Still not allowed. Why they've opted to tie that into tuning settings...Quick question...can you still not use brake balance in BoP races?

Happened in Sport all the time as the rule is in the same place, a menu away, and most probably aren't even aware there's new stuff thereWord of warning, make sure you pit. 1 minute penalty of you don’t.
I was running P4 all race. P1 had checked out, and made his stop.
P2 & P3 I didnt have enough pace to overtake. Anyway P2 & P3 didn’t pit (along with more than half the grid) I finished P2. I’ll that cheeky P2 thank you 😀😀
35 points to start off with.
Oh, interesting. If so, that's new, and someone was listening to all those arguments haha. I'm just about to start the 7pm slot so will keep an eye out. There was a pop up on the screen before the start of the race saying 1 stop is needed
That and everyone wants to try the new BRZ GR3 car.I'm guessing they must be very strong under the BoP settings right now to produce a grid that's almost 50% Subaru.
Have to say I’ve jumped into races and not looked at the rules to only then ask the chat. Was aware of the pit stop as I actually read the race rules now they made a sub menu on the update.Happened in Sport all the time as the rule is in the same place, a menu away, and most probably aren't even aware there's new stuff there
It was a heated debate at times, should it be front and center, is it 'hidden away' to try to catch people out etc. I do think a pop-up in race would be fair, similar to the fuel warning. You have 1 lap left to make a mandatory stop - for example flashing up on the screen.
I have to agree @Mercia about the possible addition of rain to the Brands Hatch layouts. Even though I knew that it wasn't an option, I was half expecting rain during the race.
Speaking of the race. The fact this was a tuning race made for a massive spread in the lap times between those that did their homework and those that didn't. Not that I'm complaining as it meant I picked up my first Pole and Race Win in Sport Mode for GT7.
Have to give a shout out to @Mistah_MCA for the gear ratios which allowed me to get the Subaru back under the 630PP requirements. It also made the world of difference to the lap speed. I was over a second a lap quicker than anyone else all day long.
People were exploiting the transmission settings that allow to run 500+ hp. It's doable on all cars but seems to favor some. There's no way I run 7 seconds slower (I'm usually a second off of top ten) with standard tuning, an hour of playing with gear setting got me 5 seconds away.the top 10 were faster than gr.3 cars....Hoping the next 2 races are better. Running lambo is rough, WRX's will blow past the Lambo. It's crazy how unbalanced it is.
You would be just done for the night. You will miss this round but you can still race in the next round. What if you miss entry time and it's the last in your region? Are you totally out or can still enter next round? Apologies if this was answered prior.
Thank you!You would be just done for the night. You will miss this round but you can still race in the next round.
Sounds like it could be a cracking race and I think I’m going to miss the race too. Not sure if they is tyre and fuel wear but if they is and a mix of weather I could spice thing up.I predict this season’s PP round will be the last time we see it in Manu seasons for GT7. I think PD thought they had fixed PP because a very particular problem with rotational G was addressed, but they failed to recognize that their calculation method remains fundamentally flawed.
Looking ahead to Spa tonight, practice is a mix of wet, drying and dry conditions. I’m actually really looking forward to the strategic aspect of this combo. It’s essentially impossible to drive on slicks if the grip meter hits the top third, but there is a very big difference in speed between tyre compounds and a looooong pit stop. Could be a cracker of a race.
