Kudos friend, now if I can put these on my GT '06 black center and chrome everywhere else i will be one happy customer. A nice set of shoes makes an old car look and feel like a million bucks. Come on PD I know you guys are up to something, but we need more variation in painting cars, just one solid color is for the birds, we need more.
If that were the case then I hope the game would count cars which are already in your garage rather then having to buy more again. My main hope/concern is regards the of the quality of the wheels, if they are as low poly and awful as the current standard wheels then there isn't a lot of point. However if they are premium or close to premium quality then that will make a massive step in bringing the standard cars closer to current gen quality.
I take issue with this for two reasons, one PD have steadily increased the visual fidelity of standards with all the updates, and two standard wheels don't look as crappy as they originally looked. I noticed the wheels changing drastically, they are more detailed than the standard cars themselves, have a look at standard cars with intricate rim designs and you will see what I mean. Heck PD even have the brake covers modeled and colored, slotted discs are slotted, cross drilled as well. Standards aren't as low detailed as you care to believe you know.
The rims should be available in the rim shop, would be stupid and ignorant to have you get rims by having to buy the car. Only rare cars should offer that kind of scavenger hunt, but for the majority of cars I just want their wheels front and center ready to be purchased. I don't need an extra homework assignment to get the all elusive rim because the blasted car won't show up in the UCD and I have to wait for it to appear in the OCD, no thank you! Tired of hunting, I want to enjoy my game and my newly minted rims, freshly painted and strut my stuff...guaranteed I will be saving lots of replays now. Customization is coming to GT5 in a way GT hasn't had it before, keep up the good work PD.
Side Note: While we are expecting the rim changing on standard cars, we know that we can expect some cars just won't be able to change their rims like the FGT, and many of those concept cars might not be allowed to change their rims and the Race cars might not allow it either. Here's hoping PD forget and do like in GT3, let you put any rim on any car you wanted. One can't remember that not all cars can be modified visually the F430 taught me that painful lesson. Oh PD one more thing, why isn't there an option to remove the spoiler from cars that come with one stock? One more thing, lose the permanent upgrade options, like stiffening, engine tune ups and weight reduction...it's so aggravating to have permanent stuff like that in the game when most everything else resets itself automatically. It's still a game first and foremost, I don't really like having to sift through multiple cars just tunes thank you. No point to having so many cars when you accumulate mileage, i rather wear out one then get another and use that one, not have 6 cars each gaining miles...when i have to replace those it will be one painful day on the wallet...stupid 20 million credit crap, once I got penniless trophy that ceased to make any sort of sense. Come on people lets get the word to Kaz to automatically remove the credit limitation upon receiving the penniless trophy, that is your bonus prize

WHAT?!? I know many people can get a point across in few words, but this gets absolutely nothing across but the fact that you haven't a clue why you're posting. just want to disagree but have nothing really to say but a ridiculous assumption.
And I do like a good set of wheels on my car. It's just that this wasn't really high on my wish list. Then again the black interiors and swappable wheels were stated by Kaz as two headaches for the team to remedy. So hopefully the team can now get to work on MUCH more serious stuff for both GT5 and 6. 👍
