I like that cooling idea. But Intels run cool enough. They dont need more cooling! :p

BTX is much better than that crappy feng shui ATX board that didn't even work...

Yeah, as I was reading it, I thought that AMD needs to use this.

Hm. Well I always thought that since the P4 Extreme edition runs at 107 watts means it's hotter than the FX-55, which runs at 85-87 watts.

And yeah. I've heard about the new formfactor, although Intel has been pushing the release date further. (Hm, Kinda like GT4. :dopey: )

Umm... the nickname given to the Prescott version of the Pentium 4 from Intel, is "Presshot!". I've actually seen better temps from an AMD FX-51. I just thought that should be stated.

And, BTX isn't just for airflow, it's for wiring schematics as well. BTX will allow better transfer rates, due to more precise motherboard layouts. It will be very advantageous for overclockers.

Yes damn those prescott chips run hot, we just got some of the new IBM thinkcenters with the 3.2ghz version. The heatsink is massive and when the cpu runs under heavy load the fan noise is deafening.

I like the way that BTX is layed out, I just wonder if it will be adopted by everyone. Well it makes sense to me, I suppose we will just have to see.
