Even in EMEA it has been mixed lobbies this morning. An A+, a few A's, some B, some C. Even saw a single D. And it's not as if the A+ and A always are the fastest in the lobbies.
Some proper quick ring specialists out today.
I'm doing .22 and that was good enough for 3-4 but as the day progresses it will maybe give me a 10 as a starting position.
Edit: since the rear is filled with no-qual racers as always on the ring
Yes. Same here. Setting a time puts me.midfield now so I can do some racing. But so far been all B and up in my lobbies. A few DR reset ring specials taking pole as well. 1 B/S with a 7.00 whipped the A+ boys in one of the races.

Will this see the reemergence of the one and only @Sven Jurgens ?

America is still asleep

Daily Race C just changed, its TOD is set to 18:15, so nighttime racing.

Race A's car is the Integra.
Ok, sooo...that sucks, and...that sucks. Maybe I can handle the Nord at night, but FF in Tokyo doesn't do it. Might be time to figure out the mountain...I have improved since the last time I put in any time there.

Edit. Just looked to see where I finished on the boards at Suzuka. #35 in the region. Congrats to #33 and 34:gtpflag:

Still not very adventurous with their combinations I see. Back to F1 for the week I guess.

Done a couple of sighting laps around Bathurst in the Jag before I start my chores, the high beam is not set up properly, it illuminates the tree tops and not the road ahead, that's going to annoy the hell out of me
Probably be mainly racing around the Ring this week, now I'm back home and connected to the router by cable I should be able to race close to others without jumping around and putting everyone off 👍

It's awful in the dark! Will the race always be at night, or is it just matching the real time of day in that location meaning it will be a day race later this evening?

Always at night. Race time of day doesn't change to reflect the country origin timezone for the track.

I adjusted brightness levels with the in-game screen calibration tool to compensate although a pain switching back every time.

Are we further spaced out at the Ring this time?
Only done one race so far but the distance to cars seemed quite far.
It is nice to do the Nordschliefe with race tyres and a bit downforce for a change, 2 laps would be better too :)

For Race C, I have to run -5 BB on the Supra or else it feels really squirrelly when I’m going down the hill.

Maintain a little bit of throttle down the hill, even when braking, it helps a lot to keep the tail in check. Works with all cars, but most helpful with MR and MR “like” cars, like the Supra and RX Vision.

I think we start with the same distance, but getting a good start makes a bigger difference in race cars.we have been doing road cars for the last many times and there are less difference in acceleration and even more when it's a one make race..

Got to admit, big willow was mega fun , lots of great racing, i think its always a blast when strategy comes into play

however this was my most controversial moment of the week

Had to watch the replay and took some pictures and i still cant figure it out why the game gifted him the win , unless the speed trap is what decided the winner

This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:
This article was published by Andrew Evans (@Famine) on August 31st, 2020 in the Gran Turismo Sport category.

Looking forward to the Gr4 races at the 'Ring... a bit of an uncommon combination, but maybe more relevant to popular real racing at that track... should be fun. (PS: I wish the game would offer a Gr4 911 to race, as an option, instead of only the Cayman...)

Weird, but I suspect the issue is latency between the server and machines, all of which must have stacked up to a bigger gap than the actual gap between you and crg88x! Fun finish, though it looks like you were robbed of a win! I enjoyed the races there, they were typically good for some good close racing.
