They are not looking at auctions within reason. Again common sense goes along way here.

Again, obviously the 999,999,000 is something that is exploited to move credits from a flagged account to a "legit" account. This has happened in the past. This is why they are targeting both accounts. Don't act dumb.

I appreciate that putting your car up for sale at this price is asking for trouble, but the official statement mentions nothing about using common sense…

If we have found that you received hacked credits, your game save will be invalidated

Doesn’t mention facts, figures or anything else. Detection of dual accounts and same IP etc. would be fine but it seems just receiving hacked credits gets you “invalidated”.

I’m with FMLondoner… I won’t be using the auction house or storefront until this is officially clarified

Why don't they get something to detect modded credits as soon as they start the game up? That way they will never be able to invalidate your save because the people will never be able to use the money. 💡

That would make sense, certainly something has to be done to prevent innocent people from being affected by hackers. Ah the joys of online gaming.

The scam is soooooo obvious. You have two accounts. It's the equivalent of laundering money. Anyways the whole economy system has no place in sim racing, if I want an economy game I could go pickup one of the tycoon games. It seems funny T10 try so hard to protect something that has nothing to do with sim racing.

Hate to break it to you but this isn't LickitySplit Motorsport 4 it's Forza Motorsport 4 and was made for a WIDE variety of people with different wants, it wasn't made especially for you. Before anything else this is a console game and as such needs to see some numbers which is the harsh reality of console gaming.

And I beg to differ. There's an economy in real life. I didn't know those Forumla 1 cars were free. What the hell am I doing here typing in a forum when I could be getting a free Race Modified BMW. Peace out dudes, going to get my "economy free" car.

I would have thought that deleting your save and starting again, it'll re-import your FM3, save, can't see why not, just give it a try.

As for the banning, you have to see how the money can ruin the auction house to see why they look for people putting cars up for sale for millions more then they are worth, as credit laundering is/was rife with some people just doing it on purpose to ruin the economy of the honest gamer..

We use the Auction house to pass credits around for winning organised events (rarely over 2-3million) and have never been flagged ever..

Just to let you know unicorn cars aren't giftable on any Forza, and I'm banned soo I'm not allowed to gift cars, recieve cars, and/or use club cars, etc.

Common sense would be not to put your car up for the maximum amount of credit aka a dollar short of one billion credit. Either, the poster did this for two reasons- 1: innocently just cause it would be awesome to have that many credits in game and too see if anyone would be silly enough to do it. Or 2: to gift himself that many credits. And I would believe, at least in T10s point of investigating, this is what they are trying to figure out. Who are the people scamming the system and who are innocent, regardless of common sense.
Sucks having your account banned but there are always lessons to be learned in life. And the setback of having your account banned is pretty miniscule in the meaning of life and lessons learned.

Well, if someone is trying to pay for something with 9 digits worth of credits, then that's probably a good sign that the credits are hacked. But I would take chris's advice and stay off the AH for a while.

I’m not really sure where you’re coming from now, but from the information posted here and the official forums it seems to be a mix of selling your car at too high a price and receiving “dirty money” is getting people banned.

If there is no limit placed on sale value and no way to know how someone is paying then surely you can understand why people are worried? Nothing from T10 mentions price. If you sold a car tomorrow for 200k only to find out it was bought with hacked credits would you honestly be ok with getting banned?

I appreciate this isn’t life or death and “pretty miniscule” in the grand scheme of things, but people have paid actual cash for this game not to mention the time invested… this is a forum for Forza after all

If you have 20 million credits you either:

A- Need to get a life, turn off the XBOX, and go to sleep because you haven't slept in days.

B- Glitched or modified your game save.

Again, common sense.

Here's an idea: if you do not have the amount of money you are asking for a car then other legitimate players most likely do not either. I am level 36ish and have been saving up money since day 1. I only have around 1.5-1.7 million.

If it is over that.... Don't do it.

That's it. I had over a million earlier and haven't really played all that much and spent a bunch of money on parts. I have been getting pretty good payouts from beating rivals.

I've sold 2 Ferrari 250 GTOs in Forza 3 for about 20 million and never got banned.

The payout is much higher in rivals than world tour. But I am finishing world tour before I go on to rivals and the event list.

Why attack people?

OT: I think, for now, a good selling limit would be ~2.5mil, if not closer to ~1.5mil just to be safe. Unless the auction goes up exeptionally due to putting it up w/o a buyout, you are safe.
