That was a fun streak of four C races on my alt before I got DC'd on the matching screen. Finished 4th in all of them having started 19th or 20th, which I'm pretty happy about considering it's Tokyo Central  Gained 4k DR as well.

A lot of YouTubers assume that everybody in the world is watching them so do an half-arsed apology on there which you will never see. Some of the others are even worse and genuinely believe that nothing they do is wrong so if you drove into his car and spun it is obviously your fault and you will be in a upcoming video called @sems4arsenal is a 🤬.

Yeh, I googled "@GOTMAXPOWER is a 🤬", but there were too many entries to watch.........:O

Abandoned the Mustang.
Lifted one second.
Finally had a clean race.
I tried the Mustang last night for the hell of it. P16 to P11 after a rage punt on lap 6, otherwise would have been another P7. I likely deserved it because I nudged the guy on the second chicane. I’ll have to check the replay to see if he even got a penalty.

The Mustang is meh, it’s quicker in a straight line than the Atenza, fully planted when you ride the rumble strips, but brakes suck so it’s too hard to complete passes.

Anyway, I got a win in my FIA race so it was still a good night!

This has been a truly epic week on the Nordschleife. With curfews, no work, and crappy weather I pretty much had GTS on all week on the Nordschleife. Running to the ps4 just in time for the auto drive countdown, for an 8 minute race every 20 minutes. Looking at my stats I must have done about 230 races on the Nord last week, yesterday the longest marathon, most of the day until the races changed at 3 AM, about 50 races

It started decent enough on Monday, it even looked like it shouldn't be that hard to stick to SR.S. Wow, was I wrong. In the morning it was fine, when I came back to race in the late afternoon things had changed. It didn't take long until I got hit a couple races in a row, dropping one SR rank after the other. Any SR Down is -10 SR, penalty or not. Race B was worth a max of 5 SR. Get stuck in the pinball mayhem and some races I dropped 30 SR before reaching Flugplatz. Last week I've had no less than 5 DR resets :ouch:

Not that it mattered for fun and success. There are actually better racers at lower SR than in the back at SR.S (All races were without qualifying). in SR.S I end up starting behind D/S drivers with fast impatient drivers behind me, a recipe for disaster. Try to be careful not to hit the car in front, get nailed from behind. Try to make an early pass, the car ahead gets mad that you dare to pass him so early, or simply doesn't know where to brake or how to share the road and you get nailed anyway.

Losing SR was as simple as this
wGkWBEe.gif

Another race with at most a chance to limit SR loss to -5 before the race has properly started.

Lower SR is a tragicomedy until Flugplatz, cars flying off left and right, usage of the road is optional. However after the race gets good to great. Somehow in lower SR people do their best to share the road, even though with the old penalty system this would ruin your SR

The only advantage of the current system, at least no penalties for close contact racing.

Some people were pure trouble though and I a few times I had to resort to extremes to survive like this :O
e70qrUP.gif

He had already rammed me off twice, was not going to give him a third chance. No penalty for that btw...

Why wouldn't I simply stay behind him and let his penalties do the work? Watch this :banghead:

It was a battle zone, with the hard task to figure out who could be trusted and who needed to be handled with extreme measures...

Actually all races were pretty good in the morning until late afternoon. I would gain SR (up to +5 per race) to get it all taken away again when racing after 5pm. Then in the evening when the kids are in bed it cleaned up again. I earned plenty DR and gave at least 60K to the void from multiple DR resets.

I did make it back to 95 last night after another reset in the afternoon. SR 31 at the 8pm 'save' time (Day 846) not long after a reset to 15K from 36K. Later in the evening is definitely safer for racing now with the kids all being 'idle' during the day.

However thanks to the epic struggle with SR, an insane amount of victories from the back.

Adding 58 wins to the Nordschleife.

After this week, 1481 races completed at the Nordschleife, 212 wins, 1099 top 5. (98 poles not from this week obviously)

No racing for me today, I simply can't anymore

:cheers: You are a freaking beast.
Nice job!

You were in that race, so I'm guessing you know what I'm talking about.

If he does it again, I'm gonna call him out. I have no issue naming and shaming repeat offenders even if they are Youtubers.

Ha! I think I was watching that livestream. It was yesterday, right? It does rub me the wrong way when some people cause an accident and laugh it off with a half-arsed apology, but come over all indignant, expletives and all, when they're on the receiving end of it.

I don't blame you, I've never had any problems with him before but some of the other 'celebrities' are terrible to race against. I think the one who hit you is a site member here.

Yeh, I googled "@GOTMAXPOWER is a 🤬", but there were too many entries to watch.........:O
Are they all ones that you've uploaded, I save my most spectacular dirty driving for your back bumper

When I see someone streaming, I always type ‘time to punt the streamer’
Like Top Gun
‘Time to buzz the tower, Goose’
If they are no qual, if they touch my stuff they will get their stuff touched.
I’ve seen such bad behavior from streamers that I am very very leery and will nuke them just like anybody else if they cheat or barge.
Treat all the same. You tube means jack.
I don’t make watching streams a pastime, but you only need watch one or two to see a guy bounce off a driver ahead, upsetting the car and ruining that persons race and what do you hear? Ooh just a little rub but he turned into me there or something of that ilk...

Today I'm suffering extreme lag in all races, I can't barely overtake because the other players are constantly teleporting from one side to the other all over the circuit, is anyone having issues with the connection too or It's my connection? I tried to reset the router but nothing change, the quality connection said 40ms of ping but it's almost impossible to play right now, yesterday the game works like a charm but right now is annoying to play like that :banghead:

Btw, I finished 5th in the last race in Fuji with the Mustang, it's faster than the Lambos and Porsche in the main straight, a bit clunky in the middle section but enough fast to maintain the gap with the other cars and overtake them in the straight (in the last race I reached 280kmh taking all the draft from a Mercedes and a Lambo ), I did 1:40.0 with DS4, faster than my qualy lap (1:40.2).

After dropping from SR S to B in two races at Monza, courtesy of all the rammers, I thought I'd try this weeks Race C - on the basis that I've got nothing to lose!

Two races, two wins, and back up to SR S - must have been a fluke, can't see it continuing like that all week......

Still a lot of 20 second penalties further back though - some people still haven't got the hang of the tyre requirements

In the same situation as yourself, went from S to B at Monza, did Race C this morning and rage quit for the first time in ever. Car ahead lost it on the final turn, smacked the wall and got 4 secs of penalties, I undertook them to their right, as we cross the line and come to T1, they pit maneuver me into the wall to my left. I get a 3 second penalty and SR down, for "forcing another car off track"; yeah right, PD!!!

Think I'm gonna stick with Race A this week.

No races yet this week, but I did run a bunch of laps in the Alfa at Tokyo. No top 10 this week for me. I was less than a tenth off when I set my best time early, but I haven't come closer than 3 tenths to that time since I set it. I have the feeling it will stand, even though my optimum is about 3 tenths faster. This layout of Tokyo isn't my best. It's all about entry speed and corner speed. I do better when optimizing your drive out is important, as I feel that is one of my strong points. The top 10 in the americas is already getting towards mid 16's to make the list, and I have a feeling it will be mostly 15's by weeks end, which is probably going to put me a second off what I would need to make it. I'll probably try out some other cars, and just race. Today, though, I'll do some laps on the other tracks, find out where I stand on those, and work on car selection. Maybe I can race from the back this week and not set times on my alt. Gotta stop doing so many Q laps and just switch accounts in time to race. I don't know how @Sven Jurgens manages to never screw that up. I seem to get caught up and forget I need to pause before the line. Must have killed too many brain cells over the decades.:banghead:

I think I'm done with Race A for a few days. Every new race was dirtier than the one before it. If there was a battle royale racing game, this was it. I endured it as I wanted to get a win and it felt like happening, and it luckily did.

Despite my 10th win, participating in this destruction derby left me feeling absolutely drained, and I also spent the whole race feeling bad about punting someone on the first lap when the madness ensued. Watched a reply and turned out it wasn't as bad as I thought, just a little accidental bump to the rear which luckily didn't affect another driver's race.

Overall it felt like winning here is pretty easy if you are lucky on the first lap and defend the inside at all costs. But you need to stick to defensive tactics and know how exactly others can ruin your race to prevent it.

In other news, at one point today my DR reached as high as 19381 points, which is my all time best result. I was a bit higher than 18k some time before, but back then it took me hours of practicing on one track to get there. This time I didn't spent near as much time preparing, so I guess it is a good sign.

These are absolutely mad numbers. Congrats! I think I wouldn't be able to race anymore for a month after a week like this

I've screwed that up before, I rarely enter qualify mode anymore for that reason. Certainly not on tracks I know like the back of my hand like the Nordschleife and Sarthe. Jump in cold, learn on the track with all the other Monday lunatics

I did enter race A qualify briefly when the Nord races were done. To see how slow race A would be, very very slooooow. The road is so wide, the car doesn't feel like its accelerating, only seems to stop steering when you push the throttle down  I quit when I got back onto the oval part, that was long enough. GR.1 was so fun on that track, yet that was before GR.C was added or before my love for GR.C cars.

Last time I screwed up (accidentally qualified) was
708 1:23.616 2.556 Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit 2019-06-02
It sucked!

Last time I qualified on purpose
2097 0:43.260 1.647 Blue Moon Bay Speedway 2020-03-15
BMB from the back does not work in a 10 lap race. Mid field start worked very well.

Before that it was only to compare my time to the previous time that N24 combo was on
110 8:28.000 2.044 Nürburgring Nordschleife 2019-12-08
That date was a Sunday 👍

I forgot to set a time on the Nord last week. My best finishes were around 8:12 from the back while I would catch up to and pass up to 7:43 qualifiers. Anywhere in between that I guess.

This week's daily races not looking good from my perspective, can't really get in the groove for them. Race A interesting but a ramfest. Race B been there, done that & they have the extra cichane in. Race C, fun but when pushing I was getting 1.5 secs wall collisions, better than the 5 sec penalty I admit. I might be burnt out after a week at the Nordschliefe  Best get on with some jobs around the house instead :)
