I only say it because it's a better game I find, and well worth a try. Rent? Despite it's issues I would never go back to MW2 unless someone paid me to (I accept alcoholic beverages and currency :sly:). I realise some preach how bad Black Ops is, just like some preach how bad MW2 is, when the reality is it's not a bad game at all (nor is MW2) and just that some prefer other games or even other CODs.

No, while having not played Black Ops, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Just like complaints about everything in CoD4, MW2, I don't automatically buy any criticism I hear about Black Ops. I don't play, because I just don't care to. I still prefer to play the older CoD once in awhile, because I already know how to play them, and I already have them. 👍
 
I still say get a rent in just so you can experience the new stuff without paying full price, even if only for a couple days. It's a change of pace, environment and honestly it won't take to long to adjust to the maps (plus you can use combat training against bots and even against bots with other friends if you don't wanna be alone to get a feel for maps before diving in the main MP). If you have a headset as well, you will get a whole new experience from zombies if you haven't played WaW (or didn't play anymore than the first zombie map).

Better yet borrow it from a friend if you can.
 
Learning the maps is super easy. Most people vote for the same ones twice in a row. :lol:

Not the modding. Me. :lol:

Didn't the game start with "two" claymores? I kept looking for the button to place the claymore, and even after I figured it out, I'm getting dropped looking for the second one. :lol: Also, the movement was all weird, and I was starting to get motion sickness, I had to bail.

On Black Ops, it's always rented out. And if I even did have it: 1) I have zero interest in any new FPS(especially anything from Activision). 2) I couldn't half-ass a CoD game. You guys know this. :lol:

Next time, if, I get into another FPS, I would invest my time, and effort. Otherwise, I wouldn't play one. Besides, I'm so into (real)guns right now, I'm spending all my money on 9mm & 12-gauge shells. :D

P.S. Forgot to mention. MW2 seemed completely free of any modding. 👍

Edit: CoD4 still gets hacked. Not as bad as before.

When I got MW2 on release day I was really looking forward to playing online. At the time I had just moved into a new house so I had to wait 4 weeks for my phone line to be activated and to get a broadband connection, the day finally came and I have got to say I was disappointed with the online play maybe I was expecting too much.

Not long after Bad Company 2 came out which I was waiting for and what a game it is, it far surpassed it's predecessor and MW2. Now we have Black Ops and I have to say I didn't even consider it at first due to my opinion on MW2, I played it when my friend brought his round to mine and I think it's brilliant it's definitely restored my faith in the series and I am now the proud owner of a copy.

My previous favourite was WAW so I find BO very simalar to it and maybe that's why I like it so much. Sorry for the life story by the way. :lol:
 
W@W is the one of the most underrated games of all time.

So this latest PSN update has stopped the MW & MW2 hacking?

I thought you only get one claymore in MW2? :odd:
 
You only get one claymore in MW2. However, with One Man Army, you can get one more resupplied for a total of two. But, no more than two at one time. If you get a third, and you can, if you use it, your first placed claymore dissappears.

Oh, and if the latest update stopped the hacking in MW2, I just might go back to playing it. Nahhhhh...

No, Solid. It blows it up. The sick son of a hibachi that I am, I occasionally took out people by blowing up the first claymore, but by setting up the third claymore. Very entertaining way to kill, as the victim wouldn't even know what had just taken place. :lol:

I guess. For some reason, I thought you got two. I did get two after I picked one up on Scavenger though. My memory can't be relied upon on this, even the Scavenger bags(or whatever they are called) startled me. :lol:

To be honest, I think this game is overrated. Story is too short, super-human perks and - dear god - the whining 10 year olds and racist college kids (or racist 10 year olds and whining college kids).

When I went back to CoD4, I realized how perks can actually take away from the game. Tend to agree with all the idiot kids(not all kids, the idiot one's), but it was the same in CoD4, and if somebody told me that Black Ops is different, I'd have very hard time believing that.

Story part didn't begin to compare to CoD4 IMO. Then again, nobody really cares about that part of the game anymore.
 
It has it's moments, but with what they had to work with, it could've been better. :dopey:
 
Man, Black ops is so fun... I partied up with a guy from another site and we destroyed some TDM just the two of us...

I cared for the story..though Zombie mode has my interests.
 
Would any PS3 guys like to get together one night and play this game in a private match? Basic 6v6 TDM with whoever from here and your friends lists. I kinda feel like playing this game again just for the hell of it but with things being how they are I'm not going to go into a public game and risk it.
 
Bit rusty but certainly be up for it if i'm online at the time. I know the time difference is always going to be an issue in that respect.
 
I'm always on late/early/whenever. lol.

I'd be somewhat willing to host as well since I'm somewhat in the middle of our west cost USA and European players.
 
Still hacking problems with this game? Getting really tired of all the lag and unstable frame rate on BO...
 
BO is awesome. I just don't feel like playing it until I figure out my headset situation.

IW is apparently working on a patch for this game. Or so I heard. Its said they will be fixing some hacks and glitches. It will probably be hacked again in no time but we'll see. I haven't heard a release date yet either.
 
BO is awesome, but to me it feels like BO is too much for the ps3 to handle...kinda laggy IMO.
