Bee you not watching A1? Blake australia are first at the moment in qualifying with new zealend second. I have to say A1 gp is boring however. F1 is 1000x better.

Nah im watchign f1 practice on formula1.com

Mother of god .... these times are so close. The entire field is currently spread by 2.4 seconds. I've never seen 20 cars so evenly matched .... Narain is in 8th for gods sake. This is weird.

Blake

yes i know its only a 10 spot penalty but the chances of sato placing better then 10th with enough fuel for a good race is slim. i think he will just fill up on fuel like he normaly does and try to come up.

the new jordan car is pretty good. the drivers just arent as good. they finaly came out with a new one after 3 years and have shown they arent the worst team on the grid. i have faith in midland for the future.

i told you guys what sato would do. i just didnt think minardi would do it with one of their cars to... darn it i was almost right about something for once!

buttons looking pretty good i think. like i said before i'm rooting for him and rubens to do good in this race.

they say sato may be using the suzuka special this race... he being hondas test "donkey" as they put it...

With a 50% chance of rain for tomorrow's race, I think it will make things a lot more interesting. With Alonso on pole, he'll have the only clear view of the race and should get a good jump on Kimi. Plus, with Fisi ahead of Kimi, he will no doubt keep him at bay for a while, while Alonso cleans up. The championship is locked, I feel. Fisi is third, with a good sign that the constructors points will stay at Renaults lead. If it rains, lets hope the start of the race is clean. Well, clean for the first two rows, at least.

yep its like snow in finland.

so bar has another wing this race? geeze... pretty soon i'll have to take back my comment on the african air forces and just say the bloody RAF!

That tire smoke from Kimi may be symbolic of his championship chances now. That was a very big mistake from the supposed "Iceman." The Renaults look good; very good. They seem to be much faster; more on pace with McLaren. If you noticed, Kimi was 0.7s down in the first sector, and was not able to pick up any time at all in the final two sectors. The Renaults will be harder to catch and pass, methinks. Plus, Kimi has a few flat spots on his left front tire to deal with. I think rain would be his biggest blessing, but he's in an awful spot to keep his championship hopes alive.

And let's not have any "Montoya will take Alonso out at the first corner!" That's not going to happen. JPM is aggresive, not dishonorable. He would rather win the race than look like an idiot. Also, Fisico and Raikkonen will probably be battling in the first corner as well...:scared:

Does it ALWAYS rain in brazil? Jeez.
It´s been raining the whole month here, I can´t take it anymore. I don´t think we had 7 days without rain in September.

It´s raining here right now btw. I´m a couple of states below São Paulo, but I´m pretty sure it will rain there tomorrow during the race.

Lmao its like their 13th front wing of the season

i thought it was more then that.

SADLY alonso looks great for tomorrow. i say sadly because winning the championship will make for a VERY boring last two races.

renault are more on pace with mclaren this race which is good finaly. lets just hope they dont share the reliability problems as bad.

part of the not being able to pick up any time thing i think may have been him not trying hard because he had to be carefull with the tire.

i hope it doesnt rain. other then the tire changing i didnt like spa and i dont want to see another slow race.

I was gonna watch the wualifying but watched the A1 qualifying instead ( i was working earlier so missed it) and i have to say, A1 qualifying is much better than F1 style.

They arent slow? why the heck is everyone saying it? Slower than F1 yeah duh but wth? its better to watch.

Yes they are slow. You can buy cars that go around a track faster than those things.
There are several championships in which the cars are faster. These A1 cars have a top speed of about 180mph and the top speed they will reach on the brands hatch straight is only 160MPH.

part of the not being able to pick up any time thing i think may have been him not trying hard because he had to be carefull with the tire.

I figured somebody would say something to that effect. But, there is nothing to be gained by backing off on the qualifying lap. Sure, saving the tire is a nice thought, but it has to survive another 185 miles (barring rain). I think he was still pushing to the max on the lap. He probably, though not definately, blew his chances in the first corner; after that he had absolutely nothing else to lose. Now is not the time for Kimi to be cautious. That ship has sailed.

i didnt mean he backed off just that he didnt try as hard because he didnt know how bad it was so he just put in a normal lap knowing his car was good enough to still get i high spot.

those a1 cars only do 180-190? dang... the star mazda series does 170! lol...

GT_Fan2005
Top speed is 190 actually. But who cares? Its better to watch than F1. Simple.

Yeah top speed 190 when using the boost button and sitting in someones slip stream. The cars are designed to aid a person behind you to overtake as the aerodynamics were purpesfully built to create a big hole in the air for the car behind.

But If you enjoy slow cars going around a track then all the more power to you. The qualfying was utterly boring but seeing as the race is manufacturer to have as much overtaking as possible it might just afterall be exciting and overthrow the fact that the cars are dreadfully slow. I wont dismiss it till after tomorrow but im pretty sure the novelty will soon wear off and you will come to your senses.
