I must say, I am really not digging tanks since their "server update" patch; I much preferred them after the 'paper' patch. Somehow I've been 1 shot killed from the front by another tank twice, despite having 52% health on both occasions. One hit disables from the side are virtually impossible now too. Also, what does thermo camo do, I mean, it makes no noticeable different to how quickly Javs lock on compared to without it. Annoying.

Also tried to give the AK-74u a run as I am on the fence withe M1A4 M4A1. Man, I just cannot get on with it - at all.

I have a theory that shots to the turret are as damaging as shots to the back. Actually, does better Battlelog have any info on this?

my figured that out too. seems like it takes a lot less to kill a tank if you aim at the turrent.

Finally sat down and played the campaign. It was really good but really short. I thoroghly enjoyed it. I'd put it right up their with the fun factor of Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.

Funny, there were certain times in that campaign that made me think of that game.

Particularly the death of your squad mates: You actually cared about it.

Played a good chunk of it (from Uprising to the second mission as Dima) myself last night. Still not too impressed with it but it does have it's moments. The worst thing is all the quick time events. If I wanted quick time events I'd play Heavy Rain. Hopefully they'll leave them out of future games. That being said, it's still infinitely better than the campaign in Homefront.

Played about two mins online before being disconnected only to rejoin the server I was in only to be put on the other team despite "joining" a friend. So I went for the campaign instead.

Yeah I really liked Big Red One. Especially the mission where you ahve to make it through the woods under heavy artillary.

The last mission was by far the best, it rolls right into the first.

I don't see why Everyone says MW3 is better than BF3. COD has been getting boring ever since the Modern Warfare franchise. I prefer BF3 over most FPS's. Anyway, I would like to share my classes (I'm level 46, almost 47)
Assault
L85A2
M1911 suppressed
grenade launcher
Med kit
Squad ammo

Engineer
Saiga 12K
M1911 suppressed
Javelin
EOD bot
Squad explosives

Support
M249
M1911 suppressed
C4
Ammo box
Squad ammo

Recon
L96
G18 suppressed
MAV
Spawn Beacon
Squad suppression

Oh and about that BF premium, I might have to look into that. I'm also happy about fun camp and different knives

*camo stupid autocorrect

*And gun instead of fun

Sorry but I have to disagree. The last mission is probably the worst in the game along with Uprising. Very short and too many quick time events. Overall, I thought the campaign was very poor but it was probably just included to compete with MW3.

I think the story in MW3 is better than BF3, but MP it wins hands down.

Haven't played MW3 but COD 4 and MW2 had much better campaigns then BF3 does. But of course, BF3 is the superior game when it comes to online. Deathmatch style FPS games are alright when they're done well but COD really isn't.

EA added more official DICE servers to consoles yay
In a follow-up comment received today, an EA representative told GamesBeat, “You should see DICE-hosted servers up today. I do not have the exact percentage or number of servers, but we’ll continue to monitor this to make sure all players are having the best possible gameplay experience.”

Checking the PS3 version of Battlefield 3, EA has indeed been true to its word, adding a significant number of DICE-hosted servers to the game. A search of the server browser revealed in excess of 170 official DICE servers, covering all geographical regions and all multiplayer modes.

I was on a server last night with a -[DICE]- tag on it, but in the loading screen the banned was of the San Antonio Spurs logo. I wish people couldn't name their servers to look official.

6 of those are official. Well, it's a start and yup, totally agree with the above.
Official DICE servers are prefixed with “-[DICE]-” and end with a 5- or 6-digit code. Searching for “-[DICE]-” brings up the optimal results in the server browser, but it still returns some private servers which are using the official moniker.
In order to further verify the authenticity of a DICE-hosted server, it is possible to click through and check that the owner is listed as DICE. Official DICE servers also have the welcome message: “This is an official DICE hosted server. Enjoy your stay!”

P24 servers have returned as have the odd PGRM servers, but once again beware of fakes (always check the server owner before joining, no need to worry about people who have exactly copied the usual layout).

6 on that page but you don't know what is in the other 20 pages.

He was obviously talking about those actually in the screenshot, merely making the point that search results are not giving back majority Dice servers due to a lack of a proper filter for them. Hopefully they somehow stop people from including 'fake' named servers or add a filter option for them.

Sometimes sarcasm can be difficult to convey without a chef.

Not taken your pills this morning, darling?

7 rounds for 7 wins tonight.
final round of the night was a crazy comeback in o ncanals. We were down 130= to under 50 and they have all flags, somehow we pulled a turn around and captured all 3 backand held it to win with 18 tickets left.

The most amazing thing about that is the US side holding all 3 flags , still think Canals is the single worst map on this game. In theory as a 3 flag triangle set up it should be difficult to completely obliterate a side but thanks to the 2 T90s, flares still not working and the sheer distance which the US side has to cover from the boat, it usually results in a slaughter with the RU tanks sitting by the coast owning everything before it even gets close (and should you manage to hit land there's always the rest of their team waiting). Close games on Canals are just so few and far between, it somehow amplifies the differences between 2 teams and makes it really stale. The RU side is always in the game until the last moments, where the US can be completely muted at any time and often end up scrambling to keep 1 flag or pushed back to the boat in to the usual routine.

Alot of other maps are susceptible to this, Metro and Bazaar primarily, but I find it easier to sneak around a flank and get out of a spawn trap on those maps as the other team tends to leave the same gaps every match which gives you small hope (right side from Cafe and back escalators through B in either direction on Metro, far left on RU spawn on Bazaar or right on US, generally plugging away at the farthest flank you can manage perhaps with a suppressor works).

Unless the US team has ninja helo pilots with Engi's hanging off the sides, they will lose. How can an Armoured Personnel Carrier be the balanced by 2 T90's!

Bazaar isn't too bad with the two flanks. Metro only needs another couple of access tunnels in decent places to stop the problems.

I have on the odd occasion done well as US at Canals, but you need a good team. Again, just replace the T90s with an IFV and it's a good map.

Was the AN-94 buffed? Tried it last nigt and it was BAWSS

I apologize for my total noob tactics on Canals, I've completely had enough of that map but I have to slog through because the Dice CQ servers aren't always heavily populated (or are with not enough room to sort my squad out). I spawn camped the hell out of the Z11 a number of times because he was using the laser painter + guided missile win button so I knew it had to be kept out of the sky to give us any hope with the littlebirds. We still got trashed even with my dodgy tactics, I've never stooped that low before but the fact it had no bearing on the result says it all for Canals. We then played the same on the RU side ourselves and it was guided missile spam from the littlebirds and no designators up to get them with the usual methods, yet we still destroyed them overall on points even though overall they were killing us quite frequently and annoyingly .

Canals somehow brings out the worst in players, it makes the gap between not having some equipment and having it seem huge. Technically the LAV can dominate the T90s so long as they don't run around together, it makes no sense but the ATGM is lethal if you take out any reactive armor first you almost always win the fight and I don't have reactive armor for the IFVs yet. The problem is you can't get anywhere near the coast half the time because there's a CITV/guided missile coming your way.

Outside of Canals though I had a relatively good nights Battlefielding, ended up on the losing side alot of the time but I like leading a comeback so long as they still at least try (people who don't spawn on the flag you've captured to stop a spawn trap on Metro make me angry).
