I finally got cold blooded in the end, at like past 3 in the morning, I think. It was brutal before that, as in some of the more open maps, I just got shot up by the harriers and choppers. One game in Estate, I just quit & left when I was getting spawn killed by the harrier/pave low combo.

I've been in some mega-slump, but this time, it's all on me. I guess also the prestiging, but losing perks & weapons never brought my game down before. There were stretches last night when I put up numbers like 5-13 in tdm's. K/D went down as low as 2.12, before I worked it up to 2.13, right before I quit, and got my cold blooded(thank god).

My other update is I got myself a new controller.

Two round buttons by the logitech logo: One on the right hand is the "PS" button. Left hand button let you swap left analog stick with the directional pad.

Not that I was trying to save the $$$, but it was $24.95 at BestBuy. Since my DualShock controller is pretty beat up, I've been looking around for an alternative choice to the 1st party controller, also with a heavier analog stick. This is due to my switch between X360 & PS3 has been really painful controller-wise. X360 sticks are too heavy, PS3's are too light. This logitech feels about in the middle. BestBuy customer reviews said that button feels great, which sort of do, but they feel cheap, and they make creaking or squeaky noise sometimes.

I didn't realize this at the time of purchase, but this controller does not come with the bluetooth, rumble, or tilt sensor. Since I bought it to play MW2 online, it is no big deal. I guess this could come into play later though, as some games do use the feature, last one being the first Uncharted. And since there is no bluetooth, you have to put the remote sensor in the USB port of the PS3.

Almost forgot, but it also can not be recharged. You have to provide a "AA" batteries. I figured I could use my digital camera batteries, it wouldn't be a big deal.

Overall, I love the controller. It is shaped different, but it also is much easier to hold in my hands than my DualShock 2, if you change the trigger to the "R2" button. These triggers(R2/L2) feels cheap, but is effective. At least from my playing last night. And since that is the configuration I use on the Xbox, I now can play with same button config. on both systems. This is the first time I changed the layout on CoD4, or MW2.

Sorry it became a controller review, but I hope it would help anybody who might be looking for new controllers in the near future. My logitech, bottom line, it is a pretty decent choice if you are only using it for MW2 like me. Just keep in mind about: a) trigger buttons b)lack of rechargeable battery, bluetooth, rumble, or tilt sensor.

I prefer this to the stock DualShock's. I hope it's pretty durable.
 
I have the same controller, I use it for the PC since I'm a fan of the regular sony controller, but it was $10 at Wal-Mart :p

Oregon has no sales tax, so you probably saved only $13 or so. I don't even consider $13 real money. :sly:

This guy launced his noob tube from clear across the map as if it was a mortar. The damn thing went super high in the air and came crashing down right next to me. This guy had practiced this shot in private matches, no doubt. I was both pissed-off-as-hell, and entertained at the same time.

Notice my tears at the bottom of the post. Although my Friday lunches usually goes for more than that. Thanks to my friggin' loaded friends. :rolleyes: :lol:

Got hit by that, and grenades last night. In my case, I think they were pure luck! :crazy:

Completely agree, I don't even bother with air supports now as I've not been hit since I started using this setup, not even by User-Controlled killstreaks which can still see me.

Use controlled ones make you look like a friendly on the thermal, no red box, no white heat signature = good times. I still make a habit out of taking the things out to stop my team getting pummeled by them, especially in TDM where each kill is more points against you. Not to mention, this is why I've had only 1 enemy nuke against me when I was trying to get challenges.
 
Shot down 175/500 helicopters with a Stinger now.. can't wait to get the title although it's gonna take a few more prestiges. Has anyone got the last damage absorb and bullet deflection challanges with riot shield yet? I tried it earlier and seem like they take forever to get.

The fist time I played CoD4 I switched it to the triggers, I use triggers for shooting on MW2 as well. It is miuch easier to shoot pistols or other single shot guns faster like this and as I discovered yesterday with my yet again Akimbo + FMJ models, the triggers make an awesome noise when shooting two guns at once. When you let go of both the triggers at once you get a satisfying "plack" of the triggers going back into place.

In other news I am leve 70 as of last night and 60k off of 3rd prestige, thats about an hour of good 10k point S and D matches.
 
OK, the matchmaker is broken again... I was in a two-man party, and for the first few games we were on the same team, as you'd expect. Then, for no apparent reason, we get stuck on OPPOSITE teams. We were still in our party at the time, as when I exited to the main menu I got the "leave lobby and party?" message.

Seriously, WHAT THE HELL.
 
All this matchmaking problems some of you talk about I have yet to experience on xbl, maybe IW focused more on M$ than Sony on it?
 
Given MS paid enough $$$ to ensure XBL gets MW2 DLC a month before PSN does, it wouldn't surprise me :|
 
If I remember correctly, they happened in the beginning, both on XBL & PSN. But we haven't seen that in a long while.

I unlocked my FMJ models yesterday afternoon and lost them an hour ago when I hit prestige for the third time :cool:.
 
Why, oh why...... I'm keeping both accounts(XBL & PSN) on one prestige for a very long time. At least that's the plan!
 
20 kills to FMJ... come on Fishface, get those kills quickly... :dopey:

Better have fun while you can because IW released a statement a week ago stating that they are going to Re-Patch the models because of people figuring out the FMJ trick. Before they patched them the first time they were a big problem but now you don't really see them around that much so im not sure why they are patching them again:idea: They really rushed this game, all the glitches and problems they are patching shows it.
 
I know. Hence why I wanted to unlock FMJ quick-smart. :D
 
It's because of all the moaners, running off to IW shouting "Mom, Mom tell the nasty man he can't shoot me with those, it's not my fault I can't walk around the map in any other direction besides the way he's coming from even though I know which way he's coming because I watched the killcam, Mom, tell him!"

...but we've already had a discussion about this, I wouldn't want to repeat it. Also, surprisingly, I've yet to have a complaint about my style of play, even though I wouldn't quite consider myself a camper I do realise that I'm not as mobile as I use to be, and for someone getting repeatability killed by me, I could understand if they called me so.

If I'm not using one of my Silent classes, which isn't very often, I really enjoy using the Vector with Scavenger Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Steady Aim Pro, it's a really nice Sub-Machine to hipfire with.

Oh, I get it. "Models" is 1887? This FMJ trick explains how I got killed from distance by one of those again. I thought he just got lucky. It does make the 1887 like a mid range no-scoping sniper rifle. By the time I get couple rounds off, I'm dead with just one shot.

I got "camping noob" message from some punk, last night. I was headed toward outside in the lower corridor of highrise, but I hear foot steps coming. Damn straight I camped right there at the corner, shot his butt(censored) dead as he ran inside. If dumb kids like that, instead of expecting me to go out in open, in sake of making it a fair fight, and also stop sending me message about how his feeling was hurt, he might've actually finished with more kills than deaths. He was close with 13-14, and they lost a close match. 👎
 
I just learnt today that sometimes Pavelows from carepackages count towards your kill streak :D.
 
I heard about that... doesn't surprise me tbh, given that the non-care package Pavelow is bugged anyway (if you don't get a kill with your own weapons before your Pavelow does, it won't add to your killstreak).


edit: haha, I had an awesome game-winning kill. 1887 headshot, through one of the handrails at Sub Base, fired both guns at the same time :cool:
 
Ive only gotten one freaking game winning kill cam so far and I'm now a lvl 52! Come on! The one I got made me look like a total **** too, I heard the guy coming because I have headphones on when I play and when I heard him I backed up into one of the elevators on highrise and then popped out as he walked by and put multi rounds right into his buttocks. Looked like a camper on cam and every single round went straight into his butt, which was on purpose because it made me laugh, but made it look like I couldn't aim.
 
Play search and destroy more, get many points for being awesome.
 
1000 kills each with the pave low (did that today) , the chopper gunner & the harriet air strike, these are on the prestige challenges, im finishing of the ac130 challenges next , i have 509 kills left to get with it ha crazy eyy , im level 60 & on prestige 8, so i aint really got long to wait for prestige 10 thank god,, ive been playing demolition lately because it gets your xp up quicker but not much score as i have noticed , we was killing it before guys i thought we done really good , theewar is funny with the roit shield when you watch him for some reason lol i think hes got a new tactic now though & getting better at it, nice game guys:tup:

It's easy to get the replay stolen, too. Seems like there usually are couple of kills at the end of the game. You could tell from the dog tags in CoD4, too.

One time, I shot the guy between the legs for the kill, which had the whole lobby laughing their butts off during the replay. :lol:

That's one thing I don't like about Domination. They never show the 'last kill cam.' Not enough points are made to show it.
