Hello, I recently had a slight left-right swing phenomenon in my FFB, only with RSS and VRC GTs. Only GTs!! Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Aston, among others. Everything else is ok, and also all other mods. .This happened with the new CSP, so it's not a problem with my base. Does anyone have any ideas where to look?

Have you tried switching FFB post-processing modes?

in content manager go to settings/controls/force feedback and turn ABS effects to zero. This is something that is conflicting with the new ABS implementation.

He also posted this about it yesterday

However, this may inadvertently impact the original Force Feedback (FFB) settings.

If the ABS effect is enabled, you might experience steering oscillation, causing the wheel to shake left and right. This is easy to resolve:

— Go to Settings - Assetto Corsa - Controls - Force Feedback and set ABS effect to 0%.

Alternatively, you can try the new FFB scripting. While we still recommend turning off the ABS effect, you can experiment with the new Alternate FFB, which provides a more modern, game-like feel:

— Go to Settings - Custom Shader Patch - FFB Tweaks - Additional post processing script and select Alternate FFB.

We are currently exploring potential fixes for the ABS effect issue and might address it in a future hotfix.

Ian Bell will rock up with a bunch of promises and sell shed loads of just a simple does what it says racing sim...
Because there is, and always will be a core bunch who want to actually sim race, they aren't loud, they aren't making videos of them driving around in a tank or shopping trolley and listening to music on the working car stereo, or racing through bad looking AI traffic in some cardboard looking Japanese city.... but they are there... but seem to be ignored..... in steps Ian Bell selling us back Shift 2 again...
Never trust a word coming out of Ian Bell(end)'s mouth, and if you do... Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice Bell is the GOAT innit. Don't you remember the PC1 debacle ? PC2 riddled with (still unsolved bugs) ? That game is still the space cadet of the sim world lmao.

And don't get me started on Shift / Shift 2.
Wherever he goes and whatever he does eventually stuff falls apart but somehow it is never his fault. Although if it smells like **** everywhere you go...

Clearly not as i said he will sell us back Shift 2 again..... I'm no Ian Bell fan, but i will eagerly wait this new game like i do any new sim game. Modding has ruined AC for me as all i do is mod stuff, can't remember the last time i actually raced properly and not just been testing.
Long ago stopped subbing to iRacing, rarely touch any of the other sims i have. Too much to do in AC, too much to get side tracked into.
I am older now, sometimes i wish i was just getting into PC gaming all those years ago, can't believe after all this time its this old game that takes my game time up...

Honestly if AC gets ruined by too much modding, the best way to get around that I think is to limit the car count and keep content you know works well, and just create a bunch of championships with them and run those.

It's what I've been doing recently.

The fix is currently: Go to Settings - Assetto Corsa - Controls - Force Feedback and set ABS effect to 0%.

EDIT: I see this was already posted in comments I had not yet seen. Oh well. Just trying to be helpful!

CSP v0.2.9p1: HDR not detected & Sim3D brake pedal shakes with only light brake pressure (yes Simub runs this but works fine on 0.2.8p1. I know perpetual beta testers...had a good run of the preview ver, but back to 0.2.8p1 now.

With CSP v0.2.9p1 ive noticed that in VR my GPU runs at double compared too single screen . Losing 25 to 40 fps from my 120 fps . Has anyone else experienced this and is there a known work around or a new feature that needs to be unchecked?

That I can agree on lol

Of the 1500 hours logged on steam, approx 50% of it is me testing mods I made, not racing. It became like a second job (without the income, I ain't no Patreon modder).
Welcome to my world. 3200hours spent on AC, almost 2800 of them spent on track configs and replay cams. Second job for without any income too except few moanings (thank god only from a number of people that can be counted on one hand fingers) but this is another story...

I've spent too much time downloading mods and skins that I've never tested to ensure their quality. Now I find myself with an Assetto that weighs almost 2TB. About the same as the number of cars and tracks, namely 1,000+1,000.I'd like to clear out some space, but I don't know where to start. I tried deleting a few hundred skins from a few cars, which took me several hours. Since I like creating championships, I try to keep the skin packs by year when they're clearly identified, but my god, it takes so long!!!And which tracks should I keep when there are several from different modders? Same questions for a car.Except for RSS, VRC, T78, there are plenty of others that deserve to stay on my hard drive.Actually, Assetto is like a box of chocolates; you never know which one to choose. So, how did you do it? please, thank you

yeah same problem here......dont know why people name their skins year_series_number_team
would be sooooo much easier :D so all the skins would be sorted nicely in CM

Same here and with VR its even becomes more complex. That’s why I download something interesting I do a direct after installing the testrun, not good or so complex to get it working, it’s directly in the garbage bin. I’m not going to spend lot’s of fruitless effort to get something working.
But this can be even worser as right now I did put AC on a pause and went back to Flight sims.

At the start of the year i had 10,000 modded cars. Cause i'm a stupid hoarder. Started testing cars around various tracks ended up with an massive 6,103 lines long google spreadsheet of all the cars i tested with laptime, Quality, opinion etc. Sadly accidentally pressed delete on it when clearing out my spreadsheet's so lost it all but i'm now down to 3,800 cars instead. I do need to go over skins though as i'm suspecting a good chunk of my space being wasted is on skins that i never use.
