The lods are the worst i have seen ever. Only less triangles applied and the same objects. Awful performance in the race. Why do you always choose the easy way and not the best way to do the things? Quality >>>> Quantity.

I run with 32 cars without any problem,
and for the performance of the lod it is more the number of triangle in less which plays on the performance and not the number of objects.
apparently you seem to know how to do better, send me your LOD

Your assessment is wrong, i guess you never tested many lods, but i did it.

An example with 24 cars:

Car 1, with 1,3 millions of triangles and 4,3k the objects in total, it has a bad performance.
Car 2, with 10,4 millions of triangles and 1,3k the objects in total, it has a good performance.

And of course, i know make lods, its very easy, but in this case, the car is awful, i deleted it because the interior is so ugly, but no problem, tell me a good car without lods and i could make it.

Thanks for this release. Do you think the other layouts will be released in time or is it finished?

Finished. It's just F1. For now anyway.

Thank you for the release.

One other question. What setting in AC makes the road markings become visible from further away. My settings make them come into view right in front of the car. It is very apparent in this release due to the dark pavement.

Just an optional skin for the new Paul Ricard track, thanks again to marc and blackcelica, this skin modify only the vegetation.

[RacingManiac]

Thank you, at least someone is working on it, hopefully we get it this year.

Ditto, really looking forward to it. Having been there just as a passenger visiting CA during a track day there the 5 mile layout is amazing...

Hi all,

Here's a quick and dirty pair of DRS Zones for Paul Ricard 2021 by Marc_13000

https://www.mediafire.com/file/lzcjxa12jfi0pw6/paul_ricard_2021_-_DRS_zones.rar/file

Note: The back straight DRS zone signs are not in the correct place. According to what I watched this morning that zone starts right at the end of the kerbing. I have it starting at the end of the strip in line with the P Zero sign which is just about where it should be.

I have no starting lights (digital flags seem to work) and no track lights either. Still to come or not planned ?

[CdnTDog]

if anybody/somebody/nobody or yourself and @GzeroD are looking for a worthwhile historical track it would have to be the Spa '93 with the extra chicane/bustop thingo and the T1 from hell.. One of my goto tracks now for GT1 (and other older cars) in AMS2. There is an '88 version on RD, but its so bad it makes dogs howl and angels cry when you load it up...

Anyone know if there is a good source for this version in another game?

(AMS2 version)

It funny as I just did that search a couple days ago after watching Ja

Hi all!
Suddenly, I began to have errors like this:

AC\cameraforwardyebis.cpp (1261): CameraForwardYebis::renderApplyEffect
AC\cameraforwardyebis.cpp (1182): CameraForwardYebis::render
AC\sim.cpp (2564): Sim::renderScene
AC\game.cpp (275): Game::render
AC\game.cpp (275): Game::render
AC\game.cpp (275): Game::render
AC\game.cpp (126): Game:nIdle
AC\game.cpp (210): Game::run
AC\acs.cpp (477): wWinMain
f:\dd\vctools\crt\crtw32\dllstuff\crtexe.c (618): __tmainCRTStartup

Any ideas what's broke?

Forgive me but.. are these vrc's newsest lmp1 additions?

[r3b3ld3]

guys, I think I'm going to cry, how beautiful it looks, I did not imagine it could be like this.

I really want to see it finished, but that is still a long way away, there are many things missing, and I don't think I will put so much detail in the rest of the circuit, but this area of the river and the castle had to be like that.

I am in triple screen with almost all video settings at maximum with a small gtx 1660 super and with 32 cars I have no performance problem on this one

At what resolution and frame rate?

[TheRealCeeBee]

3dsimed gurus... I have issues bring objects back to game via Blender as it throws away some fbx.ini settings, -BUT- , 3dsimed cannot "split geometry by loose parts", so for tracks where geometry is grouped as grass inside the track and bits and pieces of the same grass outside the track, and then perhaps even parts of far terrain its impossible to split the meshes (as far as i can tell).

Anybody found a way to do this in 3dsimed? (its not split by texture, they all use the same texture)

example i only want to delete the far right piece of geometry, but its grouped with two other pieces, if i use "explode all" i get a trillion triangle faces, impossible to work with..

i can second this and im on 1440p

Thanks for this Blackcelica. I'm going to swim against the current and admit that, aside from the fact it has ridiculously large runoff areas and is owned by Bernie Ecclestone (😕), I don't mind the circuit at all. Not somewhere I drive regularly, but when I do, I can still enjoy it.

I think it´s easier to copy the shader settings manually in the persistence file than using 3dsimed for whatever it is you´re trying to do

As far as I know in 3dsimed you can't ungroup objects if they are grouped (I think) that to do that you have to export as an object with all the grouped elements and then delete the textures you don't want.

Then you should mount those textures again as an object and there you can use the elements individually.

erghhh.. thats not going to happen, faster to just fix in kseditorat and get it done properly. Wish the developer would build this as a plugin for actual cad programs instead of its standalone version, his development cycle would be shorter and we could use real cad to do stuff like this.

the issue is created when a group of people are working on something, and some can only work in 3dsimed, the fixes when they are major break all their manual labour in 3dsim and reset the clock to zero for them, significantly slowing down development of a track.
