Hi there!

Since you are improving cars & helping the community, back in February 2025, @petercrill released a Mini 2021 John Cooper Works GP (in this forum), with really bad & bouncy suspension hence undrivable. The car model is good & it would be a waste to throw it away. Can you maybe have a look at it in the future? Thanks!!

Hello. I did not download it back then, but I found it now and will have a look if I can do anything to make it less bouncy and more predictable. If I'm successful I will release fixes here.

Two examples of another completed route of the "Mille Miglie 1955"....this time Pescara (using the version by Italotracks).

In one of them, driving the Mercedes 300 SLR (Juan Manuel Fangio) with new "small adjustments" to the physics (after the loss that occurred at the beginning of the year) with almost the entire MM '55 package (which had started last year).

The other is a version adapted for the Ferrari 118/121 LM, driven by the Italian Piero Taruffi.

I hope to share the package here on the forum in the next few days (...whatever is possible), not all the cars will be available. In total, there would be (31 cars, including originals and adapted ones) with more than 105 skins (what I could find in photos and models on the internet according to the 1955 race) and many of them (with colors that "may" have been used...)

Some cars have versions (with or without a co-driver), as you can see.If you watch other videos, you can see this better.

I personally find his stuff to be not well converted and physics need to be redone. Which is a shame in the case of WTCC because the S2000 was one of my favourites and AC's AI is well suited to touring cars.

Also a bugbear of mine is that nobody has converted the original SEAT Leon, everyone has the TDI model and then puts the petrol model skins on it.

But as 24H says, nobody has done an alternative

Yeah, it's a shame but the templates are provided. RSS, VRC and URD have to avoid real skins (and names) on their pay mods for copyright reasons on commercial products, but since SMP's cars are free there would be no such restrictions. Hopefully the community will step up and create some.

The very first thing I did when I got the cars yesterday was to apply a cheat-code satin metallic shader to some cockpit details that looked really flatly shaded. It makes a world of difference in VR.

Yes there is, it's called Race07. The original game. It'll still be superior than whatever version we have for AC bc of its physics, the game modes, tracks, whatever. Can't beat that, especially coming from GTSubpar.

Yes, of course the original game is there (and still installed on my system), but I meant an alternative for AC

Terrible converts, Using the wrong LOD for exterior and interior models. Physics are made up by an paraplegic blind goat and are terrible. Better off re-using the physics from the Kunos GT86 to have accurate suspension travel & braking.

It's hard to put into words just how terrible their stuff is.

Well, i, for one, would rather have GTSupreme cars as grid fillers than have nothing at all.

Instead of helping/improving/making your own version of the car, people would rather bash on all creators/modding teams they don't think made a good job and point out all their mistakes, telling people not to use them. (remember that this is a game)

No wonder why so many creators/groups give up on making mods for this game.

Here is a season built around ASR 1993 car package.

TV graphics. correct calendar with Shi's 1992 tracks (plus Donington rain race)... and fuel mod (which forces the cars to pit). Absolutely no other changes.

All download links in the video description.

I still use CSP older version (0.2.6-preview1) and SOL for perfect function. It works with the newest CSP too but as you know new versions won't support SOL rain.

THE VIDEO STILL SHOWS "McLaren Honda" for Senna/Andretti/Hakkinen which I just forgot to change from the 1992 version. Correct engine manufacturer was of course FORD, which is now fixed in the downloadable leaderboard

Link to 1992/1993 leaderboard and instructions how to activate it (video) also in the video description.

All drivers have correct numbers, faces and engine manufacturers in the info card.

Player is set to control Senna. Adjust this to your liking. If you change user control, place Senna to the AI grid, I'd say 98 works excellent as his rating. This season was completely dominated by Prost in active suspension Williams FW15C, with Senna, Schumacher and Hill taking single wins.

Andretti 91 (maybe being generous here as his season was a disaster but he had a top car)

For both, I just had to adjust some nomenclature.
1 - AM DB2 by ACLM50
2 - AM DB2 by MG421982

IMPORTANT: driver3d model used is "driver_pudding"

He deserves to be bashed when you see that he hid some R07 ports (the Sunred and Apollo) behind his Patreon. And don't start me on his Group C port. What a mess.

Also if your idea of making mods for AC is bringing dumbed down versions of cars from another game really you should just quit lol

He deserves any and all bashing. Dude's "content" just isn't any good. Even for grid fillers. Maybe back in 2017 but in the year of 2020+? No. you are simply better of going and playing Race 07 if you want do do an full WTCC season.
Top it off there is not a single good mod for the early 2000's WTCC cars. So... what exactly are being used in better quality? That warrants downloading poorly ported models from 2007 to be useful for grid fillers?

Interesting. It is acceptable to publicly praise good mods so others can be confident of downloading or purchasing them. But it is not acceptable to publicly criticize bad mods so others are warned of downloading or purchasing them.
