I think somebody had Akimbo UMP45s last night, but I could be wrong.

Strangely enough, my Blinged out M4A1 with heartbeat sensor and ACOG is not my best weapon class. I always get my big streaks using a UMP45 with holographic sight and silencer, coupled with a Spas-12 w/silencer. Perks are Bling, Cold Blooded and Ninja.

What do you all think of using Martyrdom in this game? I'm using it now, because its not as cheap as before. It can only happen after four deaths (3 with Hardline Pro). I want Last Stand...now you can crawl and stand back up if you aren't killed...:D

I unlocked the Steyr AUG light machine gun last night. Its much different to use than most LMGs we're used to in CoD since it actually uses a 42 round magazine. No long reloading times to worry about.

Ok so the suppressors still don't make sense on the M82. The gun already has one on it. Everytime I'm killed by one they show something on the front. It seems like it would have to be huge.

Anyway, I've found a new favorite map and gun combo. Skidrow with the MP5K is awesome. And when the MP5K has the double tap perk or whatever it's even better.

Yeah but only around 2-4. Not many people want to replace frags or semtex with claymores.

Ok so the suppressors still don't make sense on the M82. The gun already has one on it. Everytime I'm killed by one they show something on the front. It seems like it would have to be huge.

Anyway, I've found a new favorite map and gun combo. Skidrow with the MP5K is awesome. And when the MP5K has the double tap perk or whatever it's even better.

What's an M82? There is no gun called that in the game...

Edit: Okay, the Barrett. In that case, it does not have a silencer...it has a muzzle break/flash hider.
 
Akimbo isnt a perk, you unlock it for specific weapons by getting a certain amount of kills with it. Like an attachment. Anyways, I'm happy to report that the M16 is largely unchanged in MW2, only you dont get very many one burst kills. So its not the noobiest weapon in the game.

I'm not sure what advantage the M16 would have over the M4 now. I prefer the fully auto fire mode where I can fire single rounds when I want (which is what I do at long range, but then full auto for close quarters). I suppose it may have less recoil, but then since it fires three round bursts the total recoil from a trigger pull is still going to be more. Guess its just the sake of an easy, controlled burst...Hm.
 
I've found that I do a lot better with the FAMAS, which is also three round burst. Its more controllable and accurate, for me at least. I went back to the M4 after a day with the FAMAS and I couldn't hit a thing. I also found that I did good with the FAL, Semi - Auto.

Well the M16 is more accurate, and you do get some one burst kills. Preference i guess.
 
I haven't been online much...do to the fact I'm stealing internet from the deli accross the street:sly: . When I'm able to get online the lag is frustrating and I die alot. Its only until this Tuesday and then I get my own internet. But until then I at least get to know the maps a little and I am able to kill a little. I still have fun and I still swear at the TV. But sniping is not an option for me with this bad connection, but the nade launcher does me justice. I'm so looking forward looking to a smooth running game this Tuesday and I can do my sniping. Right now I really can't comment on the weapons but I do like the maps though and I see lots of potental in MW2...Happy killing everyone and see you on the battlefield:)
 
I'm really liking the Steyr AUG HBAR. The way that gun shoots, it might as well be a assault rifle instead of an LMG.

The Riot shield is probably the most fun I've had ruining my K/D ratio in a CoD game since suicide bombing with molotov's in WaW.
 
Spec ops is so much fun, especially with a friend. Ten more stars and I will have unlocked echo.
 
I ordered my copy from amazon on Monday.

Still not here.....

I never played CoD4, so thought I'd start fresh with MW2 and be on a level-ish killing field with everyone else, but now I'm a week behind, and counting.......

Good luck, I was a hour behind and got slaughtered by everyone online. After the first few matches my KD ratio was .50 something, after learning the maps and unlocking some things i've managed to bring it up to 1.03. I really wasn't expecting everone to be so good so quick.
 
What does anyone think/know the best control method is?

There are some people I know who would only touch a FPS with a keyboard and mouse... does the pad work ok? Or is it a case of "go buy a mouse, keyboard, headset and some combat pants, then talk to us..." ?

Am I the only one who took few minutes to walk around some of the maps in the private match mode? I got the game at launch, but I wasn't just going in there totally clueless, and get killed bunch of times.

I think I walked around in about five maps, got the feel, liked what I saw, then I was ready. :)

I'm sorry to hear that some of you didn't like the maps. Even when I was struggling at one time, I did like the maps. I was not impressed at all with the CoD4 map pack(I deleted it), so I was bit nervous going in. So far, I don't think I've encountered a map I didn't like.......

Here's my favorite custom class:

M16 Cheater(my name for the class)

Primary - SCAR-H, silenced(suppressed :D), ACOG
Secondary - PimPin' 2000 w/red-dot
Equip. - 2 Stun, 1 Frag

Perk 1 - Bling
Perk 2 - Hardline Pro
Perk 3 - Commando

Killstreak - 4 kills/Predator, 5 kills/Airstrike, 6kill/Chopper
Deathstreak - Painkiller
 
I have not changed my perks for my classes and a while back I unlocked pro for all of them.

Sleight of Hand Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Commando Pro. I love the benefit of commando pro more than commando itself. Commando lets you have a longer knifing distance but the pro lets you jump from 100m in the air and not kill you. You are invincible from falls :D!

I just added an Aussie player and he has a fair few Aussie friends and we were just using his hosting power to play reg TDM and Ground War. Ground war strained his connection a bit with 2 or 3 short lag bits but overall it was good.

I was wondering what Commando Pro did. Very cool perk. I hate blood splashing all over my screen, every time I jump off a building. :D
 
The TDM express makes me happy. Some times I think the intermission is to long between games. Though with all the new goody's they added to MW2 sometimes the intermission isnt long enough for me to see all the new stuff i unlocked.

I think the accuracy rating of guns in this game is more a recoil rating, or a hip-shooting rating. As with CoD4 I'm able to kill people across the map using an SMG.

And for burst kills, I play hardcore mode now so that's not much of a factor there. For regular it'll help. Hell, for hardcore mode I've killed people with one shot from a UMP45 at long range. Not a headshot either.
 
Is there any way to change the camo patter of your rifle after a game starts? Too many times I set it up for Artic for what appears to be a snow map, and the last second it switches to woods and I never have enough time to switch the camo pattern.

Do a-holes do this on purpose, or something? From now on, whenever it happens, I just quit the game and move to another. It happened three times in a row, and I quit for good. Don't feel like playing for the rest of the night.
 
The TDM Express isnt good for me cause noone from my region hosts it. I have trouble finding any green bar. I tried HC S & D but all of the connections lagged and I only got super pissed off. I want to know where regular Team Tac is?!?!?! Anyway, back to Reg TDM with tonnes of laggy servers also.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that sometimes my classes stuff up?! When I change class to my Assault class somehow my Primary Assault has been replaced by the previous gun, my 50cal. So many times it has happend and it is annoying me. I want to use my Tar - 21, not my silenced barret.
 
What annoys me most about this lag case is the fact that they said it wont lag and we dont need region select cause it will find green bar servers for us. They also said if it doesnt work (which it isnt) then they will fix it and add region select but whatever.

We had a GTP team going tonight. Consisting of ceiling fan, Legendary, Solid Lifters and myself.

My apologies to my teammates, I was pretty useless tonight. I was so tired, I just got on to play a few, and go to bed (really)early tonight. I got invite from ceiling, and rest is history. :lol: When I'm closer to wake, I can actually contribute, I promise you! Legendary, with the poorest connection, was the most consistent player for sure. One game he had one bar, and he carried us, that was very cool.

I'm happy I finally got to play a few with Solid, and it's been a long while with ceiling, Legendary. We gotta do this again very soon, and please, don't return the game yet Solid Lifters! :lol:

If any of you reading this want to play Team Deathmatches with us, send us friend invites. We mostly got our behind handed to us tonight, but we'll do better next time. ;)

I actually had exact same concern, but like Eric says, it's not a big deal. While they are actually functional, it's more of an cosmetic feature.

NUKED!!!!

With a score of 1/5 I saw a thing in the corner counting down a god damn nuke. Our team had 1000 points and the other team had way more, one of the guys had 25 - 0...oh my god. The whole map blew up and the match ended with a big bang. I got given a little call sign saying Toxic for being blown up. You get a challenge complete for that too. That nuke is just absolute ownage!
 
Now we don't need nightvision to shoot at Legendary in the dark.

It did say the map became radioactive or something, it was the wasteland map, it already looked chernobyl, now it really is chernobyl:sly:.

Then what is it that makes me stand out, smart guy?

I swear, I'm always getting killed. I'm like a black guy in an 80's military movie. For example, during our GTP game today. I was behind Legendary and an enemy popped in the front of both of us. I got killed, and Legendary didn't.

Another example, when I'm standing still hiding behind an object, just waiting for a enemy, I always get killed from the side, or a guy at long distance I never spotted shoots me dead. I never move! So how can he spot me? When I look at windows in tall buildings, I never spot the enemy who usually snipes me.

What is it about me that stand out? Can I change my uniform color or camo pattern? I have yet to play as a sniper an actually get a kill with my sniping rifle. I wait, and wait, and wait and not one kill. Then, I get killed.

So, you guys saw me play. What is it about me that always gets me killed?
 
Ugh, think I'm going to avoid the Boneyard or whatever the hell that map is called. Everytime I play it, someone starts sitting behind a rock sniping around the corner of the map, or starts constantly spawn camping with a helicopter or a harrier....

Need to start going back to Team Deathmatch, anyways. Demolition, HQ Pro, doesn't matter which goal-based gameplay, I seem to get teammates who don't realize that we need to go do the objective, not camp our "base"....:ouch:
