That is quite a bit of body work though they have to do, though. Probably are charging a little for the Callaway name as well.
Good point, they are altering the roofline. Add to it that they're doing it in carbon fibre and the price seems justified.
Callawaycars.comQ: Where does the AeroWagon hatch begin and end? Is the car still a targa top?
A: The car retains its original Corvette targa top. The AeroWagon bodywork is located in the original Corvette hatch area and utilizes the OEM latch mechanism.
me and my dad's came off the line today at 1pm ...should have it next wednesday/thursday (hopefully)
it was supposed to have been built and here weeks ago but there was a quality issue with the carbon roof option we ordered..

God no never that. Im GTR for life. All due respect to the C7 but thats a big step backwards if you had to choose between the two. Me and my dad who has always been a big corvette guy are getting it together. Im gonna use it for some AutoX and a few track events as he is gonna use it more as just sunday cruiser around town car and ( he is the stereotypical older vette guy)
Hopefully it will show up end of the week. I had hoped to run it sunday in my next autoX event but it might be best to put a few miles on it first. So might not have any run videos until Nov event
will be sure to post pics and a review when it arrives
How is it a big step backwards, if we are talking about the plain Vette which is actually for the mid aged crisis or young up and comer who wants speed but not too expensive sure it could be called a step back. Though the GTR is in a completely different class, the Vette doesn't become Superman until it puts on the cape with a big Z07 tag or ZR1 on it and then it is on par with the GTR easily.
pictures can't do them justice.
I'm beginning to think in my eyes, this is the best exterior combo. for the car. But, even then, I think the interior is best thing about the new 'Vette. My cousin just posted this from Newport, CA. Looks great.

Black wheels with that red combo would make it even better. Would look so sick. That is an excellent angle of that car too.I'm beginning to think in my eyes, this is the best exterior combo. for the car. But, even then, I think the interior is best thing about the new 'Vette.
Oy.. How is this even possible?

CarScoopsThe eyewitness tipster and person behind the camera also shared the following information about the accident with the site:
"The individual responsible was a special needs person that had a driver's license SOMEHOW. But he made two Laps inside the parking area and took out 2 Vettes and 2 impalas. He claimed to have had a diabetic shock. But witness says he had a very deranged look on his face and he knew what he was doing. Needless to say he walked off without any fines or charges against him AND the free t shirt for driving the cars."
