How about FAMAS with ACOG? I might give that a shot, actually.

When it comes to having the ACOG on either the FAMAS or M16A4, I prefer the FAMAS.

With that said, I do not really know what attachment I like best on the FAMAS. The iron sights are clear and work well for me, so that pretty much rules out the Red Dot Sight or Holographic Sight. I also find the iron sights clear enough to not warrant the extra zoom and sight obstruction of the ACOG, as I have had multiple kills nearly across the map on Derail with an iron sighted FAMAS. Grenade launchers annoy me, as the grenade launcher is very situational and I seem to get caught switching between grenade launcher and bullets more often than not. Extended magazines seem silly since I have never run into an issue of running out of ammunition in a magazine before being able to safely reload to another magazine. I guess once I unlock FMJ again, it will be my attachment of choice.

Masterkey shotgun. Faster than pulling out your secondary and it frees up that spot for something like a stinger.

I just decided on trying the Masterkey shotgun as my attachment to the FAMAS a few days ago. I have yet to use the Masterkey. Granted, I have been switching mostly between my ACR with ACOG and Silenced UMP45 classes, so that has not helped matters.

Its not as deadly at range as the spas but its just as accurate. I don't see any reason to use extended mags on burst weapons. The sights on the famas are pretty good as well like you said. Sometimes I'll use the Holo though just because I like how it looks with camo on it.

Black ops? sounds good.
I'm kidding man! I'm still planning on no Black Ops(starting to get pressured by people though), just GT5 at this point. With the MW2, I've seen connection speed dictate my game so much, as I said before, I'm retiring until they get that fixed in FPS. AND, I'm not a fan of Treyarch. :D

I will try FAMAS. Grenade launcher's great for taking out opponent around the corner, in the bunker, behind cover, etc. I really like them.

You're not going to buy the best COD ever. You're just crazy. Not to mention how Treyarch is 1000000x better than IW. I'm sure if Treyarch was making GT5 we'd have had it years ago and you could actually burn rubber and leave skid marks in it and there wouldn't be 500 versions of the same skyline. Thats just how awesome they are. 👍

Hey, more power to ya. I just played their World at War, and I hated it. But you don't like what I consider to be one of the best games I've ever played, Call of Duty 4, so there you go. To each their own. 👍

I doubt I'll be buying another CoD for a long time. I'll still play MW2 from time to time though, but it is quite frustrating at times.

On the ACOG site discussion earlier, I still don't care much for it. Maybe on the Vector in HC and, eh, the ACR sometimes. Oh and some of the LMGs. But the Sniper rifles, no, since you get some wobble when ADS'ing.

W@W was a good game. MW1 was an ok game but with many faults just like MW2.
But see, funny you say that. In CoD4, hacks, etc., they never really bothered me, and when they did, they were fixed.

In WaW, I'm sure they fixed it eventually, but those guys under the maps, they drove me nuts. I also hated the weapons, dogs, loved the maps.

It's useless arguing though, obviously we had different impression of each games. Like I said, to each their own.

I'm feeling the same. MW2 when I get the FPS bug.

And don't be a hater on ACOG. Players like myself lack sniper skills, but like to pretend once in awhile. 3-burst sniper. :p

Edit: I'm gonna hang on to my copy of CoD4, too. Never selling that game, at least not the PS3 version.

I will try FAMAS.

Having used both the FAMAS and M16A4 extensively, I always find the switch back to the FAMAS from the M16A4 as a very pleasant surprise. The M16A4 has many positive attributes, but the biggest difference and largest benefit of the FAMAS is the extra range of maximum damage. I have been annoyed quite a few times by people not dieing in one burst with the M16A4, where had I been using the FAMAS, those same people would have been put down. A lot of my liking of the FAMAS has to do with the use of the weapon when I first started playing multiplayer on Modern Warfare 2, the first FPS I have really extensively played online and the first FPS I have played for an extended period of time in years, and how effective I was with the weapon compared to others. For whatever reason, the weapon works well for me most of the time.

Grenade launchers are great, but having to switch to the attachment leads to a few deaths that I would not otherwise incur had I not been in the process of switching between the primary function of the weapon and the attachment. In many cases, I find other attachments, such as optics, silencer, FMJ, and in some cases extended magazines, more beneficial, as each, minus FMJ, have a positive effect in the majority of encounters and make me a more effective player. With that said, the grenade launcher does have a time and place to be used, though unfortunately I never seem to have a custom class set up with one.

The ACOG is not too bad on the M21, so long as the weapon is treated as a semi-automatic assault rifle that is very good in short to mid range encounters.

I normally play anything regular, but this one friend of mine.. she bug me if I pick anything other than hardcore search. So if you want to go for it, maybe you could help me adjust.

I would play some Hardcore Team Deathmatch with you. A few months ago, I played nothing but Hardcore TDM for a week and a half. At the time, I was frustrated by constantly getting paired with absolutely terrible randoms in Core TDM and just getting steamrolled because of it. I figured a change of game mode might be fun. So I chose Hardcore TDM and I enjoyed it quite a bit, mostly because the games tend to be slower paced and teams generally play more tactically.
Added!

It does take some adjusting to play Hardcore. Quite a few weapons become much more usable in Hardcore.
The ACR is gdlk in HTDM without stopping power. Even with the sniper rifles, in normal I'm terrible but the nearly guaranteed 1 shot kill with snipers in hardcore mode makes it much easier.

It does take some adjusting but I find going from normal to hardcore easier then the other way around, just have to be careful for FF and most people use Cold-Blooded.

ACOG + ACR is really good, I was using the Famas + Thermal as my sniper rifle but I'm trying to unlock the thermal for my ACR now. I'm not really sure if I'll stick with it though, I just need something to hold me over until I get the M21 back, I find the WA2000 is decent but it is too big.

Sweet. Be great to play with ya, dude. I remember I was bummed when I found out you were a 360 kind'a guy.

I originally had a PS3 but my brother got me a Elite after he returned the PS3. Assassin's creed took too long to load

Sounds great about FAMAS, I can't wait to try it out now. On grenade launchers, since only my class to have that equipped is the Danger Close class, you have no argument from me there.

A6 is branded as a Traitor now to us XBLers.
Lost customer, that's all I am. ;)

We ran skeleton crew with me, TA, Icarus, plus my coworker and his friend. Did we lose? I don't think so, but it could be selective memory. :p

I'm doing OK with FAMAS, but it just doesn't feel as good as the M16. But I really wanna test FAMAS with ACOG, so 67 more kills to go.

I was mostly rushing around with the P90 marathon lightweight and ninja. Thats probably why I died so much on that game on scrapyard. I finally got the silencer on it and the scar so I decided to call it a night.

The last game on terminal I picked up someones riot shield and sat in the plane. I was loling. If I didn't have to deal with so much lag all the time I'd make a shield class just for the luls.

Awesome games as usual for GTP NA. Some of those games tonight weren't even close. I loved the Indians/Pakistanis that stuck around through numerous annihilations. I think I played 2 maybe 3 games with your one friend A6 after T_A left. Ended up losing the last one by 6 maybe 8 kills. The guy who went 13-21 didn't help. I was gonna message your buddy and tell him good games and I was out, but my players met list got too long and he wasn't on it.

I might play more this weekend, but next week I'm gonna switch back to the 2 games I borrowed and try and finish them up before heading on to F1 2010.

Alright, so I played a couple of games with Crazed in our party. Was pretty fun man. If you heard me in-game, sorry for repeating myself, but I was mainly using my quickscoping class, so thats why I wasn't pulling big K/D's. But I was still going after those flags, so thats what counts. Hopefully one of these days everyone of my main friends will be on at the same time. We would actually make a 6-man party out of it.

ggs it was fun. For K/D lol it's all good man. My K/D ratio was terrible and that was me actually trying. If it was not for the TAR I would have been much worse off (picked it up because of everyone talking about it the last few pages). I don't really understand how to handle the objective based modes that well except that you will get naded to hell while you're trying to take them. Also that you can spawn lock people in Domination.

You missed the Highrise match, got them spawn locked and it got pretty ugly :)

Drats. Sorry, but I had to help my parents move our washer/dryer. And by the time I was done you guys were all offline.

And yeah, when I play domination with my friends I like to call out spots. Like if I see an opening to take a base, I call it out for back-up so we can jump on it and take it quickly. Same for defending. Like on that favela match, every time we were loosing "B" I'd yell out "Check mailbox, check mailbox." If it's something like TDM, then I'm more laid-back because I know we can handle just plain killing.

BTW, did you like the friends that we played with? (Dubya, Dustin)

I had a really weird occurrence, last night. We won, I got the MVP accolades(most kills, minimum deaths)....... The score was 600-900, my stats were 1-1-0.

It was one of those "enemy forfeit in...." situation, as I guess the lobby lost too many players all at once? We were down 300 points when the game ended, but I guess they determined it a forfeiture by the other team, and me, who was 1-0 at the time got the MVP. :p

Ruination_666 was my coworker Rob, his buddy was deltaelite-something. Actually, I think the deltaelite guy left before I did. They are both noobs, but they sort of held their own during our run. :D I'll let Rob know. 👍

Lol I kept hearing check mailbox but I had no idea which point it was. Now I know

And yeah your friends were cool, they were beasting hard in both matches. They were racking up so many killstreaks I was hoping would notice my measly 13 kills!

You think they were good you should see another friend, minimac22. that guy is beastly 24/7. And we play with this one girl named Brianna. I make jokes about it, but I basically use her as fodder, lol. She isn't as good at the game, but she does go after objectives, so I use her as the lamb who goes in first and dies so the rest of us see there they all are. (no, but really, shes cool to have on your team). And I'm not bad myself if I take my time and try to get a good score. My problem is I'm not patient enough and run around with an intervention.

We lost a bunch tonight, although we probably still won a hell alot more of than we lost. But one that really hurt was what could only be the worst loss we have ever suffered. We were on Derail, got the lead, that 30-second countdown has begun. We get frigging nuked. What 🤬 me off was that clock should have ran out, but it seems that when the nuke is on, it overrides the main clock? Anyway, that was the worst loss ever, as at one point, I think we were up by at least couple thousand points, probably more.

After that, we just got overmatched. From [GTP], we just had Icarus & myself. Few of my friends joined in, but only one were veteran, three others were fairly noobieee. :p

Oh well, that was character building. We'll try again!

The nuke does cancel out the main clock just to clarify, as I've waited until the dying moments of games to call mine in. It also overides score limits, if you call it on 199 domination points even with all 3 flags the nuke will still win the game. It's fair really as it is called in during gameplay so the player has already done the work they need to do. That said I never actually thought the nuke was fair in itself as it allows one man to dominate TEAM games.

Thanks for clarifying. 👍

I'm torn on the nuke. I actually don't mind that one guy who call it in can win the game for the team. The clock override I think is B.S. Not because I just got owned by one, but even if it was my nuke, I don't think it should be relevant unless it went off in time. Just my opinion.

P.S. I finally got ACOG for my FAMAS, but it was lagging so bad I couldn't even come out even with it. Several games, I had to ditch FAMAS for ACR or TAR.

Again, inconsistent connection kill FPS for me.

I wouldn't mind the nuke if you couldn't get one for basically reaching 7 kills, map depending. If killstreaks didn't stack on to the next it would be fine but not enough people get them to make it a huge deal. To be honest, and I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, in my own experience most of the nukes have come from myself so I shouldn't complain .

I get the joys of playing on a smallish SD TV now I'm back at uni, until someone decides to hire me when a reasonably HD monitor will be top of my list. It's pretty difficult to play sometimes on some maps, you don't really notice unless you happen to work the mid-long range like I more then often do.

NUKED?!?! How long after I left did that happen? You know it never would have happened if I stayed, I would have totally dominated as usual.

Yeah, I didn't think you were there, also only other MW2 veteran we had, Vausgoth, he also got kicked earlier in the game, when we were killing the other team.

I don't recall the accurate individual stats, but I believe that only I came out with a good score at the end, while everybody on our team got owned hard. And I believe that we still had decent lead past the 30-second mark when they clock started ticking. Our high scorer, some dude who got high scores, but also 20 deaths, or close to 20 deaths each game, he bailed when the nuke was inevitable(l.o.s.e.r.).

I think the nuke guy probably killed me like three times in a row, contributing to his streak. He ran past two of my claymores in row, without me realizing it. I still don't understand how he did that, as I should've been able to hear the click, or explosion. After that, the spawn did one of those that it spawns you right in the path of the guy who just killed you? You respawn, you are looking to see where the hell you are at, only to see the same guy dropping you with one shot.

Not to dog my own teammates, but sometimes I can really understand what TA says about not wanting to play with random teams. When I join these teams by myself, so many times, I'm either the difference, or close to being the difference to winning the game. All because on those teams, my teammates thought the point of the game was to run at the group of campers who just dropped them 10 times in a row, each. Or they think they are being awesome running & gunning in the open when there is a opposing team harrier in the air, just reeling them in. :banghead: Just last night, I think I went 18-1(joined in late), we won 7500-7400, because everybody else was either in a huge k/d deficit, or barely coming out even with huge number of deaths.
