one and i had to chase him for several laps but could not find an oppertunity.

Ended in fourth position.

coming months i think i will not be able to do a lot of races due to a new job, and will be training all summer for that....but will at least practice when i have the time and perhaps enter a race or two.

Pass.
Well I mistakenly chose it for the manuf championship and I can’t wait until it’s over.

First race as a C driver. Was in a mostly S lobby with a few B and I think an A safety rating. Pole was in a league of his own and walked to a grand slam. I qualified fourth and spent most the beginning of the race battling with second through fifth. Eventually second pulled away but this dude was extremely dirty and I spent a lot of time battling him (he somehow has an S SR). I eventually passed him in sector three but he tried butted me off which got him four seconds of penalty. With him ahead he then Verstappened me on the finish line straight and I went into the grass into sixth place. I was able to quickly get back into fifth place and within two laps I was within striking distance of fourth. Got fourth in two laps and then had three laps to get third back. I was 1.3 out after the end of the finish straight on last lap. Was right on the tail after the chicane and got a better exit on the finish straight. Luckily the WRX was just able to beat out whatever I was going against across the line to nab a podium. I'll upload the replay when I learn how.

The race at high speed ring was a miserable experience. I was the only D driver in a room full of Cs. The only S SR in a room full of anything ranging from D to B. Qualified 5th but spinout later in the race as I'm both terrible in the wet and at banked turns. Tried to make my way back up the field but passing in that lobby was just impossible and if you made contact with the wall after getting shunted you'd get a penalty. Finished second to last.

Anyone run any race sims for Monza? I’ve tried no stop on hards and 1 stop on mediums, not much between them. Might try a soft 1/3 race and medium 2/3 to see the difference

I tested a 1 stop on softs which seemed like a good option. Maybe I am not going fast enough since softs seemed ok until about lap 9. I am however captaining the "boat" aka BMW M6 so it could be easier on tyres with its snappy oversteer.

How about fuel? Possible with 0x stops or should I try to save fuel?

I tried the M6, but it was a hard one especially in Parabolica - and some other turns, so no way for consistancy. Lost to much time. So my next option was the Z4 as BMW has some alternatives. I am able to drive 1:50,X through the whole race on the hard compound.
Don't know whether it is fast enough for a low A lobby. I see later. Good luck everyone.

Tried Monza. All I can say is that BoP is an absolute joke. The Vantage loses around half a second on the main straight alone. WRX 1 and 2, no competition.

This needs to be priority 1 for PD. There’s zero incentive to drive when you know you’re handicapped from the start.
