I love that. I get it all the time (because I like sniping).

How many SAS snipers do you see running around with 8 foot long sniper rifles, shooting enemies from close quarters?

Mind you, my sniper class includes akimbo FMJed PP2000s, for getting me between sniper spots :D

One thing i can't use is scopes. Only use it on sniper rifles for long range, but I mostly use iron sights on all other weapons.

Iron sights narrow my vision from things surrounding it more so than any red dots do if anything they reduce the lack of peripheral vision ... Some don't though I prefer my AK47 with FMJ only. Also if I had the option to just take a scope off completely and run around with my M21 iron sights only i'd be ok with that too!
 
I suck at this game. But, after a few sessions, im gettin a hang of it. 1:2 kd became 2:1 :) i guess i just neede sum getting used to the controls and the small maps. My fingers are still programmed for BFBC :D
 
I went 40-0-0 earlier on derail earlier. All of the kills (well 7 of them, were from one spot), the remainder came from my killstreak rewards. I also manged to complete three challenges with my chopper gunner too. First up was omnicide (thats the second time I've had that now), then for the first time I got crab meat, and I also got the 500 kills for the prestige chopper gunner challenge.

Going back to Derail, I have to say that I am a champion camper on that level as I have found a superb position that has not been rumbled yet. I must be 300-0 from there, and funnily enough, it is almost in plain view.

I'll tell you were it is. If you go to the top of the map, just by the diesel locomotive. A litter further to the right (assuming your looking away from the train), you will notice a collection of wooden boxes. Camp behind there. If you are very clever you can use the dip in between two of the boxes to get a better view! It gives you excellent coverage of the rooftops by 'A', and you can snipe to your hearts content. I wouldn't usei it in core, as the killcam will get you every time, but in hardcore, it is practically unnoticeable if you couple it with cold-blooded, ninja, and a silencer.

You CAN spot the position from the rooftops, but as I have found, the lousy snipers that like to hang out on that roof, rarely if ever look that far down the map. I find that sniping from that position is a challenge as it is almost the full length of the map barring 30 or 40 feet, but on several occasions now, I have finisned the round with 20+ kills and not a single death!

Looking at the diagram you posted, I would have to say... I'm prefoundly right-brained. I laughed at some of the stuff 'left-brainers' are good at, because I'm simply not good at any of them! You only have to follow some of my past conversations/debates/rants etc to see that I am anything but logical! :lol:

I'm pretty creative (I have a few galleries in my signature that prove that), I used to play the piano by ear, I don't now though, but I occasionally DJ with record decks. I'd like to think also, that I am pretty intuative too. 👍
 
Whoa, what rank are you on Prestige? I am rank 47 Prestige 1 but I have had a bit of a down period and my kill streaks have been dying. I have only gotten 50kills with both the harrier and chopper gunner :/.
 
I'm in love with knifing people again.
Tactical Knife attachment = never using the gun it's on. I find it extremely funny when people get so annoyed at being stabbed all the time. Also had a very nice game-winning kill, jumped off a high building that usually would kill you from the fall but because I was using commando pro I dropped right into the path of my victim, just before I hit the ground I stabbed him right in the face.
 
Hey, if you have the tactical knife attachment, will it automatically knife someone just by running into them? Or do you still have to press R3?

You still have to melee yourself, it doesn't do it for you :p All it does is speed the melee up, as your knife is always "out".

I still maintain however that Knifing is best while holding a care package marker. The speed at which you run is incredible, coupled with commando and the enemy can hardly lay any shots on you.
 
I don't usually do thermals on assault rifles/MGs... but after playing some games with a thermal + grip AUG, holy hell that combo is awesome. It's like a Barrett, only fully auto. :cool:

Of course, as a thermal sight isn't the best when it comes to close-quarters combat, having a PP2k or TMP in the secondary slot makes one almighty combination 👍

Haha, somebody else figured out my knife ninja extra perk! I have a class with
marathon pro, lightweight pro, ninja pro and when you hold the care package smoke with those its knife city.
 
Eh, I mentioned that setup a bit ago, but it is much better with Commando Pro instead of Ninja... that lunge you take with Commando makes a world of difference.

I'm gonna be pretty far behind here by the New Year, as I don't have access to my PS3 till a bit afterwards.
 
I broke my longest killstreak last night, not by much, but I am clearly the leader on my scoreboard in MW2. It used to be 35, now that has been superseeded by a rather excellent 40! I got it after back-toback rounds at 'Sub-base' on HCHQ, using a rather nnifty scavenger SCAR class.

I'm only level around level 62 first prestige myself, I just get a lot of chopper gunners! :lol:

Nah, what it is is that I am poo-poo hot with the chopper gunner, and I always get around 25+ kills with it. Sometimes I do a little too well, and the other team quits. Many times I have been blasting like a maniac, only to find that when I exit, the other team has been reduced to two men! :lol: Its getting to the point now that I'm disappointed if I don't get a chopper gunner in a round - I get them that often.

If you like the chopper gunner, here are some handy tips. Don't keep your finger on the trigger. It slows the movement of the cannon, Instead fire in bursts. I find that I can take out far more guys this way, Also don't be shy about firing into doorways or window, infact make a point of it! One last thing. Don't just look at the red boxes and shoot. Take that little extra second to sniff out the 'invisible' cold-blooded guys. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction to kill a guy with cold-blooded as I can imagine they must be sitting there saying WTF!? :lol:

That said I couldn't have been more right about my predictions for the game, I averaged around my normal 2 ratio in the 10 or so rounds I played on multiplayer and probably enjoyed 1 of them, using headsets as well. Why? Because something nitpicky would always ruin it, like the overpowered streak rewards, the fact everyone can have a shotgun, the extremely poor spawn points (more then once I respawned where I previously died in the sights of the same person, or once I spawned ON a claymore) as well as other issues such as 'magic bullets' as they're referred to.

The campaign was solid, good fun if sometimes a little frustrating. Not because it was particularly difficult but sometimes the ways you died just feel so unfair (we did half the game on Vet then swapped down so we could finish it as I'm not staying long). I mean things like clearing everything behind you, advancing and then randomly being meleed in the back. It was still decent though, and spec ops is good to exactly how I predicted. It's still an avoid for me until it drops in price, which it never will.

Everything you said there I do, I had just been going downhill the last few days and not getting many big killstreaks, I am starting to come back up though and with two days till Christmas going nowhere (plans changed:tdown:) I guess I can play MW2 alot :sly:.

Wait, you did this with a friend right? Thats always fun. The spawning system in this game is [capital letter]:censored:ED [/capital letter]. Take for example a round two days ago. I was on sub base and the enemy had a chopper gunner. All of the team was respawning in the same spot and I had put on my cold blooded perk, I died as the chopper gunner literally right next to the spawn point killed me instantly. That happed SIX more freaking time before it left. My score had been ver positive and had then been brought down to neutral. No fair at all. The game can be annoying often but I guess I have gotten used to it, for a hardcorish gamer like you this probably isnt to flash as you have said above :sick:.

I use the FAL for HC matches though...great gun!

Was playing crap last night (getting slaughtered every game) so turned it off before I done anymore damage to team GTP and to my 1.07 KD.:)

ATM I'm try to do my killstreak challenges so have got naffy killstreak rewards such as uav jammer :yuck: just need to call it in another 10 times then I can move on.

Maps I hate are Estate/Karachi/Invasion/Favela
Maps I love are Scrapyard/Highrise/Sub Pens??/Rundown/Afghan, the rest I can't remember :lol:

Oh and it's great fun killing vexd lots of times, he sucks ;)

Starting to hate Scrapyard, but I am loving the AUG with grip and ACOG, spent most of the afternoon on it and have pretty much completed the challenges for it. Though as ever, I am lacking on headshots. Been using my sniper class quite a bit today too, a lot of fun.
 
I love having VEXD on my team.

That knife trick looks really good but I like my frag grenades and I dont fancy semtex...hmm.
 
I was a lover of the frag for a while to begin with.
I liked to bounce them in off doorways and try to get kills from some crazy angles....

But the first time you sticky a guy with semtex and watch him look down and around him to see where it is before he blows up, or better still, runs backwards into the room where all his mates are camping and kills three of them along with himself, you're hooked and there's no going back...

I like to play this game the way I enjoy it.
I like to kill and not be seen, it means I die a lot getting surprised by people I wasn't looking for, who run around the map, laying waste to everyone, racking up kills. I am not so interested in racking up kills, just getting a few, satisfying headshots with a sniper rifle is enough for me to be having fun. So what if I get a reputation for being cannon fodder, as long as we enjoy the game, right?

I did kill 20 in invasion tonight, and topped the board, something that happens every time I go into a server full of noobs at the moment, but the minute the round finished, I got kicked. Teehee

I hate ACOG on the AUG, the recoil is horrendous when you go BANZAIIIIIIIII! Totally worth putting up with it until you unlock the thermal scope though :cool:
 
Been messing around with a new combo tonight when I'm not feeling all that serious about winning (Unless I'm in FFA)

Claymore (for the QuickKnifing Trick)

Lightweight
Commando Pro

Massively fun to run and knife people out of the blue, especially if they keep coming back to where they died only to find I've gotten a new corner to jump from.

Just went 30-7 with that in FFA at Quarry.

Speaking of the "New corner" deal, don't you just find it funny and mischievous when you jump out from behind cover, kill someone, move to more cover nearby and they run to your old spot and then get killed from behind? I led a guy on for about 10 kills before he wised up tonight. (At the power "station" in Highrise)
