With the latest releases content and other game updates. Is the in race lap counter and position messed up for everyone.

Regardless still going to enjoy the game over the next several days.

Not much of a stock person any more. That went away when all the greats start retiring etc in late 90's early 2000's.

I haven't tried this latest update but before it there was a problem where the lap counter would not start on the first lap of the race. It would still show 0 so when the 2nd lap starts it goes to 1. It's always a lap behind. It messes me up if I forget to check if it starts correctly because I run 10 lap races and at the end of lap 9 on the counter the race is over. There used to be two lap counters. The main big number then a smaller one on top of the leaderboard on the right side. That smaller one was always accurate. I wish they would go back to that.

I am sure that it is a bug. Shows 99 for everything for lap counter, timer, position. For laps can used the lap record time counter for player car to know what lap. Then guess could use track map for player position.

There are some little things wish they would fix like pace car being counted in number of cars on track. Have gotten used to it, however find it annoying when I am sure it could be fixed.

Yeah I'm on a few Discord channels and see you post there also, it's not somewhere that I go everyday though to be honest so here was the first time I had seen the Falcon conversion.

I'm sure it is too. If I watch the big number right as I cross the line it will briefly show the correct number before going back to the incorrect one. It doesn't do it all of the time but it is a lot of the time.

Seems to be fixed now. Headed back on the track.
 
I have been doing mainly Kyalami yesterday and today (the first track). Have not used that track very much. I think it will become my favorite track. Perfect for GT3 and above. Faster cars then normally use.

Just did a race with Stock USA Gen 1 for the first time. I know I have said that I am not much over a stock car person. Ran the race with only fuel adjustments. WOW - the cars feel amazing, look great and have good stock liveries. I was really really impressed. This will be a must purchase if not already included as part of what have purchased in the past. That is all just after one 6 lap race. Despite the fact that had coolant leak, then lap or 2 later oil leak and then good bye motor.💯

I was also on the best track settings - guess that helped the cars feel so good.

It is not fixed. It happened twice tonight.

After this update none of the lights on my Fanatec V 2.5 Formula rim work. It's totally blank. I can still drive but there are no LED's or gear indicator.

I have very little recent experience with NASCAR. I guess Forza was the latest but I don't think they were that accurate of representation of those cars. So I wasn't expecting the AMS2 versions to be so insanely hard to drive. I don't do ovals so I was using them on road courses. Those cars do not like rumble strips. Even just running over them on no power made me spin out. But the AI had no problem so that pissed me off. They also have so much torque steer. I just couldn't get on the power like the AI could or I would spin out.

I drove Gen 1 at Watkins Glen short course, Gen 2 at Brands Hatch, and Gen 3 at Road Atlanta. I don't know how often I will go back to them.

The other stuff I drove I didn't really notice any difference in the physics.

UPDATE: The Universal Hub is blank too so this update has killed the LED's and lights on both of my Fanatec rims.

Enjoying the new DLC and finally got around to trying some mods.

Is there an update to Xela1's TCR mod that works with 1.6.9? I tried Xela1_V106_45liv_V16, but it's missing sound and cockpit view. Discord hasn't worked for me forever, so I hope someone might please DM a file link.

Thanks so much! I'm gonna have a drive now.

In the early days of AC Modding, I used to be able to follow discord invites and see channels as guest, but I haven't been able to do that for years. Ever since then when I click an invite and try to make an actual account, I'm either blocked on sign up or immediately after validation no matter the device or browser or IP. It's been a real pain trying to follow any game communities.

Have not fired up AMS2 much since going back to work after Xmas and vacation days.

Was surprised to find I still have the new stock cars content.

What sound settings are most of you using? I find the brake and tire noise in general to be very weak. Even with tire or brake noise at 100. I know AC, GT and maybe others really overdue the brake and tire sounds. Will try and find time adjust sounds to see if can find decent balance. I remember so early AMS2 videos where tire and brake sound seemed decent.

Might check out AC Evo sometime. Just not sure what type of computer performance is needed for decent graphics compared to say AMS2.

They are currently pretty weak, but I prefer it that way myself. As far as Evo, I had an approximately eight year old system with a 1650 that would run AMS2 pretty well. But, it wouldn't run Evo at a playable rate. If you have a newer system, it'll probably be OK. Try it and see, if it won't refund it within the steam window.
 
What I did that worked for me was to turn everything down to 70, then turn the master volume of whatever you're using up a bit.
This way I was able to turn up the opponents engine sound because it was pretty non-existent before or whatever parameter you want more of. Once you find the balance you like, turn the highest one up to 100 and do the same amount of clicks for all the other parameters.
 
Well tried AC Evo. It loaded up and ran okay. Could not get it you recognize my moza wheel and sim lab pedals at the same time. Did try with controller for a few minutes. Regardless UI is horribly just like AC. Why any one would think the user interface is acceptable is beyond me.
I have requested my refund.

So glad the AMS2 has a good interface and all-around good in most areas. If they are able to port it to console it would I am sure become a favorite if they can maintain the physics, graphics, frame rate etc.

Sadly I can't see it making the console move anytime soon. It is one of the best though for sure, just waiting for the all inclusive bundle to go on sale so I can get all the available content. Base game is decent but it's lacking some tracks I want to use for championships.

2026 content roadmap:

At the moment the content roadmap looks roughly like this: the first update should feature a formula pack filling various gaps in our 2000s/2010s formula roster; from there we take a step back to complement our very popular 2005 Endurance Pack from last year with the second part of our Historical Endurance Pack; we will then travel way back for part3 to bring late 1960s Can-Ams and early to late 1970s Le Mans prototypes and late 1970s Group 5s, along with several circuits from that era; from there it´s a jump up a couple of decades for some 1990s British Touring Cars, back to 2005 for German Touring Cars and it´s finally back to modern times in order to catch up with as much as we are able in what we might still be missing in various fronts.

Do keep in mind again please that this roadmap isn´t definitive - things may and often do get shuffled around. The order of the factors though should not alter the final 2026 AMS2 product.

The way the content is delivered should in turn follow a more well-defined strategy, similar to what we has already been done in recent years: car packs centered around a given era or series, often accompanied by one or more circuits befitting that era or series, wrapped with a game update that brings features, rules & other developments that are pertinent to that era / series.

Given the items in these packs will often continue to involve various IP licenses, the paid DLC route is how we can manage to keep them viable; we do however have plans for more free base game cars and tracks in the mix as well.

Please let the steam machine be reasonably priced so I can fit it under my tv & play this game.

Really don't want an average size gaming pc in the front room.

Otherwise I'll just have to upgrade my potato laptop instead.

Think I'll fire up ams1 in the meantime.
