Hiya Beasley & WELCOME to the GTP Forums! 👍BeasleyFor the life of me I can't figure out what the "candy corn" icon in B-spec means. If you know what I'm talking about, can someone please fill me in? Thanks. - Lisa
I think it means that car set the fastest lap in that current sector. I'm not really sure about, though. You could be correct.Old GeezerHiya Beasley & WELCOME to the GTP Forums! 👍
Haven't "B-Speced" in a while but I "think" that Icon means the car it's closest too is closing the gap (if behind) or widening the gap (if in the lead) faster than the other cars....O.G.![]()
I like to think the corn shows that the car did the segment faster then the car in front of it.Solid LiftersI think it means that car set the fastest lap in that current sector. I'm not really sure about, though. You could be correct.
FamineCandy corn?
It's an ARROW, showing that the car gained significantly (more than 0.5s) in the last sector on the car in front.
chinnyHow can you be overtaking without being at least close enough to slipstream? That would be like unlocking a door with your keys in your pocket.

DiabolicalMaskI always thought that symbol was indicating slipstream...![]()
FamineI've been training Mr. Spec a lot recently and I can categorically state that the only direct correlation between events on track and the arrow appearing are when the car has gained more than 0.5s in the previous sector over the car directly in front of it, whether it's 0.6s behind or 4 hours behind.
Overtaking or slipstreaming don't come into it. It's just a pure gain of time in the last sector.
Your staking quite a lot of your attitude on a simple interpretation of words. You are definitely overtaking the car in front of you if you are gaining on it. You're just not passing it yet.chinnyDriving faster isnt exactly overtaking though, anymore than a 3 door hatch is a coupe regardless of what GM would have us believe.
