Some good races this season. Looking forward to gr2 on suzuka, gr4 on brands and gr3 on spa. Need to get some tunned gr4.
That Gr4 non BoP race is the one I’m not looking forward too. Never done any tuning on the game so going to be interesting how I fair on this.

Anyone with some quick tips on the best place to start? Will watch some YT videos but a good starting point would be greatful

I’ll just use something from praiano 😂

Professionally tuned hahah

Just a heads-up: The loan car for Subaru in Gr.3 is still the WRX Gr.3.

Three Manu races in three days. Let's see:

  • Friday evening: Daughter's high school away soccer/football match in a town one hour from me
  • Saturday: Picking up a car at a dealership three and a half hours from me.
  • Sunday evening: Picking up my niece at an airport two hours from me.
I'm going to miss the entire "season" LOL.

Try ps5 remote play 😂

There'll be tunes up on here and youtube if you need or just have a crack at it, worst you can finish is last and you could do that anyway with a spin or a crash.

Nothing new there been last. Refusing to race with the meta car has hurt my dr rating. Dropped a league with 1 race.

Really hoping this is the last test season before things go back to the regular Wednesday and Saturday schedules we had in GT Sport.

Finding time to get some practice in and adequately prepare for races when there's a string of them on consecutive weekdays just doesn't mesh well with a full time job. At least this time they're being centred around the weekend which definitely helps.

I think it might be fair to say Polyphony have backed themselves right up into a corner due to the PP system being so broken when it comes to gear ratios. I've decided to give Aston Martin a go for this short season and was just doing some laps of Brands Hatch with some tuning tweaks here and there to get a feel for things.

I thought I'd have a look at the top 10 since they're several seconds faster than I am to see if I can pick up any tricks. There's currently a Vantage in there so I figured I should look at the replay. It spends the entire lap in 5th/6th gear regardless of speed and then I notice the car has 542BHP and is still 1350kg, so it has a high-end torque supercharger installed and isn't using any ballast. The stock Vantage has 399BHP and starts off above the event's 630PP limit on Hards as it is...

If this is where the game's going... :yuck:

The idea of tuning affecting PP is silly and goes against every normal idea of tuning your car, and is always going to cause weird issues with intentionally "bad" settings. Suggested fix: PP always uses the default tune for whatever parts you have on (suspension, gearbox, differential). Everything after that is up to you but doesn't touch PP at all.

No issues on the April 29,30 and May 1 races for me. Two races at 8.00pm and one at 6.00pm.

There is a Formula one grand prix that I have to watch so the May 6,7 and 8 races I can only do the 6.00pm race if I do not get called

This is really disheartening. May give it a pass unless PD does something to solve it. Just turn BoP on if you can’t solve it by then.

I did a test race and it’s a lot of fun. A bit silly to have a mandatory pit when you don’t need to change tyres nor refuel. This is the perfect track for gr4. The track inclination makes it a challenge for gr4 suspension and speed. If only people didn’t cheat.

Did a handful of test runs in advance of the Nations cup at Dragon Trail, figured the results would be appreciated here.

These are just the best laptimes I ran out of a set of 3-5 laps (depending on how many times I died at the chicane of death)

WRX optimal time was a 01:35.2 - but I was too tired to pull it off and kept dying instead.

Nice. Yeah I think I choose Nissan for upcoming test season. I like GT-R gr3 more than in GTS (tried it at Sardegna A and Red Bull Ring), and gr4 GT-R is at least easy to drive 🤔

I can't be the only one seeing a whole alternate race in the first timeslot for both Nations and Manufacturers, right?

EDIT: Somehow I didn't notice they were just round 2. Still weird though.

Have you got a screenshot?

The last Manufacturers Season is quite long gone now. Why do i still have my Mazdas in the Garage?

You have to sign for a new manufacturer for the next season before those cars get replaced

And if i dont sign because i dont take part? Will the cars stay?

Here are my settings for the Dodge in the Manufacturers race.

The Viper for whatever reason isn't as glitchy with manipulating the pp system, but I still managed to have it about 38 pp lower than it should be. Changing almost any suspension setting one click either way except front ride height will make the pp go up, so I think it is as optimized as it can be. I tried with highest front end settings and the gain in top speed didn't make up for the loss in handling. High end rpm supercharger is slightly faster but most likely low end will be better for the race in order to short shift and save gas.
