Had some good games tonight. Was mainly playing Demolition with some friends. Got quite a few plants and defuses with a lot of them contributing to game wins. Working on extended mags for the M16 so instead of Blinging with a Holo and Silencer I've got the Holo and FMJ on. Making slow but steady progress on that. Unlocked Urban Camo for the M16 too.

Also decided to switch up my Marathon, Lightweight, Steady Aim speed class. Swapped out the Akimbo UMPs and USPs for a MP5K and the Spas-12. Normally the Spas is with my M16 setup but I figured some run and gun shotgun action would be a fun way to end the night. Definitely worth it.

Heading for level 70 again for the second time. Still contemplating whether to do what I did last time and Prestige as soon as I can or maybe hold out a bit and do some more challenges and spend some more time using the AK-47.
 
Played my first domination in ages and well, dominated. I had about 6 care packages and 3 triple kills. I ended 51 - 11 and someone tried to tell me that my rushing was camping :/

Heading to prestige level 2? I'd say play around with the AK for a while. Unless you plan on going all the way to prestige 10 you'll have to stop and spend some time at level 70 to do the challenges for the AK. I honestly quit going at prestige 2. I could probably be close to hitting 5th prestige by now if I kept going but I don't care about my level. What I want is to get titles and emblems, and it's tough to get them when everything keeps resetting when you prestige.
 
Yeah I'm at level 59 on prestige 1. I don't know if I'll make it to 10. Still enjoy the game a lot but it would definitely take a ton of time to get there. I like unlocking emblems and titles too so what I did when I prestiged for the first time was to switch up my classes and loadouts. That way instead of completing a lot of the same challenges that I did before I'm completing new ones. Plus it keeps it interesting when you switch things up. I'll probably try to at least complete the AK mastery before I prestige again though.
 
Ever since the second map pack came out it's been back to finding only US games with yellow bars, gg Infinity Ward. :(

Because this mappack is a bit disappointing... my friend has a rumor that IW might make another MW3 I want his sources...
 
JX23 likes them too, he put up a commentary on Machinima where he was running around with akimbo MP5s + akimbo Glocks :lol:
 
That must have been the video I watched that made me decide to unlock them. I rarely even use SMGs but these things are brutal.

I've been using a silenced M93R as a secondary. Maybe I'll akimbo it tomorrow. That thing is pretty beastly by itself.
 
I had a rather... amusing night of play - I started off craptastic and raging after encountering OMA/DC blockheads in the very first game I joined. But I stuck it out, and about halfway through my time playing I decided to do a GUNNS4HIRE and, well... spam the living daylights out of the M21.

That was hilarious. Now have 82 kills registered with it, and I'm sure I started with no more than five on it from prior matches :D I even got 1) the Collateral Damage challenge - kill two enemies with one sniper bullet and 2) a nice noscope spam headshot in the game winning killcam in the same game :cool:

Mad94d even decided like gatecrashing. :lol:
 
The M21 is the other gun I've been using recently. Its pretty funny. Good times to be had when you silence it.

I've been running into so many thermal douches recently. Bastards are pissing me off. Its either that or these 12 year olds running around with their pro pipes out constantly.

I forget who exactly it was but you turned round and got it instead with your Akimbo M93's, which was also nice.

:lol: I was getting completely owned last night. Went 1/12 one game!! :lol: Just been playing COD 4 and BC2 on PC for waaay too long.

I already have 24 of 40 FMJ penetration kills for the M21 O_O


8-hour later edit: Make that 40/40. :cool: That was a productive day's COD'ing - unlocked OMA Pro and M21 extended mags, as well as getting 25 kills with Stingers (shooting down air support = kill for some reason), 75 headshots with the M21, 75 headshots with the G18s, 250 killstreaks with Hardline (giving me the Hardline Pro logo as an emblem), and I think I levelled up from 63 to 66 :)

Why do you think I traded mine in? Figured I would trade it before it got put in the microwave....
 
Is there any word out there on the web for a date that the new map pack will come to the PS3? I've only heard "a month" after the xbox release (based on how the last map pack went down). Is there any date floating out there?

EDIT: 402 (Robert Bowling) just dropped on Twitter that it launches on the PS3 in the US on July 6th and in the EU on July 7th.

Man I had games like that too, along with getting stuck with idiots. Been in way too many games lately where my team cant seem to get past 40 kills and I account for nearly half of them. Also, I had the most bullshizz thing happen. I stuck a guy with semtex and he didn't die. No painkiller, no blast shield. I don't even think there was an explosion. I wing it at the guy, get the STUCK message and then nothing, and he somehow manages to kill me.

As fun as W@W was half the reason I bought this game is because no one ever played that game anymore.

I got half way to extended mags on the M21 last night. Going to probably try and finish that up tonight if I don't stroke out from being danger close commandoed all the way from another map.
 
They really need to fix the shotguns in this game. Just now I was playing a private match with friends when one of them killed me when I was stood on the plane wing in Afghan. He was on the floor with a SPAS 12 and one shot killed me.

2nd game, I chased down a guy running away from me and shot him 3 times from the same distance with the same gun and same setup. I got 3 lots of hit markers.

Thanks a bloody bunch Infinity Ward.
 
I know what thats like. I've stopped using shotguns but it seems like now everyone else is using them.

I've been getting hit markers with freaking predator missiles recently. I dropped one right between two guys on afgan last night and nothing even happened.

Indeed, here is a write up from moderwarfare247:

DLC 2 has been up on X360 for a week but PS3 and PC gamers will be happy to know their release date is finally set in stone.

Thanks to a tweet » from Robert Bowling, the dates for when the Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack arrives on the Playstation 3 and PC have finally been made official. As with the Stimulus Package, the Resurgence Pack will arrive roughly one month after it launched on the Xbox 360.

American PlayStation 3 owners and worldwide PC gamers will be able to download the map pack on 6th July whereas European PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait a day later for 7th July.

It's safe to say that the PS3 and PC will both receive the same treatment as the Xbox 360 launch, some double XP! The five maps in the Resurgence Pack are:

* Vacant - Back from Call of Duty 4. A fast-paced Russian office complex with few places to take cover.
* Strike - Back from Call of Duty 4. A large urban center in the desert.
* Carnival - An abandoned amusement park with a variety of unique vantage points.
* Trailer Park - A maze-like mobile estate surrounded by war-torn debris.
* Fuel - A massive oil refinery with extremely long sight-lines.

Robert Bowling has also passed on his recommendations for a possible patch in the future. These recommendations include a fix to the Fuel rock glitch, a fix to iron sights, combat free for all boosting, fix attachment issues and stop the constant reloading of grenade launchers using the One Man Army perk. And finally but not least. A lot of the community want a playlist with no killstreaks as they believe the killstreaks are either too powerful or promote camping and boosting. A tweet » from Robert Bowling suggests that this could soon come true after asking what gametypes would people like in a playlist with no killstreaks.

Regarding his recommendation for OMA "fixing", 402 said that he'd like it if OMA didn't refill explosives (specifically noobtubes) - maybe he should've pushed for that in the game when it released, instead of having to have it changed by way of a patch 6+ months after the game launched -_-

Its not the players fault, its IW that have maked the shotguns so damn powerfull. Spas with grip is my favorit, incredible range and feels so good . Thanks for the good matches tonight EU GTP crew 👍
 
Used to complain about the shotguns with everything else, but we all have access to the exact same weapons as the next guy. Don't get me wrong, I still do whine. :D

On the power + range of the shotguns, not that I know a whole lot about shotguns, but it's probably very realistic. It's the assault rifles and others that are weak & watered down. Go look at the real AA12 on youtube, the range of the shotgun in the game should be longer, actually.

I've been getting shot around the corner since the CoD4, actually. ;)

I don't know about not being able to get in the games, as I haven't played on PSN as of late(hopefully by next weekend...). Not an issue I'm familiar with on XBL.
