Steel trap? Have you seen my posts in this thread? It is like I can tell you the recoil pattern from various weapons at this point, etc. M16 is more consistent with Halo, mg4 is bugged with Silencer, Barrett does less damage with FMJ, SitRep Pro doesn't work on people given your "team" skin in FFA, nor does it negate Ninja Pro,etc etc

I don't know. I really want to make it to work tomorrow. It feels like it could go either way, right now.
 
I like this game, it's easy but fast paced and quite fun. I thought that the graphics, at the time of release, were pretty good.

Looking back at this game now, the graphics do indeed look a little cheap but that's only because I've played Crysis.

I don't think that there is any competition between Crysis and MW2 in terms of graphics and gameplay. Still, it's not a bad game and the game engine is quite good and runs smooth. For a DX9 game, it's not bad at all, but if you have a more powerful system, you've got to try Crysis.

In fact, the Crysis 2 demo is out now so you guys can try it out if you want.

Oh, okay? Kind of a random bit to just toss in here. Most of us are playing on the PS3 anyhow.

And Crysis is just eye candy - the actual game play is lacking. If you want a game with good game play, go work with a Source engine game, or even Counter Strike 1.6.

A6, I am so at work. Watching old training videos from god knows when, checking to see if they are still valid. Some of these are just :crazy:

I could maybe hop on for a bit tonight, but not sure when I'll be getting home.
 
Actually, Cody, I have to disagree on that bit. I absolutely loved the singleplayer in Crysis, it was very good. Many times better than MW2's I have to say. However, the multiplayer on Crysis was absolutely horrible.

Many people say Crysis is just pure eye-candy because they most probably can't run it on their systems and haven't played throughout the entire campaign. I still go back from time to time to play some levels in Crysis because some of them are just so much fun. It's also very challenging to either try and sneak your way to your objectives with stealth, or go in with the big guns on the higher difficulties.

I've also got Crysis: Warhead laying around. Supposedly the graphics are looking better, and the engine has been optimized so it runs better at the same time as well. I've actually never tried it, but I really have to someday.
 
My bad, I should have clarified that I meant multiplayer game play. I very rarely care for campaigns in games these days; the far more interesting challenge of PvP is just appeals so much more to me.

Would you guys like to play some longer games? I know A6 is out but I'd like a longer game type than TDM sometime. I think the average game is 4-5 minutes and then you have to sit in the lobby for another full minute.
 
I do not have a problem playing longer game types, but outside of TDM, the people playing other games types is limited, so the wait between games might be longish.
 
I saw that there wasn't many people on the other day. Is there more on now that the hacking is gone?

Also, what do you guys think about Homefront? It looks awesome to me. I'm watching the Machinima livestream and I'm thinking about getting it. The multiplayer looks like a cross of call of duty and battlefield.
 
Definitely noticing more people on-line since the last patch and found on-line has been significantly better since, not just because there are more on-line.

What sort of time are you guys playing? I think I have Cody on my PSN as well as A6 (if you're still using the a6m5zero account)
 
10pm EST which is -5 GMT. That seems to be the normal meet up time.

Ironically I was playing against a hacker just 2 days ago. I entered and wondered why I spent my entire magazine and my pistol rounds on him and yet he still didn't die. Then I saw his score: 65-0.

I've gone 40 and 0 before using a Silenced Berrett.

But the PC has been screwed from the start since they don't have dedicated servers.
 
It looked interesting, do you know if there's a demo available?

I mean, the game looks absolutely fantastic graphics-wise. But I don't know how it would run on my PC. My current PC is running Modern Warfare 2 flawlessly, but Homefront looks about 10 times better.

I have to say, though, developers have done a terrific job in the past years optimizing graphic engines.
 
Yeah, there would have to be a demo, it would have to be an overwhelming hit for me. :dopey:

I dunno about a demo. I haven't looked. It looks pretty awesome though. They have the large maps and vehicles from Battlefield but the gun/class/perk/killstreak setup from call of duty. It pretty much looks like a much faster paced Battlefield with a COD gameplay feel. So far I'm hearing some pretty good reviews as well.

Here is some TDM on PS3. So far I'm only seen TDM and Ground control game modes but it looks pretty cool.

 
It either takes too many bullets to drop someone, or the guy has same internet as I do. Commentary was funny.

It was one bar most of the time :grumpy:

Don't think i've played this since Oct/Nov, felt weird at first, especially with the button differences over CoD4. Kept smoking myself out trying to throw a care package flare :dunce:

It was fun to play with you again A6, even though one of us always has a lame connection. I did keep up at first, but then the lag just got worse and worse 👎
 
Look at it this way. If it takes more bullets to kill you might actually have a chance to run away after getting hit.

Plus he was using an SMG at range. It really seems like SMGs don't have COD range in this game. I've seen someone using the ACR and it didn't seem to have range issues.
 
Some people get on earlier in the afternoon but we don't all usually group up until later.
 
Regardless of gtplanet's next FPS, I need better internet. :lol:

Dedicated servers won't solve his latency issues if the problem is from his ISP.

Honestly though, I think he just needs to learn how to aim a bit. That way he can kill people with fewer than 10 bullets.
