Don't go for 16's, it's not such a common size for wheels so there's less selection and I think there's less avaliable in the way of tyres. The bigger the wheels the more you pay for tyres too. Go for 14's or 15's. Anything bigger will look stupid on a little Civic in my opinion and definately avoid chrome and don't get clear tail lights.
 
yeah stay away from clear tail lights. also stay away from body kits, wings and neon lights.
 
hehe indeed, well im back from my day of car hunting. And that car ended up turning out to be a 👎 .

I rang REVs which tells you if the chassis matches the engine.. AAaaannd it didnt.. lol. apparently the car had done over 260,000kms and the engine was from an EG vti 95 model apparently ( i thought they where 1.6L and not 1.5L like this one was.. but anyways) and when they dropped the new engine in they wound the K's back to 135,000kms... -_-`.

He was such a liar..lol. and we caught him out bigtime...

We took it for a burn and it went hard, lots of fun XD. We popped the hood and i could smell the oil burning -_-` 👎

Kinda disshearten'ed we went looking at a few car yards but they where all automatic, i mean wats the go with lazy people!..lol. So we bought a newspaper and planned our day out. We went to this one close to the water in Sydney, and it was compartively cheap, we checked it all out and the drivetrain was fantastic, the panels had a few dings but it was all.

SO I BOUGHT'ED it yay! i got it for $2900 honda civic 90' sedan manual EF. oh so happy :P

ill post some pics in a couple of days when i pick it up.

No.. I prefer to have a subtle body kit than go the pure sleeper direction.

There's nothing wrong with having a kit that improves the look of the car as far as good taste can go.

The only problem with that is that the definition of "good taste" varies from person to person. :)
 
also that no body kit in the world does that. none.

i was about to ask why in the hell having a newer vti moter was bad when you said it burnt oil.

Don't forget, wheels = more insurance. Insurance costs enough when you're young/have no history and it's advisable to check with your insurer before you stick on wheels as to what the extra cost will be. If you don't disclose EVERY mod you do to them they will just decline you for any claims you make.

D15B4: 1.5L SOHC dual carburetors. 90hp?

if thats what you've got i feel sorry for you... having carbs making an engine swap a lot harder. i've seen some people tune carbed hondas but still...

Just looking down at the car park at my school, and theres a Honda Civic VTi-R (4 Door), not sure what year but looks like a 2002/2003 model to me. I can understand why some would be disapointed why its not in the game, looks like an ok car.

I was REALY dissapointed when i realised there is no sedan of any civic varient in the whole of GT4!!!.. i was like 👎 .. i couldnt believe this, especially due to its popularity, im a huge honda fan and got all teary over this ;_;.

Another thing that ive noticed is that when you open up the Driving park menu there are many Honda Civic RS's lined up in the background. Now this is a sedan, but can we access them?.. this is so stupid if you cant, its as if PD is teasing us somehow, with their little mind games.

Is there any other dissapointed fans out there? Is their other models that you loved and were dropped in the making of the new GT?

1. That little thing with the lined-up Civic RSs has crossed my mind too. I would like to have not only the 3-doors.
2. The Ferio from '93 should have been there.

;_; leave it alone. Im not planing on modding the engine, its plenty powerful enough atm. Ive fallen in love with the gears though. *swoon*.. you can shift from 1st to 5th and still pull cleanly. And the clutch is just drop and go, so much fun *tears*. I just had my first traction loss incedent in it also, pulled up at an intersection to turn right... and the rain surely helped, but im pretty sure i heard some loss in traction noises..lol. Im going to get 15"s ive decided, and im looking up prices to peal the **** tinting and put some nice stuff on there. Ive gotta find a Honda wreckers so i can find some basic parts ( passengers visor, a small section of side bump-strip behind the rear door) and i want to see the price of a set of tail lights from the (series 1?) EF series( the vertical ones with the black strip in the middle). Also depending on how it looks, i may get the same models bumper, to match the lights. :/ all ads up but should all be cool.

Muh new project, i couldnt have asked for a better beginners car.

yes you could have. you could have asked for one with fuel injection!
 
lol.. the selection around here is frugal. Pretty much every car i saw on the internet was an automatic, or a hatchback. Neither of which i wanted.. at all.. ssh .. i love muh car.
 
unless your going to bump the compression to about 12.5:1, get some weber 45mm side draft carbs and a serious race cam your hopeless.
