Rain looks so good, still drives so bad. Such a shame it's been left in limbo - especially for Rally.
Rain looks so good on the windshield and in photos, but looks horrendous in replays.
Anyway this seems to pop up on a cycle, I don't really want to add anything to it other than AC EVO seems to my eyes to be failing, as a GT7 knock off its not even close, as a racing sim, not even close.
I think Ian Bell again will make hay with his new sim as it promises proper mature motorsport.
AC evo is made looking at what they think people want to do, like driving in free roam, Forza Horizon children stuff.
As much as it pains me and as much as Project whatever its called will just still be Shift 2 rolled in glitter, I've seen 'sim racing' get destroyed by the popularity of AC and what people want to have modded in...

I mean just because someone modem in a roller coaster and loads of people wet themselves with joy about it, doesn't mean people really want to see roller coaters in an apparent 'sim'.
Anyway i'll step away from this topic as until the great leader Masscot chimes in no one knows what their opinion is yet...

I really enjoy doing fastlanes for AC, so does anyone currently need a fastlane for a wip modtrack or does anyone have a track with bad AI that they want to be fixed? PM me and I will make it. I am always looking for a track to do.
Here’s a challenge:

For the Montreal track from the ASR/Shin 1992 track pack, the ai are tedious through and out of the hairpins and chicanes because they ride the kerbs too much.

Those raised style kerbs were always meant to be avoided.

If you can make the ai legit fast here, but also clean, you’d be doing elite work.👌

Hello, I recently had a slight left-right swing phenomenon in my FFB, only with RSS and VRC GTs. Only GTs!! Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Aston, among others. Everything else is ok, and also all other mods. .This happened with the new CSP, so it's not a problem with my base. Does anyone have any ideas where to look?

Simulating real road driving is not children's stuff. I'd choose driving fast on roads over a track any day.
Forza Horizon IMO is childrens stuff and AC EVO is leaning towards that. Everyone can use AC how they want to as its modding is huge.
But AC EVO is trying to capture that in a game but its impossible so they just went with free roam and racing road cars on tracks. Forza H mixed with GT7 but not close to either (as of yet).

Ian Bell will rock up with a bunch of promises and sell shed loads of just a simple does what it says racing sim...
Because there is, and always will be a core bunch who want to actually sim race, they aren't loud, they aren't making videos of them driving around in a tank or shopping trolley and listening to music on the working car stereo, or racing through bad looking AI traffic in some cardboard looking Japanese city.... but they are there... but seem to be ignored..... in steps Ian Bell selling us back Shift 2 again...

Have you tried switching FFB post-processing modes?

in content manager go to settings/controls/force feedback and turn ABS effects to zero. This is something that is conflicting with the new ABS implementation.

He also posted this about it yesterday

However, this may inadvertently impact the original Force Feedback (FFB) settings.

If the ABS effect is enabled, you might experience steering oscillation, causing the wheel to shake left and right. This is easy to resolve:

— Go to Settings - Assetto Corsa - Controls - Force Feedback and set ABS effect to 0%.

Alternatively, you can try the new FFB scripting. While we still recommend turning off the ABS effect, you can experiment with the new Alternate FFB, which provides a more modern, game-like feel:

— Go to Settings - Custom Shader Patch - FFB Tweaks - Additional post processing script and select Alternate FFB.

We are currently exploring potential fixes for the ABS effect issue and might address it in a future hotfix.

Never trust a word coming out of Ian Bell(end)'s mouth, and if you do... Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice Bell is the GOAT innit. Don't you remember the PC1 debacle ? PC2 riddled with (still unsolved bugs) ? That game is still the space cadet of the sim world lmao.

And don't get me started on Shift / Shift 2.
Wherever he goes and whatever he does eventually stuff falls apart but somehow it is never his fault. Although if it smells like **** everywhere you go...

Oh Loro's Juniors just have been updated with a new entry called Coventry. Any more infos on the OG car?

Clearly not as i said he will sell us back Shift 2 again..... I'm no Ian Bell fan, but i will eagerly wait this new game like i do any new sim game. Modding has ruined AC for me as all i do is mod stuff, can't remember the last time i actually raced properly and not just been testing.
Long ago stopped subbing to iRacing, rarely touch any of the other sims i have. Too much to do in AC, too much to get side tracked into.
I am older now, sometimes i wish i was just getting into PC gaming all those years ago, can't believe after all this time its this old game that takes my game time up...

Honestly if AC gets ruined by too much modding, the best way to get around that I think is to limit the car count and keep content you know works well, and just create a bunch of championships with them and run those.

It's what I've been doing recently.

The fix is currently: Go to Settings - Assetto Corsa - Controls - Force Feedback and set ABS effect to 0%.

EDIT: I see this was already posted in comments I had not yet seen. Oh well. Just trying to be helpful!

CSP v0.2.9p1: HDR not detected & Sim3D brake pedal shakes with only light brake pressure (yes Simub runs this but works fine on 0.2.8p1. I know perpetual beta testers...had a good run of the preview ver, but back to 0.2.8p1 now.

With CSP v0.2.9p1 ive noticed that in VR my GPU runs at double compared too single screen . Losing 25 to 40 fps from my 120 fps . Has anyone else experienced this and is there a known work around or a new feature that needs to be unchecked?
