This isn't a "Reboot Team" track. This is the best-looking version available, but it's poorly optimized for AC, if it's optimized at all.

I hope for and anticipate a version from The Reboot Team. I know they'd do an awesome job, and it will be properly optimized. Their recent release of Macau is an excellent example of what they can do, and it has features that are similar to Long Beach.

That is from Terra 21 who was, I think, part of an old reboot team. This is not from the current Reboot team bringing us all these new tracks today. The one you linked is very poorly optimized.

like you said quality is very good but its poorly optimized..
 
ive seen a few of the tracks you worked on now and they are good quality.

This is actually a beta from GTR2.
That's why there are not many track side objects and the buildings are black & white.
I kept a few object from a very old rFactor version as place holders, but the whole terrain is new.
 
My AC truly has a life of its own. Yesterday the gears HUD was fine, sitting at the bottom right corner.
Boot the game today and to my surprise it moved to the top left corner... It's ***** huge and I can't move it.
No prompt, nothing - little pin doesn't even appear. So... What gives ? Is it possible to 'reboot' it ? Cause now it just loos so weird.

Amaroo for rF (seems pretty straight forward to convert)
issues:
1. There are no supports for advert billboards, they just float in the air (can be lowered to hide that fact)
2. Huge terrain gaps for infield would be hidden by trackwalls in cockpit view, but may reveal themselves from a high trackside cam.
3. Model needs to be split by materials because there is no "road mesh" as is.

IMO, Version 3.5 (the second link) is the best we have available for AC. Of course there may be something else I haven't seen yet. I need to take the Superkart around it for a few laps--a good gauge of the quality of the road mesh.

Hi all,

Is there a version of Sebring with more than 30 pits ? Trying to create historical grids with the low grid counts is forcing me to cull the herd drastically, and it's hard to decide who doesn't get to show up :)

Edit: Just found a 61 pit versoin on RD of all places. Stupid me never looked there... duh.

In light of the many updated tracks we have had in this thread recently, some iconic tracks, some not so much, still all the work and efforts very much appreciated, even if the track is fictional and/or obscure.
Ascari, , folder name ascariraceresort, is in a dire need of improvement's, here is to hoping one of the talented track enhancer present in this thread will take the time to restore it a better state.
 
I haven't tried the track yet so I'm just throwing ideas out, but did you pit at all? The start/finish line might not have been stretched across the pit lane. That is sometimes overlooked in mod tracks.

No, didn't pit, only a short 15 lap sprint, so nobody pitted. Half way through the next lap my crew chief says, "that's 22nd" and I'm, what????
 
I have a small question. I have many Porsche 962c car skins downloaded from RD, and they're great, but they all use the default white Sparco gloves and suit.
How can I change this in each 962c skin, to whatever glove/suit texture file I need? I assume I need to create a skin.ini for each, but where do I direct it to show the required skin files?

Yes, you need to put a skin.ini file in each skin folder. Then edit the skin.ini file. The GLOVES first reference the style in the content/texture/driver_gloves folder, then next reference is the color within the style folder. Same format for SUIT and HELMET.

I'm confused...Has anyone experienced anything like this before in AC?
Just ran a 15 lap race at Goiania, was up to 5th place, when the game missed counting my lap, put me back
to 22nd.

I think the timing objects may be close to the track. Is it possible you were pushed onto the grass or something like that at some point on your missing lap? You may have went around a timing node and invalidated that lap.

I'm going to check the replay this evening, perhaps that's what happened. First time I've run into that.

Best for me, simply because its uses the Kunos Base Ferrari 488 GT3 and all skins for the car works on the GTE aswell and its balanced to other GTE Mods. And all skins from 2021 WEC Season were made for the car.

Do any of you have any older WRC cars?

I mean for example, the Skoda Octavia WRC. I've looked everywhere. Sadly I'm unable to find anything. I've given up searching for older WRC cars as most of the mods seem private or unreleased.
