Well I have almost unlocked the Red Dot Sight on the MG4 and I am quite looking forward to it. Having given the MG4 a bit more use, I can actually say that is it not quite as bad as I originally remember. It also helps knowing that the iron sights are a bit off and the MG4 needs to be aimed at the mid point or bottom of the middle post.

I think I'm done experimenting with L86 already. With the faster fire rate + massive stopping power, you'd think it's gold. Unfortunately, I've struggle a lot with the gun(still positive k/d :sly:). As soon as I switched back to RPD, I've been doing better. Maybe Cody's onto something with this accuracy stuff.

But I doubt it.
What is it about dedicated servers that you don't understand?
Only scratching the surface there, my friend. There are a lot I don't understand. :sly:

Honestly though, I think he just needs to learn how to aim a bit. That way he can kill people with fewer than 10 bullets.
Cody, it's the simplest math. Ten bullets are better than one. I can't believe I'm having to do this.

It was an absolutely brutal night. Before the Thunder-Heat game, I was doing fairly well and managed some pretty good games. After the Thunder game, I was lucky to finish even in K/D. I had one game of 0-0-10 that I rage quit and I probably should have stop playing then. Had A6 not invited me to play, I likely would have, as I was absolutely fuming at getting killed over and over.

The team I was on was getting steamrolled and with my horrible mistakes added in on top of playing with a crappy team, I stood no chance at doing anything resembling a competent player. Figuratively, I could not stop stumbling over my own feet. I started out the match by completely fumbling over cover to look down the long covered corridor on Skidrow; this quickly led to a death. After spawning, I managed to run into the same person that just killed me and I was dispatched again. I then managed to give him another two or three kills. Eventually, that same person puts up a Pavelow. I fire one Stinger missile at the Pavelow and get killed very nearly after the Stinger launch. After respawning, I shoot down the Pavelow and get killed right after shooting down the Pavelow. A Harrier soon follows the destruction of the Pavelow. As the Harrier is carpet bombing, another Harrier follows. After shooting the first Harrier down, I line up the second and quickly get killed before launching a Stinger missile. I think it was at that point that I decided to turn the PS3 off; but I recalled A6 invited me to play, so I turned the PS3 back on. The few games with A6 were slightly better, but I was still of no use.

The difference is 1 bullet only from me is coming out of an Intervention or Barrett, and will hit and kill you. Meanwhile, 1 of your ten bullets hits me and I just take cover and let the rest kill wild life and trees.

Now that I think about it, I probably should have gone to bed instead of playing MW2 after the Thunder game. I was tired at that point and decided a few games could not hurt anything. Boy was I wrong about that.

God, I feel extra bad about bailing on you now.

I'm sorry, man. With our usual suspects, we have four(including myself), plus the new transplant from XBL(only good player, SgtSasquash). Turns out they invited another guy from work, which effectively filled up the roster.

I think your bad luck rubbed off on me big time though! I'm doing good, to pure owning. I hook up with you, first game, I think I actually went negative! My game picked right up afterwards, too. :p

Look at the diagram, Cody! Couple of my bullets stopped your bullet. Then not only did I drop you, I killed TA's iPod, and also that jeep that was right next to you!*

Not only do I not own an ipod but with a spray pattern like that I think you're more likely to take out a stray airplane than enemy players.

Well gentlemen, it has been fun. I will not be joining you any time soon as my 80GB MGS4 PS3 has YLOD'd. I was playing some MW2, waiting for the next match to begin. Flipped my TV to some March Madness and heard the horrible sound of my PS3 beeping at me and shutting down, then sitting there with the red light flashing. I'm hoping for a 0.000000000001% chance that it will be fine if I let it sit for a while but I really doubt it. Not sure if I want to try to get it repaired or just buy a new one. I hate losing everything I had on it though. Even though I have a my GT5 save and a couple other important game saves backed up, I'll probably have to start back at the beginning in MW2...something I really do not want to do. It took forever to get what I had.

I actually feel gutted. I can't go throwing around $300-400 on a new system right now. I think I'm going to go outside and put a couple dozen rounds through my .22 pistol and let off some steam. I'll see you guys whenever I'm back up and running.

MW2 data is tied to your PSN I believe. So long as you remember your password you should be able to sign into it on another system. You'll lose your single player and trophy data but you shouldn't lose your online status I don't think.

This is true for MW, so I would imagine you are correct. This past Thanksgiving I signed into a buddy's PS3 with my PSN and played some MW online and it loaded up my old profile just fine.

Oh, really? I thought it was part of the game data on the system. If it's tied to my name then sweet, I won't have to spend days trying to get Sit-Rep Pro again and all my guns setup how I want.

Yup, it is all stored server side, which is really quite nice. And yeah, SitRep Pro is mental to get. I've unlocked it 3 or 4 times now

One of the good things about homefront is you only have to rank up to unlock perks. You can also have as many perks as your points will allow. Some perks have a higher point total than others so you have to choose wisely.

Another cool thing is that you unlock gun camos by going on killstreaks with that particular gun instead of having to get tons and tons of headshots. Some of the nicer camos are rank unlocked but I got some pretty sweet camos for my M110 sniper rifle just by going on a 10+ kill streak with it earlier.

 at Sit Rep Pro.

Forza, my 40GB YLOD'd last spring. I'm not gonna shoot it, but I should fix it, sell it, or fix it, then sell it. I don't know, but it's still just sitting here, nearly a year later.

Last I filled out SONY's online form, it was $150 + one way freight to get it repaired.

 at Sit Rep Pro.

It is so good though. You'd probably love it; could just sit in a corner and hear people across the map, and sound whore to levels unknown to mortals.

I'd just freak out thinking they were all over the place. Coming out of the walls so to speak...

So I just got OMA Pro again earlier, I thought they fixed it so you couldn't switch to the same class ages back?

I dunno but I had 3 or 4 OMA classes at one point so who cares.

Not me! I've duplicate class copies until I found that you can still keep switching to the same class, awesome!

I use it for many things. Its awesome being able to switch to my AA class without dying or reloading my LMG faster than with SOH. Sure I will use it with a tube class but I think OMA is a better all around perk than scav pro.

a6: I didn't shoot my PS3 lol. I'm not going to send it back to Sony though, I'll either try and fix it myself or find some place to send it to. That way I can at least have a chance of recovering my data.

So, do we have a MW2 night this week? I wish we could do CoD4 night, but that game is a pain to organize, then jump into lobbies.

I've sent it in under warranty before. Laser stopped reading any types of discs. They didn't touch anything else though. PS3 came back with all data intact.

I might be done with cod. Its just not that fun anymore. MW2 still pisses me off and no one wants to play BO with me so screw it.

From what I've read, you end up with a refurb if it's a major problem (and out of warranty) which is what I've got. What I thought of not long ago is how the hell am I going to get my MW2 disc out. I'm just glad it isn't one of the games I borrowed that's stuck in there now.

so how's the online population doing in this game? i'm thinking about starting again after a good 6 months
to switch it up a little bit with GT5

You can find games and most of them don't seem to be hacked. You will however still find knife only assholes and corner campers.

it's gonna be weird the first couple of matches, hopefully i can get back into it fast enough

If you can ride a bike you can play call of duty.
true indeed, i've had a long pause before and i thought i would start with some practice (the pit), that didn't go well
but after a few online games it started getting good fast
