Oh crap, lag!!

Haha I was replying to breakpoint - forgot to quote. xD
I had to read it three, four times to figure it out.

I only had to read it once because I knew what he was talking about since what I had wrote, win!

I can try, but when I have connected to your games in the past my connection is horrible and I'm no legendary so I can't really play in games where I'm lagging like that. There's that and the fact that you would rape me in a situation where I was the host:O
Haha :D.

You ain't joking, man. Sometimes, connection speed bothers me, even when I start out with four bars. Legendary, he might cry about lag during matches, but he'll actually come out with respectable score, even in bad games.
I was playing last night in Ground War and it said for most of the game that people had 3 bar connection but oh my, during the entire game everyones screens were getting around 14fps. It was nasty.

And why cant my voice just get deeper already, its so annoying.......crying, bah:yuck:.

You should utilize that voice changer thing on the PS3. They are annoying usually, but we should cut you a little slack. :D

A voice changer would be so funny if they had that on 360, they did have it on the original xbox but you couldn't understand a word people were saying when they used it.

Nahhh, you can always tell when people use it because it isnt perfect I also have alot of friends and they will just laugh at it :D.

You still cant understand the very high pitched and very low pitched voice changers on PS3.

I just got BF:2 in from gamefly and well, its a piece of crap. You think spawns are bad in MW2? Jesus christ. I can't tell you how much I was just getting spawn raped in this game the last few hours. Its good when your not playing against pricks like that, and especially good when the other team either has horrible snipers or hardly any. The sniping is more correct in this so it makes it a little more fun.

Thats the only thing I liked about the demo. That and the size of the levels.

I just got 53 to 37 KD in a third person Demo...I pissed off the entire enemy team. ( Including defusing their bomb in several impossible times)

The spawns aren't bad in BF at all, you have to be a crappy team to get pinned in your own spawn and it's incredibly easy to get out because you only need one squad member to get outside and you have a mobile spawn point. It's not perfect, but with a bit of brains it's very easy to avoid a spawn trap. I'm assuming by BF:2, you mean Bad Company 2, as there is a PC game called Battlefield 2 so you may wish to use BC2 instead. Any game with fixed bases will have spawn trapping, but it requires one team allowing it to happen, using the squad spawn system correctly means you can turn someone into a mobile spawn point and have him wherever you want. That said, I HIGHLY recommend playing with friends as I don't enjoy the game to much alone but in a squad on headsets it's in a different league. Also, this little discussion should probably move to the BC2 thread.

Sorry mate, meant BC2. I don't have any people I know that play it, if I were to select "join a squad" when I start the match would I be able to spawn next to someone on my team then? Here's how the scores went on just about every game, I was about 1500 or so and everyone else on my team was less than 500, so I guess it was my team that was screwing me on it. I still have it, but if I still don't like it by next monday I'm going to send it back and get Fall Out, I still haven't played it and everyone says its really good.

Fall out 3 is a drug...

Exactly, even a random squad you join of unknowns you can spawn on them. There are plenty of people in the BC2 thread on PS3 at least, which speaking of reminds me of something. It would appear that so far everyone I know on X360 is having much more of a hard time with poor teams refusing to work together and doing stupid thing. It's just what I've been hearing and I've no idea why. I love BC2 as you may have guessed, but I have a good selection of people to play with most of the time so I need not worry about other people so much, we do what we do and let everyone else get on with themselves. Headsets and team work take BC2 from an ok shooter into another level, unlike COD it's not one good player who can swing an entire battle, you need at least one good squad of 3-4. Unfortunately, this means you need to know people to play with.

Fallout is also a very good game, just don't be tricked into thinking it's a shooter as it just isn't but it is a great open world RPG and the shooting mechanics are basic but functional and still quite fun.

I was in a few games of BC2 the last bit that were good, I was the sniper, and the rest of the team were using vehicles and destroying the points. I would cover them, spot, and guard the objectives from getting disarmed. The last few games I just got so irritated that I just turned the game off. The last one I got spawned trapped by a complete jackass in a heli. It wasn't the kind I have ever used because he was flying it and shooting it. I kept having to respawn and he was just hovering around waiting for people to do so, and then he would blow us to bits, there was nothing I could do about it. I do like how I can get in a heli and then jump out to get to good spots for sniping that you can't get to other wise though, that's about all I like of this game so far. Hardly any maps, and just a few game types, they should have worked on the game a little longer....

@ Breakpoint

There's 10 maps total, but they are much larger then those I've seen in other shooters recently and much more dynamic due to destruction so I don't expect 20+ of them. Similarly with so many ways to move around a map and get to (and complete) and objective I don't find a need for new modes. It's certainly not an incomplete title, it does what it does well but it's very different to COD. I don't find myself being spawn killed for example, in the 50 hours I have on the game I've only had 1 game where it's become a problem and my team was stupid so we deserved it and it only ended in myself dying 2 times from the spawn trap before I'd got out and subsequently my squad got out to.

I find Bad Company 2 a much more immersive and intricate experience because the maps allow much more freedom of movement, being able to avoid danger whilst still having a feeling of vulnerability and an overall slower paced game giving you more time to soak up things such as the fantastic sound work. It's a team game though, so you're only experiencing a small part of it's potential unless you hook up with some people with headsets if you have one yourself. That said it won't make you prefer it to COD like I do, it's not a better game (or worse for that matter) it's just a very different take on the FPS genre and I sense from previous posts I've seen you make that COD may tailor to your tastes better then BC2.

Its just not for me I can say. The ambient sounds are great, but the sounds that matter like foot steps and the fire direction sounds are just horrid. I am using my turtlebeach's and I can't tell where anything is coming from nor hear anyone come up on me. The 3 second knife is another annoying thing to me. And as far as it being very open letting you have more freedom, I suppose, if you call freedom the game making you commit suicide if you go outside a small area it lets you be in until you have to move up or back. I was trying to stick it out but this thing is going back in the mail box tomorrow morning first thing. The single player just didn't hold my attention either, it was just boring and I couldn't even finish past the 2nd level because of that. I almost have the spotter scope unlocked, the 12X scope made a huge difference on the sniper rifle, I'm still using the rifle you have at the begging though because the ones you unlock are just crap compared to the one you start with.

Really? I'm amazed you can't hear directionally on headphones, I can tell left to right and exactly what weapon is firing at me often and thats only a simple set of speakers which only have the left right split. You clearly haven't played much Conquest if you think the areas you're locked into are small. Yes on Rush they are more compact but they often have a reasonably large base or 2 somewhere along the line. It probably takes much less time to circle a normal COD map then to get from one end to the other on a BF map without using a vehicle. I mean the fact a vehicle even has room to move and not be constantly forced certain directions shows the overall size of the map is far beyond MW2. It's not a knock at MW2, it's simply another difference as COD keeps everything very compact and fast paced in using linearity creating choke points and smaller scale overall. BC2 is like the middle ground between COD and Operation Flashpoint 2.

The maps are for sure larger than MW2, I like the sniping much better, but there are just too many things I don't like about the game. I really wanted to like it, but I just don't. I got my first double head shot with a sniper rifle earlier, that was pretty cool. I also shot the pilot out of a heli from way far away, and I mean I led him a long, long ways in front of him. I have been trying it all the time since last night, hit a few markers and then finally today killed the pilot and the thing went down, that was a great moment, so at least I have 2 fond memories of it in one day!

It seems alot of COD players have concentrating on the sniping much to the annoyance of the more serious BF players as for the first week or so after released there were far to many of them and most of which not spotting and camping. Not that I'm suggesting you have been similar, I just don't understand the correlation. Why does everyone want to be the sniper?

One thing I can say, is for people like myself, MW2 hasn't been out the box since BC2 came out, not once. It provides just the experience I've been looking for, but I'm not arrogant enough to say COD is bad, it just isn't aimed at players like myself. On the flip, I know plenty of gamers who don't enjoy anything that isn't COD anymore. Thats how different the 2 are.

I'm tired of these ****ing noobs following me around when I'm using cold blooded. Then they stand in a doorway blocking me from leaving just unloading clips into me. Then of course the enemy sees this dumbass and kills us both. WTF is with these people? You'd think they'd figure out after a few seconds of shooting me and me not shooting back that we're on the same damn team. :banghead:

i have the tendency to shot at anything that doesnt have a name :guilty::O:ouch:

I've been having a pretty crap day so far. No luck getting decent teammates whatsoever. Even the most obvious things they can't figure out. :dunce:

The only cool thing that's happened to me recently was getting my pave low with my predator missile on Karachi earlier. That was pretty cool

Well I am just good with sniper rifles in general so naturally after seeing the game included gravity that effects the bullets I had to try it out, I liked it and stuck with it since I was murdering so well with the recon kit. It depends on where I have to spawn if I use the recon or not. I know on one map you get pushed back and you have to spawn in "town", there the sniper rifle is almost useless because you just can't get the space between you and the enemy so I go with medic until we get pushed back once more. I spot, I use the mines, I watch my team mates backs, and I guard the bomb from afar because thats my role as recon, is to do, well recon. If I can't get a headshot, or believe I won't be able to I will just spot them with the spotting scope ( I unlocked it now) and have them marked for my team mates to handle. Either way I get points and I am doing my part for the team. What I am not liking is these idiots who want to use the uav so bad that there are 3 people standing around the uav terminal waiting for the guy to get shot down, most of them shooting red darts onto the guys face that is using it. Then someone comes to the uav and kills all of them with a toob.....idiots....

Also, how do people shoot the machine gun style bullets from the uav? I'm guessing its a unlock feature for scoring with it?

What a polite fella, that time attack. I already reported breakpoint and drag to the moderators like thirty times, since yesterday. j/k

I don't know how they did it, or how I was on the new map, but that's me at 4:35. On the receiving end, of course!

So I was playing world at war the other day and decided to play some domination. Hadn't played in some time but I did manage to get some dogs in that game. I've always liked that game. I'd play more but I can never find a good game...

Oh whats that? This is a MW2 thread you say? Whats that have to do with the price of beans?

I hated the dogs. Oh, god, the dogs......

Anyway, although I've been out of slump for few days now, I can't seem to reach the k/d of 2.30. I'm stuck. I've reached my ceiling for now.

P.S. What got me out of my slump was the silenced ACR. I actually prefer it to the Holo as the only attachment now. Crazy!
