Yeah! I'm real happy that in my RBX2010 I can be beaten by someone in a carbon X2010 that they couldn't get themselves yet seem to think they are better than me when they couldn't even get a bronze on one track. That's real fair jokers.

Cars are nearly identical and unless your racing ovals, the x2010 is such an insane car that it can be hard to even keep on the track. If your loosing on a technical course, its not the car, its you.
In the end, it doesnt matter how the player got the car, if they beat you in a race, they won that race. Better then you? possibly.
When you get trumped in any other race do you complain that the other player didnt get their car the same way you did?

this thread is absolutley ridiculous, op along with like minded people need to get a life, why are you thinking about the way others obtain there cars when you're sat in your own home? how does it effect you? oh thats right it doesnt, get a grip people wtf is a matter with you guys!! who wants to spend hours upon hours of driving crappy cars just to save milions of credits to buy the cars you actually bought the game for only to be bored of the game by the time you've got enougth credits, you guys need to take a look at yourselves if you need to make thread about something that doesnt effect you, no doubt you'll argue it does but it really doesnt unless you're planning on entering a pissing contest.

Get lost. It is useful to me because I have two ps3 at different locations. When I built a car that I like I send it to my other ps3, where I keep all the cars I want to keep. Play the game how it was designed, and don't try to change the game because some people exploit it. Don't use it or better yet just sell your ps3, because you are a tool.

The amount of wins/XP/cr do affect me, to the person saying about skill in the X2010, my skills are fine but when I see them accellerating away with shorter gears then go back to the lobby to see they are onyl level 10-20 or so it gets me annoyed that GT5 has sunk to the petty glitching levels of Xbox.

If they are beating you, it stands to reason that they are right to think that they are better then you. So, sarcasm fail?

I think the worst part about this petition is how he tells you to PLEASE sign. More like 'gain inability to sign'.

I think the people like you reacting against this are just as, if not more ridiculous than the ones pushing it. It doesn't say "PLEASE sign". It says "Please sign."

I love how people are so massively offended that people are offended that they are cheating and yes, devaluing the game. Just for the record, I'm not signing this, as I think it's a poor solution.

I agree, prices of some cars need to be dropped a bit so people don't need to use these ridiculous exploits, but do I want it all to be easily accessible? No. And I won't lose any sleep at night knowing that some guy with a wife and kids hasn't yet got his hands on ALL the most valuable cars in the game. I have plenty of time constraints myself and I won't have all the cars I want, probably ever, but I like that some will remain out of reach. It keeps things interesting.

Let me get this straight: In your scenario, the person who beats you with an identical car with different tuning beat you "unfairly" and therefore has no right to think they are better than you because they didn't get the car the same way you did? So, going along from that, your only measure of skill is not whether or not someone is actually better than you, but whether or not they grinded the game to get something that you got?
I need to get that straight, because I want to know which part of the argument (the part where you call being better at tuning an unfair advantage, or the part where you say that being a better driver doesn't count if they got the car through less legitimate means) I'm supposed to find funny.

Getting gold in X2010 challenge isn't a grind buddy, two laps is hardly that. More an acknowledgment of your skills.

I like the feature, I use a different internet forum where a guy had purchased a Toyota 7 race car and he loaned it out to a bunch of us for the historic cup. In return I loaned out a fully tuned Gallardo to people.

Buying a car for one or two races is a bit stupid.

As for online you keep ignoring the argument about setting a room with restrictions on the cars you can use.

I don't see how you or anyone gets affected online. I for one, run an online league. When I set up a race it has regulations for hp, weight, tires, etc. Every other race online has regulations of some sort. I, along with those I'm racing against, have many cars that will meet the regulations. Just because someone has duped a X2010 3 times doesn't mean they can enter any race with it. Now granted I have more control within my league than just joining any one room online, but if you create your own room and make rules then everyone has been equally regulated. Once met, you still have to beat the other racers with tuning and skill. So by me or anyone else duping a car does not give them an advantage of any kind. Having 4 versions of a car (like you propose) doesn't give one an advantage online. One still has to win by driving, no matter the car or how it was obtained.

I agree that car duping has really ruined the "collection" aspect of GT5, I don't think gifting should go away though.

I'm afraid I believe the whole 'Gifting' idea, now that save game data is unlocked, has become a total mockery. However, the alternative of locking the game save again is a FAR worse evil, IMO.

For the game to have any meaning, for ownership of hard to achieve or afford cars to be anything other than a joke, I believe we are left with only removing the 'Gifting' option as a solution.

Grinding A- or B-Spec (especially B-Spec, as it can be done completely hands-free) already allows anyone to achieve a full Garage with little or no effort. But cloning and gifting makes even THAT minuscule involvement moot.

If you want to share a tune with friends, you can write it down (there are fewer parameters that you can tune than older GT games or other racing games anyway... it's hardly a burden).

Please 'sign' this if you support returning a small measure of dignity to car achievement in GT5...

But on a serious note, what would "banning" gifting achieve now? The people who want everything already have everything, all you will achieve by "banning" gifting at this is to prevent NEW comers to game from enjoying every aspect of it

As much as I agree with the OP about grinding, it's still the player's choice how he or she wants to play the game.

If they want to gift overkill cars to one another, who are we to say they shouldn't do so? It's their game.

I'd actually prefer being able to see your cars online. That could set up an alternative source of income for people to profit by. And when you're finished with a car, it can be reused by another player instead of sitting unused in your garage or disappearing into the game economy, never seen again.

yeah me too, along side the cars i gifted to myself, i bought a citoen gt, mazda 787b, ferrari F1 an fgt all withoiut spending my credits, and you know what! if i didnt do that iwould have been able to only buy 1 of those cars and then bore the crap out of myself trying to save up millions again, i have no intention of playing those stupid endurance races which are the only races that i havent done so i woould not have gotten my moneys worth with this game without the gifting because i would never have got to race the cars i want to race the ones that i would enjoy, this game for me isnt about owning the most expensive, its about driving the cars enjoy, with out the gifting gt5 would have been a huge fail. you cant even redo a race and win the car again to sell it and you cant even sell very expensive cars, this exploit has saved gt5, well to some degree, i still expect more from updates

How about a petition for an option to open up everything in GT5 without trophies for those who want to play it like a sim, leaving the regular game for those who want to grind, earn trophies and proclaim what a great gamer they are.
