I am fixing to hit the bed, I rarely ever go to bed before 4 am but I have had a rough few days dealing with my wife in the hospital and now she is home and recovering. I have to get up super early and deal with the kids and etc. and I am already drained. I will be on during the day tomorrow if you are on, and for sure tomorrow night. Maybe all three of us can get up together tomorrow night and get into a few games:tup: I am available any time after 7 or 730ish, thats when the kids go to bed so after that I am free. You xbl guys talk it up and figure out a time that works for everyone and let me know what time that would be and I can join up, I'm in Central time zone by the way.

That is fine. I am usually always on listening to music while doing other things. I will see if I could contact the others today and try to get something working. I am Pacific..possibly 1-2 hours ahead*?
 
Im currently trying to become a damn good Sniper, like quick scoping or even no scoping...

There are some videos on youtube where you start thinking, how on earth do they do this...

Playing a game yesterday on Skidrow and got got quick scoped about 5 times by this one player. Watched the kill cams and it was great. He/she had very good skill.
 
Quick scoping is honestly not as hard as you'd think, stick with a sniper rifle for a while and you'll start doing it by accident when you come up against an enemy at close-ish range. Sleight of Hand Pro is god with a sniper rifle, and stopping power doesn't go a miss either.
 
I tried it in a private game. Told my friend to standstill and from about 50 yards away it took me 3 or 4 tries.

Anyway yesterday had a really good match wining kill with the usual crew playing S&D.
We were playing on derail and on the attacking team.
I went through the creek and took 1 out just there.
Followed in through the creek and around the back of the warehouse when it shows ime the last guy left ont team. The clock starts ticking and I get a message from Fairplay that there's 2 guys over at B. I stook to the edges and made my way to the locomotive.
There's about 15 secs left so threw a stun grenade onto the power station and notice someone just over the otherside. Equipped the Aa12 and took Drags advise that start firing first even if your not around the corner. Killed both of them there, sniper and a guy with a riot shield covering him with just a few seconds left.
Looked really good on the replay.

Its one of those things that takes getting a "feel" for really. Sort of like if you played halo there were those people that were deadly accurate with plasma grenades (That was me:)). I'm sure you know the best setup,l but just in case here is the best IMO. Intervention/FMJ/Slight of had pro/stopping power/steady aim. Most of the time the problem people have with quick scoping is they don't wait long enough before they fire. If you don't wait long enough it is just a no scope and I don't care what people say, no scopes are about 30% skill and 70% luck, the only skill is eyeballing about where that target lines up. What works better for me is if I combine quick scoping with drag scoping, might want to give that a try and see if it works for you as well. I played pool for a long time and was lucky enough to be able to be taught by a dads friend was a pro player, the skill used in pool to me is very similar to how you line up no scopes and precision grenade throws, its all gauging trajectory. I can pull off and have pulled off some really impressive grenade kills, wish I had a PVR and could show the kill cams from grenade kills:tup: That seems to be the only skill I have left in FPS's, my reaction time has just went way down hill the last 2 years.

P.S. I probably won't be able to join you guys tonight for private matches. I gotta NBA Playoff game to watch.
 
I did do a bit of quickscoping with the Barret .50, but I'm doing it much more with the Intervention. It's not hard at all, just make sure you have Sleight of Hand Pro and Stopping Power.
 
Could of had another Nuke today in a Demolition game if I had it switched on. I think Demolition is probably the best game mode to go for a Nuke because it's very easy to predict where people are and how they play is basically spelt out for you at the start of the round.

Got in with The Cracker for some good games tonight, my first play of MW2 in a while, think I'll switch back to COD4 after all the lag though!

I have been on a few times but you have been playing Street Fighter something another the entire time:ouch:
 
Didn't know you have to complete level 70 before you can prestige. :ouch: Was finishing up a lot of 10,000 exp challenges today which saw me move from level 67 to 70 in no time at all so as I hit level 70 I was looking to hit that prestige button. Oh well, I'll finish that up tonight and prestige for the first time. :)

Was doing real good with the M16 last night and today. KDR went up by 0.02 so far. Was never a big fan of burst fire but after using the gun a lot I'm starting to like it.

Man, they even took Street Fighter from me right now.
My nephews tend to take my game so they can play offline...though sunday will be a free day for me. Otherwise, till 4 PM pacific I will be on after I check a few stuff online. I already reached level 70 again...I am at a 7th prestige now.
@Christhedude: Sniping is hard, you would have to think where they go and try to be a little ahead of your game and try not to get caught.
Before you take a shot, hold your breathe.
I just used experience from Socom and Battlefield.

Aldo I think you were bad luck for me, I was going for that nuke for about 10 rounds, starting with 23ish streaks on the first 2 then nothing much after that. Then you leave and I don't just get 1 nuke, I get 2 on the run as my final 2 rounds for the night :lol:. It's been a long time since I got one, so when it came to the first one, Quarry Domo, in particular I rolled it in the second I saw the thing pop up as I got a little overexcited. The second was flawless on Rundown TDM so I called it in to protect my flawless and to add insult to injury.

That was also my 10th nuke which means I now have the spinny icon, not that I'll be using it. Good games all around though, the twin nukes was just icing on the already sweet cake. I think once we got going only one game irritated me, Scrapyard Ground War is to much of a cluster 🤬 for me. It does seem if I stick at it for a while, it's a matter of when not if, even though they really tried to shoot that CG down to much success it left me close enough to finish the job manually with just 4 to go.

Nukes are over-rated though, even though they are satisfying to get if you don't spam them. Yes it takes a fair chunk of skill but there's alot of luck involved with the enemy team and on a small scale picking the right places at the right time. So long as you persist they will come eventually once you are of a reasonable level of skill. It's a case of my old favourite tactic, precision aggression, picking and choosing your fights and just picking 1 or 2 people off at a time rather then spawn rushing.
 
I would have been digging Elvis if it wasn't for the horrific quality it was coming through at :lol: For some reason the comms on MW2 never seem as clear or as smooth as any other game, I don't really know why but it always seems to get more static and a general lower quality then everything else I use, save perhaps GTA.
 
Its hard to tell much from the trailer. I saw a Huey so some parts may be vietnam era but then I also saw an AUG so I dunno.
 
Korea?Triarch is going to make this one..I hope they do a better job with it than W@W.
 
Some great games lastnight with the usual crew:) I dont normaly do well in ground war due to the number of players in the rooms(lag and such)but I was very happy with most of my results apart from one game.When we got matched with the 69 crew near the end of the night I really thought we had a hard fight on our hands:nervous: I ended 48-18 against them and got two loads of 5,6,and 7 air support which was nice,Well done to Dragonistic for finishing off the night with 2 nukes,It really did put the cherry on top of a really good night:tup:

W@W was a fantastic game with 100% better support than anything IW would ever offer. I look forward 10x more to this game than I ever did to MW2.
 
What you mean by better support?? Of the hole cod series, W@W is the game that gave me the worst online connection 👎

I had no problems with connection in that game, the only COD I have had problems with connection is MW2, it is just horrible sometimes even though I have 16mb conncection. WaW had allot more support, they made and released map packs and fixed glitches and mods as fast as possible which is something that IW hasn't done worth a damn. Just think if they would have released more than 3 maps for COD4 it would have been so great, and the 3 maps they released for COD4 were horrible.

Exactly. The game wasn't perfect when it came out but they did their best to fix it soon as something came up.They also put out three great map packs with a great alternate gameplay mode that everyone loved.

What do you get from IW? They're slow to fix anything and even now the game is still broke. IW is just in it to make money they don't give a crap about little things that Treyarch would have made a patch for by now.
 
I agree that treyarch was better to make map packs and fix glitches (although they had more glitches to fix then mw2) but that dont matter to me when I only get 2bars in online connection, and if I got 3 or 4 bars the ping was still really high because I was mostly matched with americans :rolleyes: In mw2 I get matched mostly with my neighboor countryies 👍
