from the master himself:

HINT_x multiply the radius of the corner seen by the AI. Useful when AI is too fast or too slow in a corner.. usually due to compression/decompressions but there could be other reasons such as hairpin with long straight after and where the AI is going in too hot loosing in exit speed.
BRAKEHINT_x changes the AI idea of how hard it can brake in that zone.. again some compression and, especially decompression area might need this
DANGER_x is an hint that kicks in when the AI is engaged and it's informing the AI to take it easy in that section if engaged.. it's used very rarely

Stefano Casillo

When the AI is not passing each other, maybe the AI dont "see" the full width of the track. Have you checked the track borders (= red lines)? Maybe you need to add new sidelines.

Good Explanations for John @mrtomcat66 . The way I also read Johns question about making the AI pass each other, I have never done this, but I think when you setup races in CM you can change the AI car race characteristics to make them more able to raceable with each other. The AI hints makes the AI slow down but i dont think they give AI passing powers except for them catching up to each other in the corners.

Yes the sidelines do make a difference. Sidelines should be as wide as the track can be except for when you want to control them for certain corners where they may crash or have problems.

Also turning up the Aggression to 70-100 makes the AI more raceable with each other. Assetto Corsa still the AI like to get spread out and mainly do allot of Single file racing.

take care,

OK so been exploring getting more cars into the dirt ovals, because it is so much fun.
This car was made for it (all about the steer ratio).... absolute blast and as simple as just a tyre change!

Eight gears with H-shifter too - I think that's meant to be paddles. I don't know of any gated shifters with eight forward gears.

The updated car, both with and without roof, with the updated 992 interior, have paddles, all that need to be adjusted is shifter=0 in the data/drivetrain.

Hey all, tried making a replay camera for the very first time. Finally figured how to get it done but barely. It is not based on any real cameras as I just did what looked ok. It's a very driver focused camera, I will try to make another with a wider FOV if I have time. And if anyone has tips on static cams, that would be much appreciated!
This is more of a test so let me know what you think!

Anyone else just really enjoys watching replays? I catch myself watching replays just as much as I race

Anyway, this is for Nurburgring's Sprint Short which can be found on Legion's blog here
https://perendinator.blogspot.com/search/label/Other Tracks

At the time of typing this, I just found out that @safi hellie has created a great camera for this track already! Found here
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ral-discussion.307899/page-1076#post-13087004

Make sure to remove the .txt
Named it cameras_3 to complement safi's camera

Thank you @safi hellie @DaBaeda @racealot and anyone else who creates and shares track cams on here. I really appreciate it!

I am a lover of replays.... I spend hours.... once in a while I did some but I lost them ... now I am creating with camtool .... it is fantastic as a result that you get ... the bad thing is that you lose a bit of performance but for me it is easier and there are more realistic results

Greetings to all GT Planet members...

Hoping you're all doing well and fastidiously enjoying this mod... It may seem a lot of members will not be taking part on this challenge, as it is specifically for Europe... So, in the interest of those that may not be able to partake but do have the mod, here's a livery skin-pack based on a fictional GT Planet Racing Team...

Now we could have our own online race-challenge...
Included is a non-crucial fix for the exhaust flames (as picked up by @Masscot)

Enjoy

Can anyone point me in the direction of the Ford GT1 mod for this game. I've seen versions floating around in screenshots and videos on YouTube. I really want to add this car to my GT1 collection.

Here's a small ai fix for actk arnos:

https://mega.nz/file/DpgjQD4R#yP8OkJMbI7-NssWzo9QHpW9kF7d4kENdnkpn0Oe9v-M

Removed seemingly erroneous ai_hints, and added a few for good measure. New pit lane to keep cars from hitting wall at narrow entrance ( I hope, it's tight), and split the middle of pit area. Side lines cleaned up a little for a few less cones being thrown across track and crashes at the first hairpin.

nice avatar Kevin... well suited to do AI-line and modding work in general... as it takes a Brainiac to do quality work... Thanks for your hard efforts in what your doing for the community - cheers mate!

here's a LIKE ++

Welcome to the bandwagon @tiwixblue... it takes a bit of time and forever revewing race footage to get best cam placements... keep at it...

That camtool replay looks sweet! Always been impressed by camtool and like you said, the results can be fantastic. My current system can't handle it at the moment but once an upgrade comes around, I will need all the tips & tricks I can get 👍

I will thanks!

Another track camera coming your way! Still practicing but the workflow is already speeding up so that's a good sign. No set of VR cameras yet (sorry @Lernatix), will borrow a VR headset soon! This one is for @__EASY__ Pau Arnos. Thanks for the track! I've been really enjoying it, reminds me of weird hybrid of Knockhill + Laguna Seca in a way.

Few months ago there were no replays doing the rounds, I couldn't believe how many tracks had none or very poor ones.

Fast forward to now and they are everywhere which is great.

Regards camtool, it looks amazing and is far far better than anything in any sim let alone AC.
But I don't see that many people have it installed, so it seems a hassle to do the replays as it also plays havoc with the frame rate just by having the app installed.

One day i might give it another go.

Biggest problem with standard AC replays is if they are no numbered right they will over write cameras or just not work....
Pointless doing loads of cameras if loads of folks are doing them as they will just 9 times out of 10 get over written.

hear you loud and clear Safi... and you're dead on about VR coming out of the wood work... it's all good though, as it takes repetitious work to just getting it spot-on... it seems supply has finally caught up with demand in this instance... but lets not forget that quality-cams are still far few in between... camtool2 - have not delve into this as yet but have been reading up lots about being a FPS killer... the other point to make about VR creators in this forum, is that it gives the likes of you, others, and myself time to take up more modding-treats, and learn to expand AC capabilities... eg. like config-files and the like... all the best for now, regards.

@RMi_wood & @Masscot

hope she drives as good as she looks...
will give it a whirl on a track and take a look at the fuse box to try and sort out any electrical issues... cheers

If any of you are into Race07, I have uploaded my back catalogue to RD
RMi SuperCars (TDU)
Dodge Viper SRT10/ACR Convertable (Simbin)
Radical SR3/SR (Simbin)

Top Gear - Dunsfold Aerodrome (scratch by Mike Cantwell for rF)
Spa 2008 (rF)

Race07 WiPs:
C6 Vette (rF)
F1 1974 (rF)
McLaren F1 (unkn/TDU?)
Saleen S7TT (unkn.TDU?)
Sardian Heights (track rF)

I may or not post some WiP and/or the BMW M3 Game conversion to finish off the Race07 stuff I made.

The following weeks will see my GTL, GTR2 and rFactor mods get posted to RD
(these were all posted to NoGrip in the past, which is dead. (esport-racing.de has a few still)) If anyone is interested in my WiPs for these platforms to finish and release, PM me

Me to . Love watching replay especially in VR.

@Zwiss : You had finished/converted my Adelaide for GTR2, is it on RD already, or should I release that too?
If not, I can send it to you for uploading, or not. Let me know

Some info will help us, to find something.

The white one is only run in 1997 Spa? Or, in which championship was this car run?

Where the yellow run? (1997 spa?)

Who are the drivers?
