Hi just want to ask this question again, anyone here familiar with the csp analog instrument steer input?

Trying to use it to steer a second set of wheels (like if there are 6 wheels for a car) but only manage to turn the wheels the right but not the left. any idea? I would believe the input will have like (-) values for left and (+) for right?

Hey everyone! I have a question regarding verifying steam files, I've backed up the kunos cars and tracks for the skins, extensions, etc... I've also backed up my AppData. I don't want to lose anything so i'm wondering if there's anything else that needs to be backed up before I verify the files?

I posted this a while back. I have modified all my UI and dread ever needing to do a full verify. Unless your game is seriously messed up or don't have the extra space, id recommend this. basically, if you have the extra space, rename your assettocorsa folder in your steampapps folder or drag it out of there. Then when you go to verify files, it will see "nothing" and download a clean version of AC. Then you can rename that new folder to AC Clean or something, and name the original AC folder back to assettocorsa. Then you can drag and drop "clean" content from the newly downloaded game into your original content.

For example, if you get a car checksum, you can now just "redownload" the data file and not have it mess with your UI or skin changes. Same with any original game file you might need.

And unless I'm mistaken, the Steam verify will only touch files inside the steamapps folder. Your CM data in AppData should be fine (doesn't include car and track tags or skins)

Could someone provide the AI file for d7fox_mid_ohio?

For some reason, the line is broken at the start/finish of the track, making a small deviation to the left, and causing the cars to crash at the start...
I checked the track's chicane layout.

Here they are.
It's a zip file but you have to remove the .txt extension

Noticed whilst playing single player championship, there are, all of a sudden, many AI cars that are generating tons of tire smoke throughout the track(s). Using the latest CSP and pure. Anyone have any ideas as to why this migth be? Perhaps a sneak CM setting somewhere? Much appreciated, thanks!

It's not straightforward, will take an absurd amount of time to clean this, assign materials and textures, move back dynamic object to its rightfull location etc etc

But I finally have it, the F2007 from GT5

Yeah, it's a shame but the templates are provided. RSS, VRC and URD have to avoid real skins (and names) on their pay mods for copyright reasons on commercial products, but since SMP's cars are free there would be no such restrictions. Hopefully the community will step up and create some.

Two examples of another completed route of the "Mille Miglie 1955"....this time Pescara (using the version by Italotracks).

In one of them, driving the Mercedes 300 SLR (Juan Manuel Fangio) with new "small adjustments" to the physics (after the loss that occurred at the beginning of the year) with almost the entire MM '55 package (which had started last year).

The other is a version adapted for the Ferrari 118/121 LM, driven by the Italian Piero Taruffi.

I hope to share the package here on the forum in the next few days (...whatever is possible), not all the cars will be available. In total, there would be (31 cars, including originals and adapted ones) with more than 105 skins (what I could find in photos and models on the internet according to the 1955 race) and many of them (with colors that "may" have been used...)

Some cars have versions (with or without a co-driver), as you can see.If you watch other videos, you can see this better.

Since you are improving cars & helping the community, back in February 2025, @petercrill released a Mini 2021 John Cooper Works GP (in this forum), with really bad & bouncy suspension hence undrivable. The car model is good & it would be a waste to throw it away. Can you maybe have a look at it in the future? Thanks!!
 
Here is a season built around ASR 1993 car package.

TV graphics. correct calendar with Shi's 1992 tracks (plus Donington rain race)... and fuel mod (which forces the cars to pit). Absolutely no other changes.

All download links in the video description.

I still use CSP older version (0.2.6-preview1) and SOL for perfect function. It works with the newest CSP too but as you know new versions won't support SOL rain.

THE VIDEO STILL SHOWS "McLaren Honda" for Senna/Andretti/Hakkinen which I just forgot to change from the 1992 version. Correct engine manufacturer was of course FORD, which is now fixed in the downloadable leaderboard

Link to 1992/1993 leaderboard and instructions how to activate it (video) also in the video description.

All drivers have correct numbers, faces and engine manufacturers in the info card.

Player is set to control Senna. Adjust this to your liking. If you change user control, place Senna to the AI grid, I'd say 98 works excellent as his rating. This season was completely dominated by Prost in active suspension Williams FW15C, with Senna, Schumacher and Hill taking single wins.

AI ratings in the champs JSON file:

Patrese 94
Berger 94
Alesi 94
Andretti 91 (maybe being generous here as his season was a disaster but he had a top car)

Hello. I did not download it back then, but I found it now and will have a look if I can do anything to make it less bouncy and more predictable. If I'm successful I will release fixes here.
