Mods are going to break again but I'll gladly take that for the amount of amazing work they're putting in. If they get all these AI updates working, I can't imagine how cool that's going to be.
 
The new F1 cars are already my favourites, so, so good. The Renault's are fantastic but they've done a great job with the generic cars too, plus they have Michelin and Bridgestone variants which is awesome to see.

There's a 2006 skin pack out already for V8 Gen 1, first pack to utilise the new team performance scalers, so the Super Aguri is slower than the Ferrari and Renault, a great new feature that will add a lot more realism to these skin packs.

Issues with McLaren licensing holding up this update. It sounds as though McLaren don't want to be licensed alongside other F1 cars in the same categories and this will affect the potential upcoming and existing content.



Basically we have to either lose McLaren, or lose Lotus, Brabham and Renault. If McLaren are going to be playing silly buggers then I don't mind seeing them go. Sounds like it would only be new purchases that would be affected but that's unconfirmed.

He also confirmed in the above quote that the Renault F1 cars will now be offered for free as an apology for what sounds like the loss of McLaren, rather than it being a paid pack.

You can't hate Zak "McLaren CEO | Sky F1 Thought Leader" Brown enough. I don't care if the issue is actually with Liberty Media, as long as I can have a go at someone who's just LinkedIn poured into a human-shaped container.

I got to spend more time tonight with the new content. Has anyone else noticed that the non Renault 2005 cars appear from the back like their tires are not touching the ground? They look like they have a ton of negative camber.

At first I thought it would be nice to drive the version of Indianapolis that I saw when I went to the USGP from 2001-2007. But that little double switchback in sector 2 is terrible and the AI is so incredibly slow through there. I drove the 2005 R25 there and the other cars were passing me pretty quickly on that long finishing stretch. Is it the extra gear that the other cars have that allows them to have the superior top speed?

I drove the R28 at Spa 2005 and completely forgot that the old bus stop chicane was still there back in 2005. I'm behind a car coming through Blanchimont expecting to go a little further up the track and turn right so I was quite surprised when the car in front slowed for the bus stop, I did not and went blasting through the grass. I had to restart that one.

I might have some more time Saturday to explore more but I'm going to be out of town all next week so I'll get back to it after I get back.
 
Took me over two days to get the latest update. My gaming laptop has partioned hardrive. The side that I have all the steam content and games on did not have enough space. Even after deleting/moving some files to the other partion. Including unistalling a few less used games. Still did not have enough space. Finally decided to move the entire steam folder to the larger partion. For some damn reason my wireless Internet connection to the gaming laptop was downloading extremely slow. We are talking 14mb/sec max. Not sure why - Internet on TV still running like normally. Needless to say took several hours.

The new content is great.

Still not a huge formula car fan. Anyways took the Hyper cars to Lemans Bugetti for a few races. Those feel great. Now interested in getting the 2nd hyper car pack. Might even consider spending $100 to get all the content that do not have and the latest content. Not sure if there is a current upgrade package that would allow you to have all the content for rest of 2026 - would be nice if there was.

Even though career mode is still several months out. I do not see why they can not create a full preset race season mode for all major race classes. Then you just select between 3, 5 for full race courses. Then adjust everything else's like normal.

Game runs quite well on my new handheld.

Handling is ok with the built-in controls but I think it would feel better on a decent pad.
 
Does it drives well with Dualsense? Graphics? Sound?

It is on sale on STEAM so I'm interested.

It has a demo with plenty of content if you want to try it.

I’ve tried using an Xbox controller a few times, it’s not too bad.

Compared to AC, ACC or PC2, I find it much easier to drive the cars with a controller in AMS2.

As simulators go, it drives pretty well on a gamepad, and it's highly customisable to get a good feeling for you as well as plenty of guides. But it drives pretty good out the box with a pad.

Graphics and sound wise, it won't win awards for the visuals but they are plenty sharp enough, lots of lovely details throughout, the track models are excellent as are the car models and it runs really smooth. The audio is generally very good throughout, I personally don't have any issues with it, some of the older content can seem a little worse but that's partly because the newer stuff is so on point.

If you go for the full bundle, there's enough content there to get completely lost in it for months, years even.

I will download demo and if I'm satisfied with gamepad support, buy it.

I would go to IMSA bundle, that costs €51 - I can't afford €130 bundle.

But at last game with Road America, that will probably be gamechanger for buying.

What an incredible race car. Looks great and sounds amazing. For sure going to be my favorite for the near term.

Yet - again the latest content does not even make the main news for this web site. I am sure that AMS2 destroys PMR. Kind of wander why I have not left this site.

Seems like everything with AMS2 has improved a lot this year.

D-pad can only take you so far. I used an entry level T-150 and then entry level Logitech wheel for several years. Moza R5 - direct drive wheel which I still use today really changed the game. I encourage anyone if they have a capability to make the switch to a wheel. I understand that there are those that just choose not to or not able to. I really not believe that direct drive wheel could be so much better then T-150 and I was so wrong. Need to consider an investment as even an entry level wheel should last 2 or 3 years. One thing is for sure no one will regret making the switch.

So this morning I downloaded and played demo for an hour - what a game!
Impressive, fantastic sound, ok graphics that are all max., great driving model and pretty good Dualsense support via DS4Windows app.

And that was it, I bought IMSA bundle for €51, now downloading...

EDIT: also bought Spa, Nurburgring 2025 and Le Mans.

Thanks for great post.
