Well I just played a game with it, no problems thus far. Though second game put in time to get two kills before a Nuke was dropped by the enemy. Room mate is having no issues either so far it seems.

And no more crazy care package crap that I've seen so far. Yay!
 
What does the new patch do? I couldn't join a friend and my son online until we all downloaded it.

We've updated the European PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:

• Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
• Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
• Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
• Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
• Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'.
• Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

I'm playing through the campaign on Veteran for the trophies, and I'm never ever replaying Takedown. Most annoying level in a video game I've ever played. The final mission from BF2:MC runs it close, but MW2 takes the cake...

I see it differently. If you don't go easy on him, only thing he will be good at is hitting the ground, or just getting discouraged. I encourage all rookies to get their feet wet, get used to the maps, weapons, perks, then learn the combat. :)

Azuremen: I think I got you mixed up with couple other guys then(AUG). And I'm sorry I cursed at you when you got me with the Predator on Afghan. I took it back when I saw your title pop up. :p
 
The best part was I got you twice by hiding in those plants around B there. I'd pop up and shoot a bit and then duck again. Predator got you cause I saw this Cold Blooded guy running up the hill to kill me again :lol:

Been having okay games today, and I've taken a note from Sharky's book and kept track of my KD for just this Prestige - 1.37, thanks to some very not good game. Very not good, like really bad not good.
 
Thanks for the tips guys, I'll try them out. 👍 As for the patch, it froze MW2 3 times straight. That was not funny.
 
Well they seem to of fixed the European Patch now, good thing is it's made matchmaking miles better, I can now play Ground War just fine again.

Bad news, WTF have they done to Predator Missiles? There wasn't any need for that.

I'm up for private matches. I don't have a mic so I can't explain anything, which is a bummer because I tend to show people some neat tricks when I visit them.

In other news, I am becoming a huge fan of the AUG HBAR at the moment. Feels more like a weapon from CS, it has, you know, recoil, unlike certain magical AR's. But the large clip and huge stopping power are pretty nice.

It's my favourite weapon, and I'll default back to it if I'm not enjoying whatever other gun I'm using.

What they done with predators?
 
More good games last night :) Some really tough moments on Demolition but we pulled through most of the time, nice work 👍. Also managed Nuke number 3 for you guys to give us a very, very easy tiebreaker win. My KDR has now been raised even more, getting a bit silly now at 3.06 thanks to those games.

As for COD learners, I advise doing single player first to get familiar with controls and general physics of the game. Then move on to learning the maps just as a general on say domination, just see where the flags are and a few ways to get from place to place (I've never done this myself). Finally and most importantly, then dive in to an online game with experieced friends who can offer you advice on what to do, what set ups to use and so on. They don't have to be amazingly good, just need to know the general ins and outs.
 
Quite liking the MG4 at the moment, I only started using it because the FMJ attachment is called Explosive Rounds and I would like that very much.

Although when things aren't going my way I switch back to my Silent setup. I also noticed that the Predators only move uncontrollably if you use the Boost to make them go faster, still it's a pointless thing to patch IMO.

Yeah some great team work by all last night:tup:I had just picked up a chopper gunner care pack when you brought the NUKE in,just as I was about to go Ape with it :ouch:

I take that back, I must of had an odd occasion because my predator moved all over the place like I wasn't controlling it at all, been using a few more though and it seems that it was a one off.

On another note I urge everyone to try the M4A1 w/Silencer just for the noise it makes, TAKA-TAKA-TAKA-TAKA-TAKA never gets old.
 
I figured I would hop online to see how much I suck and it turns out I do. I have a 1:4 kill/death ratio.

Is there anyway to mute the voices? I can only take 12 year olds yelling profanities for so long.

In other news I tried Free for All and had a 4:7 ratio, looks like I'm getting better already.
 
That's honestly not too bad. I've seen so many people come out of a game with 1:10 K/D ratio. It really does my nut in when they're on my team.
 
Had one of my worst games today, was about 1:11 down before something clicked and I ended up about 17-13. K:D has levelled out to 1:1 for ages, annoyingly.

Standard TDM is the easiest to learn in IMO. Hang back and watch where everyone else goes and where the other team usually spawns at. I find that on some levels the other team always goes the same way. I avoid those areas and go around.

:lol: I just didn't fancy another round on that map so I called it in right away for shock value to the other side :lol: I wouldn't have held your breath on your chopper, mine got shot down before it even entered the map, my harrier only bagged 2 kills so I had to rack up 23 myself. Fairplay got the worst of the nuke, he'd just rejoined after disconnecting to get the nuke screen :lol::sly: sorry buddy!

As for your riot shield Theewar, I really appreciate having that on my side especially when you have to deal with you on the other team. However I have spotted a chink in the armour now which is nice for future riot shield encounters.

Not sure if the 360 has got the patch your talking about but if so then no its not fixed, I just tried it and it works just fine. And, I have internet again so no more excuses if anyone plays with me!
 
The patch hasn't been released for the 360 yet. I'm talking about the PS3. Some guys on another site are saying they're still seeing people CP glitching. 👎
 
I have been just about useless in the game for the past couple of days. Nothing is going my way at all. I have had very few positive K/D games. My negative change in playing may have to do with experimenting with different attachments and different multiple attachments via Bling on the SCAR.

I've been playing better, mostly. Had a flawless TDM on Afghan 32-2-0 with a couple of friends.

And yeah, SweetShop, the M4A1 with a silencer makes the most peculiarly awesome sound. But I prefer how fast the TAR or SCAR drop people over it... The M4A1 is a nice all around rifle but lacks the long distance accuracy of the SCAR or the up close stopping power of the TAR.

On the topic of ARs, I love the FAMAS, but only with Stopping Power. Dropping people with a single burst at closer ranges is quite nice. SCAR works better for me without Stopping Power than the FAMAS, so I alternate between the two for setups.

Also, gave the Thermal AUG a try out. Had some awesome games with it and then lost my touch with it and no one would seem to die or get hit by it. Paired it up with a SPAS-12 for close range fun, and with that SPAS feels like the M3 shotgun from CS 1.6, and I love that.

EDIT: Ruined some nuke boosters. Saw some guy on our team, level 4 (in Ground War) was 0-13. I check the map and sure enough there is a green arrow in some far off corner. I drop the Apache and harriers, and bust ass over to there. Sure enough, some idiots in a corner wanking each other off. Put and end to that, and then they tried it again. In TDM. Mr Lv 4 was 0 and 23. God I hate boosters.

I am trying it for my completely silent S and D class for now, I am trialling alot of guns at the moment and this doesnt seem too bad but the bullet penetration is hopeless.

What glitch, infinate or running, I cant run with it because I tried yesterday.
 
Yeah the M4A1 isn't the best silenced weapon around, I still prefer the ACR but I'll a little bored of that for now so I'm playing around with different AR's.
 
ACR is very enjoyable atm. Just about to master it, and then a about 400 more kills with it for maxing it out. Up to level 58, slowly but surely...
