But the ks_bmw_m2cs_racing folder is still empty. I guess the update is coming soon. (Hopefully)

re: Dirt physics

As mentioned, tuning the surfaces will do wonders for simulated dirt,
Be sure to add a little damping to the track as well...

[SURFACE_example]
KEY=DIRT
FRICTION=0.92
DAMPING=0.030

WAV=sand.wav
WAV_PITCH=0
FF_EFFECT=NULL
DIRT_ADDITIVE=1
IS_VALID_TRACK=1
BLACK_FLAG_TIME=0
SIN_HEIGHT=0.00
SIN_LENGTH=0.0
IS_PITLANE=0
VIBRATION_GAIN=0.4
VIBRATION_LENGTH=0.4

I guess i have a rough idea of what damping does (in this context), but could you elaborate a bit for me...imagine i am dumb...........................................i am..

These are very basic RainFX configs to get you going - Please feel free to expand as required - I couldnt find examples on Github, here or Racedepartment at the time, so apologies if these are already availabe.

All track links in track txt file

If the track does have a config file - Add this on the end of the; YourPC:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\'nameoftrack'\extension/ext_config.ini

If the track does not have a config file (see intallation help) - unzip then add extension folder to the; YourPC:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\'nameoftrack' folder

Installation Help
If you want to move/copy the track config from the loaded tracks folder you can;
1. Create and extension folder (all lowercase) in the track folder
2. Place or create an ext_config.ini file using Notepad or similar text editor
3. To create a save as *.ini file you need to switch the files from *.txt to *.* all files
4. Copy the rain FX text for your track and paste at the end of the existing or newly created ext_config.ini
5. Sometimes there will be other KN5 files that need to be in the extension folder for track lights etc.
6. Copy these from the yourPC:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks\loaded folder and paste in the tracks extesion folder
7. To stop AC from getting confused. You can add the following to the beginning of the ext_config.ini file for each track;
Please Note: from time to time, configs in the tracks/loaded folder get updated so you may prefer to just have the rainfx as an ext_config in the track extension folder if you are not worried about a self-contained track or don't remember to check the track config on a regular basis

I really don't mind to pay for good content, but you never know the quality before you donate.

Simdream took good euros for mediocre content... Shame.

You ran an integrity check? :lol:

Ahm no? Don´t know what makes you laughing about my post?!

Some weird stuff with that update though, all my Kunos cars have been updated again, all deleted skins (did it by myself) are there again, and the UI folder has some weird entry in there:

Anyone else the same as I have?!

Another "fake" car to add to my Le Mans grids throughout history, while we don't have an original version close to the real one. Not having the car in question, I get something like that, I just use the windows paint. Photoshop only to open and save files. For this version of the Alfa T33 B2 from 1968, I used the Porsche 908 LH, soon I intend to make the Daytona version, using the Porsche 907 (simdreams), the most similar I think.

So i have been tinkering with this BMW for the past month. It was missing on the M1party.
It has the disco wheels from Pcars2, and a little fix to the right headlight, which was transparent.
The base was the M1 from AC Legends Bazza&Pitone.
Physics and all data unchanged, except the blurred objects file.
5 Skins included made by myself, the #88's haven't been posted to Racedepartment yet.
If anyone wants to add anything, like lods, animations, and whatnot you are welcome, as i still don't know how to implement that.
I don't pretend to own anything here, it is all for the enjoyment of the game.

Try searching this very forum. A lot of that has already been done.

(if the links are still active, I haven't checked)

Dallara SF14 by Luthien.j.Remillia Updated by Peugeot905(Tyler Sanders)

download link:https://www.mediafire.com/file/n37vzzfq8bz48xw/Dallara_SF17.7z/file

Drop the dallara_sf14_2017 and dallara_sf14_2017_S1 folders into the cars folder

The standard dallara_sf14_2017 is a Dallara SF14 without the power out without accounting for P2P

S1 dallara_sf14_2017 is a Dallara SF14 with added power to account for P2P added horsepower

changes to aero.ini and engine.ini

slight decrease in drag and slight increase in downforce.

Updated U.I. folder and JSON file

Updated Sound

(Default setup car has long gearing and high wing setting's)

" Overall of the bat this Dallara SF14 Mod is very solid. The original mod produces too much power compared to advertised horsepower outputs from the Super formula site and other sources(Too much power by nearly 90hp).
Drag has been slightly decreased and a slight increase in downforce. I've watched as many onboards as I could find for this car. A push to pass function would be a hard function to add. Unless I implement extra horsepower to make up for the lack of P2P.
The ACC Suzuka Circuit is the main one I use. I compare lap times with real life, A.I. level 100 and myself with a setup I made for this track.
For the lack of P2P I tested the HP output at 582 hp. SF14 2017 Real Life(Red Bull Pierre Gasly): 1:35.585 AI Level 100(582 HP): 1:35.812 ME: 1:36.476 Times for HP output as advertised on Super Formula Site SF14 2017 Real Life(Red Bull Pierre Gasly): 1:35.585 AI Level 100(543 HP): 1:37.234 ME: 1:37.756"

does anyone know how to stop the tyre spray from coming through the windscreen? or alternately keeping the height of it down so it goes through the bonnet but does not come up as high as the windscreen? its a tad wierd.

(also this might be placebo, some change in latest rainfx handling of the track, (or part of that snealy update from KS) but cars seem to slide a LOT better now, previously this M1 either stuck like glue, or spun out, now i can control a powerslide around a corner quite nicely) Extended Physics is not on in the drive

Thanks for this! I was really missing those awesome aero discs <3

Edit: actually nvm. My idea doesn't really work with the lods

track surface damping adds "stickyness" so to speak.
Think of driving a bicycle on the street, vs deep dirt... how it slows you down, provides a resistance, a mushyness

hint: replace your "dirt 88% grip", with my entries, see for yourself.

btw, I know of only one or two other modders using surfaces to really try to replicate a better feel of anything but tarmac.
I came up with this teq on my own after experimenting, as did the few others im sure. Depending on the track, you will find that I even do a separate surfaces for painted lines when possible. Im sure nobody has really noticed these things on my tracks, but they enhance the experience and provide an extra value that few modders would even consider, or bother to try and implement.

p.s: a "wet" track should also include a measure of damping

note: now you are a little smarter :)

Hi Nuno,

This one's really great. I have several M1's mods, but this one I like best this far.
5 skins included (which are very well done if I may say so.) Care to do the full livery lineup in same good quality for ProCar ' 79 (and maybe '80)?
Looking forward receiving your reply on this. Thank much in advance.
