yep, these are the proper driver names. The cars look like they are reasonably high quality too.

I can't drift very well in AC but I follow it in real life so I'll try these out and probably just end up using them for photos 🤣

Nice find
Just tried them, really nice models, nice touches (watch the drivers head movements!) like the moving key rings tags.
Feel good, but i can't drift in AC at all.
But i may be forced to practise with these.
Great sounds also in the ones i tried so far.
Someone put a lot of time into these for sure so I guess LINK ECU's paid for them.

1999 Chrysler Viper GTS-R - Paul Belmondo Racing #54 #55

Enjoy, hope you like it

UPDATE: replaced all the decals to remove sharp edges and get better looking. Sorry for taking too long updating this.

  • Visual (PBR, lighting, models) fixed and improved by Jerry Wei (see details @ car description)
  • Tire models physics overhauled
  • Badge @ interior are separated.
  • Adjustment shader @ Cockpit_LR
  • Digital Instrument Fix
  • Internal shader effects
  • Body colors effects
Thanks VRDriving, Jerry Wei, @El Locho, @Masscot, @Peugeot905, GADU, and people who help me.

for more information, can be found readme.pdf at extras folder.
the link at post before was updated.
please delete the old car in order prevention to bugs and crashes.
First off, thank you for the car, finally a "normal" NSX. Question: Can I make the lcd display (int_badge08) darker through ext_config? It's grey/blue and the meters on the side are so bright the become blurry. I use Pure 1.0someting.

first at all, I don't know which "blurry" you mean, I'm working fine, tested in every weather script.
but, you can edit int_badge08 material via [SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...] in ext_config.ini

Sweet, I'll try em out if I can be bothered to plug my wheel and pedals in.
You sound like me when I try drifting lol. I really want to be able to drift but I just can't seem to learn the finer throttle control and just end up planting my right foot and making lots of smoke while making massive donuts. It's fun but it's not what I'd call drifting 🤣

Speaking of nice touches and animations, have you tried any of the Deathless mods from Racedepartment? The Porsche Panamera includes a driver that does weird things (i'll let you figure that one out if you grab the mod) Deathless only works on Kunos cars so defo worth checking out DEATHLESS MODS on RD

Testing at Silverstone with the VRC and RSS, there is not a lot in it really time wise with a bit of setup tweaks on medium compounds I get.

VRC 1:29.789
RSS Extended Physics 1:29.824
RSS 1:29.472
RSS S1 Extended Physics 1:30:012

Very similar to drive, the RSS cars have more front end, it's very easy to take Copse flat out for instance with minimal setup with both sets of physics, the VRC is trickier. The RSS car seem to have more traction than the VRC car.

The S1 variant is the more interesting of the two versions to drive and more comparable to the VRC version.

Not much in it really if someone said they were just different chassis of the same mod I would believe them.
I still prefer the VRC, the RSS seems easier to drive, more forgiving, but performancewise seems again too slow, unless there are things in setups that I don't know

With VRC car at Silverstone I did 1.27.897 with the RSS I can't do less than 1.30.xxx

Verstappen did in free practice 1.27.xxx

I prefer the VRC too so far, I can do low 28's with my setup and it feels much more like I would a imagine a 2022 car to drive, the RSS mod drives very nice but a touch too easy for my liking.

The Indycar mods from both these modding teams are the same, I prefer the VRC because it's a bit more on edge than the RSS mod.

Still great to have both these teams making cars for us. I will continue to support as many as I can.

Interesting! I've not heard anything about this. It definitely exists? Sounds like vaporware.
Puzzled why it's not on DDM's YouTube.
This was quite a rabbit hole

i think we are mixing up the name. It seems to be DMM, which i think was involved with the japanese version of AC.

Take a look at this, not sure just how true it is he'd never drifted before, but I'll guess he'd never drifted a car like that, not many have.
Brilliant video regardless, just worth it for his face, and how brilliant the guy who normally drifts that car is.
The 8 minute mark is where you see him shine.

Enjoy.

hi,

my specs:
cpu: Ryzen-9 5950x
gpu: nVidia RTX 3070 ( iChill X3 RGB )
ram: 32gb ddr4 3600 ( Kingston Hyper-X Fury : 2x 16gb Kit )
vr: Quest 2 (w usb3 link cable)

Try compare your stats when running a Kunos car instead (with all other parameters the same , settings/map/number of ai etc. ), and you will see the difference.
Think it's good to always compare with the Kunos cars as benchmark... anything you go above that and you know your mod is "heavier", more taxing on the system.
Have my settings so that visuals are maximum for me, and i use the full potential, but still able to run fluent (keep 72fps and not have that red frametime line spike in the render stats graph- the 2 go hand in hand it seems).

I then only have issues with a handfull of car mods (so majority of none-Kunos mods run fine as well).
Don't want to lower my settings just to run these few particular odd mod that are more demanding because then 95% if the time I will not be enjoying the full potential of my system :)

Another good indicator for you : the Ferrari 330 P4 Spyder (v1.2) runs just fine with exact same config/track/nr opponents.
(pitty it has no side mirrors though! although maybe there-in lies the issue? if you could add the mirrors on the spyder I could test for you ;) )
I tried also turning VR lock on, makes no difference for the performance, nor for the 45 degree angle issue.

here a comparison shot w the Spyder:

Hey jac0,

just an ot question: why don't you use compact interface with transparent background with BLM Fps app?
It's a way less intrusive interface

F175 Steering Wheel for the Ferrari Spec (rss_formula_hybrid_2022)

The W13 Steering Wheel add-on is made for the rss_formula_hybrid_2022_s, but I though it was pretty clear since the other one is based on the F175. It doesn't make any sense to put the Mercedes steering wheel into a Ferrari chassis, but for people with weird taste it just take to change the kn5 name inside the ext_config.ini.

I think the ease of driving is due to the tyre grip, I watched on youtube a guy hotlapping on Silverstone with this new rss doing 1.26.low and I can't get below 1.30 unless he is cheating I feel this RSS car again too slow, I read of an ex Formula 3 driver claiming that the VRC car was really close in terms of simulation of a F1 car and comparing the two I must say that the VRC feels great despite the preference for a more grippy feeling which the RSS has, but as I said I dont feel the RSS has the right power, and I'm not a setup magician, I set the ers deployment to Attack which I think is the configuration for hotlapping, also it is a bit understeering at least with regular set-up, I can't steer full gas at the copse like I do with the VRC and right setup

I know PICK UP SPEED (If it's the guy you do mean) and he's not cheating. He's very tryhard in hotlapping and get it through practice and more practice.

That's a good video and shows how some sim racers/drifters may well have the skills to transfer to real life driving. The pro drifter in that video is Piotr Więcek btw who is possibly one of the greatest drifters out there. (well in European drifting anyway.)
I made a skin of his and James Deane's S15s a while back (shameless plug but they're on RD if you want to check em out lol)
Anyway, I'd recommend having a look at Drift Masters if you want to see some decent European drifting. Although Formula Drift is also really good for seeing different cars from the usual bimmers and Nissans.

RB18 Steering Wheel for RSS FH22 (rss_formula_hybrid_2022_s)

Important: I fixed the DRS lights for this one. I'll do the same with the other ones later. I'm not a fan of the LEDS details of every steering wheel, so they're all genericals and following the original ones.

Installation as others, works like the others.
