Here is my uber setup for BF2

celeron 1.2ghz

384mb PC133 SDRam.

some Motherboard thats ancient.

and this bit is worth more than the whole comp a 9600XT xtreme 128mb AGP graphics card.

and 1500/256 net. Its a tad laggy sometimes but it runs .

'Tank to E4, Sniper to D7' or however it goes in chess. I remember playing Half-Life on my AMD K6-2 300mhz that supported 3D Now, but HL didn't... it meant the game was massively outperformed by a pentium 200 and the game ran on average about 10fps in multiplayer! I once counted 2 seconds when the screen slowly updated.

I've just placed an order for another gig of RAM, my PC can easily handle it at max graphics but the pause at the start of the game and the annoyance mid-round (usually when firing rockets at APCs...) when the machine has a hard drive reading fit annoys me.

The demo ran fine, even with 64 players, but im finding the game is just a bit too laggy :S, gonna ring up a computer place on monday and see if i can scab some PC133 SDram from the old computers that they probably chuck out after their customers upgrade .

Found this kool BF2 Mini Mod on FilePlanet I shall not try it until any of you try it, then connect to a default BF2 server after playing the mod. To see if you can still connect to a default BF2 server.

I hate it when no one backs you up at a far base which will be a better capture, then one that the team will not be able to capture. Because of the amount of trys.

I hate it when people on my team are fighting on strike at kharkand (or however you spell it) at the right hand side of US spawns whilst all the enemy are fighting at the left side...

And me being well me, I have to fight at the left side after all the right side would just be too easy

I like it on the 64 player map when one side has the flags on the right and the other on the left. There's some good battles on the bridge.

It wouldn't have been long until no US forces could spawn as we certaintly weren't gaining any ground. The MEC were a well organised bunch!

That usually always happens when I play there. I try to avoid it.

In my experience on Karkand;

MEC forces usually fade back towards the hotel and square. US vehicles simply overwhelems the outer defenses so long as the terrain is open. If the MEC team is good, they let the US forces penetrate the city and the whole south side of town becomes a big kill zone. If the US forces are good, well, then they pretty much drop the CPs like dominos.

But I've played lots of games with last minute reversals. On time I was playing MEC and we came back from a 50 ticket deficit and won the game 10-0.

Playing MEC is tough here sometimes, if you don't have enough people willing to play AT or Engi. One time, I was the only AT guy on the team for several minutes.

That is if you're talking about Global Score.

About the M95 again It's not worthy for an unlock but it's definetly desireable if you see someone get killed with it. So you take it. That sound of a .50 caliber sniper just gets me inside. I turn up the bass more then the volume because of the shear power from it's shot. Although they effed up on the actual power.

I can only pilot one thing VERY well and that's the cobra. I will own you in the game unless your some effing persistent mofo in a Stinger or IGLA. I usually shake 'em but sometimes I don't know hwere the eff you're coming and probably fly TOWARD you thinking i'm flying away from you.

But yes DQuan I would destroy you if I were pilot and you were piloting the MI-28.

EDIT: Oh and I got my best kill one night! I was gunner because me and a squad member were taking turns and I was aiming at a Chinese Attack Helo with the TV missle and for one the crosshair was whited out from the bright clouds! So I just shot it to see where I was pointing and when it go in the air I just prayed and hoped I pointed the right way and clicked and held my breath and the ***** turned on a time square into the Chinese Attack Helo's side...you know he's dead. I was like HOLY ****! The guy said "WTF you got him? Jesus."

Its fun hunting planes down with the stinger of IGLA. Not going to give any of my hints out how I use it to shoot down planes. Because then I may get my tactics used against me.
