Same here. I was at Gamestop for the midnite release of Metal Gear Solid 4. And of course, I had to install it, play it a bit, and get a nap in before work. The next day was miserable, but I didn't care.

Exactly what i did but on GAME store (i slept 3 hours before work)! Right after GT, my favourite game is MGS 4 (played all 4)! My GT5 is pre ordered since December 2008 !

Well just answering honestly -

1) Not working, not sure I can re-apply for Unemployment, means...

2) I need to purchase a PS3, no job no PS3

3) I need to purchase the game to play it, no job, no GT5

So until I solve problem (1) with either a decent job or getting UI/Returning to school, I will not know. I hope and its actually a good thing for it not to go on sale until Nov.

But basically - YES I will buy it, I could care less why other people don't, weather its sound, damage, car selection or some other foolish reason.

Guys the amount of effort put in this game ... I say every PS3 owner got to be forced to buy this REAL TRUE NEXT GEN DEFINITIVE DRIVING SIMULATION GAME aka GT5.

I wanna ask one thing ... what antialiasing is GT5 using. Reason Im asking is cuz recently utilized anti-aliasing technique MLAA resulted in jaggy free game GOD OF WAR 3 .... and next GG fps game KILLZONE 3 is also utilizing this technique.

Cuz if u compare demo release of God of War 3 it was using 2xMSAA ... and within extremely short time from demo to final release ... "MLAA antialiasing tech bestowed by Sony themselves" Santa Monica developers were able to implement in God of War 3 final build ... and the difference was that of earth and sky.

The number of polygons & detail level put into GT5 cars and tracks are something that needs to be jotted down in history of gaming as well Guiness ... and the only reason you can tell these cars from real world is because of jaggyness caused resulting of some form of antialiasing that is not MLAA.

I was hopin if someone can convey this msg to PD .. if they are able to implement MLAA antialiasing tech in GT5 as they have time till Nov 2010.

I didn't get it at midnight... But what I did do, is play it for 13 hours straight when I put the game in. But that's including cutscenes. Then I decided to do this.

Something tells me, I'll be playing GT5 a little longer than that...

I've bought two PS3s for this game alone. Goes without saying that I'll buy the CE version as well as the regular version just to ensure I have something to play on 2 Nov. I can always sell one of them to a friend (PS3 and the game). No need to be greedy after I get my game!
