Nope, someone bought my car on the auction house, I don't know how to mod so I couldn't of done that.

Really T10 should just remove the credits from your account if that's even possible,
so they probably suspect it's not just a normal sale with a cheat buyer.

Agreed. I'd even email Turn10 and say, "WTF? Why'd I get banned? I was just auctioning off the car. It's not like I can control how much it goes for. Ban the idiot who bought it...and ask me to resell it or something."

2. Looks like a guy has been banned for selling a car for 200 million in the auction house. I realise that even if he didn’t actually perform the cheat himself he should have known that someone shouldn’t have this much so soon after launch. It’s definitely some sort of cheat/glitch, but it raised the subject of “dirty money”. People are suggesting that he was banned for benefiting from “dirty money” so I’m hoping there is some way to verify this before you allow someone to buy a car and is there a limit on how much you can sell a car for (other than market forces)?

I had raised this question already. I'm a bit worried it’s purely down to the money it’s bought with How can you have control over the money other people use... fake or otherwise?

T10 has always been questionable(understatement) with their bans, IIRC there were a number of people banned from FM3 for buying glitched tunes. I'm sure some knew it was glitched but guessing not all of them new.

As for this case, perhaps they thought it was one of those "Cash for credits" things people have been doing since FM2?

I didn't pay anyone anything though, I just put up my car in the auction house and someone ended up buying it(I'm guessing they didn't intentionally buy my car.)

If they could take the credits away and un-ban me I would be fine with it, as long as I don't loss the cars that transferred over from Forza 3... I'm also already a level 26.

Piracy and Credit Hacking
Since the release of Forza Motorsport 4, we have been closely monitoring online behavior, including the health of the Forza Motorsport 4 economy. To this end, we have flagged a number of users suspected of credit hacking. This includes both using third-party devices to hack credits as well as for receiving hacked credits (via Auction House, gifting, etc.)

We are investigating all accounts on an individual basis. After the review process, if you have been caught hacking credits, you will be console banned. If we have found that you received hacked credits, your game save will be invalidated (and you will receive an in-game message asking you to delete your save). To gain access to online features again, you will need to delete your save file and start the game over.


Regarding piracy, if you have received an in-game message indicating that your console or Gamertag has been flagged for loading a pirated disc, this is the result of your console or account having been flagged by Xbox piracy detection. If you believe that you have received this message in error, please contact Xbox LIVE Support.


We take these issues very seriously in order to provide Forza Motorsport 4 fans with the best online experience possible.

So, fear not, if you've only received the money...you'll simply have to start all over. Thankfully this is happening at the beginning of the game's lifecycle 'cause people would be PISSED if they were at level 149 and were about to finish the last race before 150 and they were asked to restart the game.

They are not looking at auctions within reason. Again common sense goes along way here.

The scam is soooooo obvious. You have two accounts. It's the equivalent of laundering money. Anyways the whole economy system has no place in sim racing, if I want an economy game I could go pickup one of the tycoon games. It seems funny T10 try so hard to protect something that has nothing to do with sim racing.
